This is my take on Midrange Secret Paladin. I used to play Secret Paladin before (around april), while using High Priest Thekal and Molten Giant package and Divine Favor in it. It was okej tier 3 decks, with occasional huge swings with giants on turn 3.
However this time i threw away High Priest Thekal package and i added Lorekeeper Polkelt, which is amazing card in this deck. The biggest problem of the deck was one mana cost secrets in mid/late game. With Lorekeeper Polkelt not only you will put secrets on the bottom, but you will also place Mysterious Challenger on the top. Which is main card in your deck. After them you will draw Loatheb and Leeroy Jenkins, which are basically your finishers.
I also swapped Divine Favor for Crystology, which is card with much better tempo in the early game and one of the targets for Crystology is Nerub'ar Weblord. This card can hurt your gameplay and i still experiment with it, however it can payoff a lot in games against classes which relies too much on the battlecries. For example delaying turn on which Reno Jackson is played in Priest.
I will try to test as much as possible this deck in the future and i will update it if change something and reason why i changed it.
Disliked ur trash deck
Reason: BMer
I +1 for nostalgia :-)
Hi, I don't have Commander Rhyssa me too, is it very importante or not ?
how important is Commander Rhyssa?
also +1 i loved secret paladin back in the day this looks like super good deck building which is really refreshing will likely give it a go :)
I think that card is important for the deck, because it can create some really disgusting game plays, because many of those secrets are buff based and with Commander Rhyssa that buff is doubled. However i don't think card is worth spending 1600 dust. If you have it, it is cool. You can try deck while using it. If you don't have it, try to find something else which can replace it. Deck isn't tier 1 or maybe even 2 (depending how deck turn out to be in the end, it need to be more refined), so it isn't worth investing dust if you are not confident in it's power level.
