I love this deck. I've been playing a similar one that has actually been doing pretty good I'd like advice on.
here it is - http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1366355-trojan-mage-no-minion
As you said yourself in the comments multiple times, this deck struggles so much in the current meta.
Had a 19 wins 1 loss last season with this deck with a slight variance of cards. Now its down to a normal 50% winrate over 20 games, basically losing to every aggro deck that gets lucky.
Used to be able to control the board until they ran out of cards, tanking face damage until I knew it was the perfect time to strike without being in lethal range. Now the just reset their hand over and over while constantly doing face damage (especially demon hunter with all the shard cards)
Which is a shame, since this deck is fun and extremely skill based compared to most decks now. If you're not patient and manage your resources, you lose. Now it's just full RNG and hoping you're not against the insanely overstatted aggro decks of this expansion. Hopefully they nerf voracious reader and the shard tech a bit, right now they are just dominating ladder vs more fun decks
I tried this deck the other day and didn't much luck. I'm assuming this is due to aggro flooding the ranking system. I'm gonna toy around with it to adapt better to "mindless" hunter
I run a similar deck, which I used to get to legend last season (and just about to hit rank 5 this season).
I would say that a single Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron is a must.
I would also say that one copy of Pyroblast is a must. It closes out the games so often.
Victories often happen due to either of those cards, and I wouldn't replace them for anything.
Other changes I have, but are less important
Generally I feel like I am favored against most matchups. I almost never lose to tempo mage, Rogue and Shaman is usually favored and Paladin is maybe only slightly favored. Games against Galakrond Priest and Warlocks are favored, but the games often go a long time. Bomb warriors can be difficult, and I haven't played against a Druid in a while.
Demon Hunter is an almost certain loss though, and you have to get a good start to beat Hunters.
Here's a game I had against a Galakrond Warlock last night, memorable only because it went into fatigue:

last season this deck held its own well, however this season it seems to be struggling. I will defo look at the changes you suggested! thank you!
You should definitly play Combustion in the current meta.
I'll give it a go as current meta is making this deck less effective!
Quest is ok, yep.
But no Khadgar, mate, because it's NO MINION deck ))
Second copy of Deep Freeze maybe
What about the Quest, or Khadgar? Sure a lot of spells.
Quest would be fine if you wanted it however Khadgar is a no-no because it's a no minion deck so it's easier to use Front of Power and Apex Blast. Adding Khadgar would make these cards harder to use unless you got Khadgar out on the first few turns
What can I put in for Reno?
Puzzlebox mate =)
i'd say either go with Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron or possibly Raid the Sky Temple to get Ascendant Scroll :)
