Easy win vs aggro decks
Update for darkmoon please <3
Hi, I have a question - what is your win condition actually? The deck seems super reactive, and there is not a single big threat. Probably works against aggro, but against any other archetype what is the gameplan? I don't think fatigue works, as you will be out-fatigued against decks running N'Zoth, Reno, any kind of priest deck, control warlocks, control warriors, etc. etc.
I think you need to reduce the amount of spells and clears and include some threats to the opponent and actual damage.
This is a known issue with odd warrior in general, and the main thing keeping it out of tier 1. The deck is pretty much all-in on crushing aggro, forfeiting the control matchups and resulting in an extremely polarized matchup spread. The main way you beat control/combo is by milling key cards with Coldlight Oracle and Brann Bronzebeard. Silas Darkmoon and Soulbound Ashtongue can be added to give an otk option against control decks (drop Ashtongue, use Silas to give it to the opponent, and use Shield Slam on it with more armor than your opponent has health), but the deck is still grossly unfavored in those matchups.
Generally speaking, odd warrior gets stronger in an aggro meta and weaker in a control meta. Your main win condition is outlasting your opponent's threats and winning the fatigue match. We're in a meta where decks like embiggen druid and discard warlock make odd warrior a strong laddering choice, but the strategy is situational at best in the long term.
Thanks, same thoughts here, but this deck does not even have Ashtongue and Silas, which is a pretty wild and difficult to pull combo anyway. So even less viable in my opinion and I really don't see how you can get anywhere near 80% WR, or even 55%. Just another click-bait.
Thanks for the comment. From rank4 to legend i found principally aggro decks (odd paladin, odd dh, discardlock, secret mage, token druid etc)
There is a new interesting otk version with Soulbound Ashtongue Silas Darkmoon
Deffo think this deck is missing Archivist Elysiana to make sure you don't fatigue to death...
Current meta is not that slow when fatigue is crucial for game result imo
Love odd warrior, I think Coerce is too strong to miss.
There are many strong card for odd warriors. Others are Zola the Gorgon Dr. Boom, Mad Genius Bulwark of Azzinoth Eternium Rover Deathlord Archivist Elysiana Kobold StickyfingerAntique Healbot Bash and rush cards. I love odd warrior too :D
Bulwark of Azzinoth has saved me countless times.
