Introduction:

Hey everybody,  I wanted to share this deck that took me to legend for the first time after a long hiatus from the game. It took me around 200 games from low silver to legend.

I'm talking about face hunter without Lorekeeper Polkelt and with all common and rare cards except for Dragonbane which can be replaced with  Unleash the Hounds

I will write an in-depth guide for mulligan and matchups if there is interest. Happy ranking :)

Mulligan:
Always keep:

One drops, in order of priority Intrepid Initiate ,Demon CompanionDwarven Sharpshooter

Phase Stalker . Just do it

Never keep:

Traps, it negates the insane value that Phase Stalker can bring

Voracious Reader. Keeping it makes it difficult to get value from this card; topdecking it can win you the game,

Any card that costs 3 or more.

General tips:
Going first:

Try to setup Phase Stalker or Dwarven Sharpshooter by keeping and playing Tour Guide

Going second:

Always keep Intrepid Initiate and a one cost spell. Adorable Infestation on turn one is your best opener and hard to deal with for most decks.

Matchups:

Will add at 5 upvotes :)

Demon hunter:

Soul DH is a tough matchup; the amount of healing that  Aldrachi Warblades provides is insane. Try avoiding having 3 minions on board because they can easily be cleared by Blade Dance

Your best bet to win is to have strong one drops early and tempo them out. You have to go face and take risks to dish out as much damage as you can, as quickly as you can. Try to set up lethal with double [card]Kill Command/card].

Druid:

Probably your best matchup, however, you need to always get your traps in play to deny their high-value plays with Guardian Animals. You win this matchup by keeping Phase Stalker and developing a strong board for quick a lethal.

Hunter:

Mirror matchups are a face race. Getting good one drops makes the difference here; Dwarven Sharpshooter will be the mvp for the player that gets it first.

Highlander hunter outvalues you, but you kill them so fast it doesn't matter. Play as if you are going against druid and try to win fast by having a good early tempo.

Mage:

You are generally favored in this matchup, nonetheless, mage has the potential of high-rolling and beating you, but those instances are rare. Good usage of Eaglehorn Bow for removal is key. Develop a board and go face for a swift victory.

Paladin:

This is your worst matchup, but most games are still winnable. You need to play differently than you would against any other deck to win.

The game plan consists of controlling the board early and getting your traps out at the correct times. Paladin is very good at developing big boards with taunts and divine shields, however, if you develop a good board during the early game, their taunts and heals become less impactful. Libram of Hope is usually the MVP for them, but you can turn that play around with a well-timed Pressure Plate

Priest:

A decent matchup if you play against their board clears. Getting an early Phase Stalker is the key to win. Priests usually take too long to get going, you need to make sure your traps hit the correct targets early and everything should go pretty smooth.

Rouge:

A generally favored matchup. You hit their face harder and faster than them. Explosive Trap will be the MVP for you as it can clear most of their boards. Winning with tempo is easy; just make sure to take good minion trades when possible.

Shaman:

Every single shaman deck is a joke in this meta. Stick to a tempo-oriented gameplan so you can react to any cheese they may try to pull off during the match. If you lose it will most likely be from an exotic combo with totems, but you can prevent those by killing them before turn 6 :)

Warlock:

An easy matchup since they deal damage to themselves to get ahead on board. Good one drops are key in this matchup; go all out on board since they have a difficult time clearing the board without killing their own minions. There are many lethal setups possible with Unleash the Hounds if you decide to run that card.

Warrior:

A generally favored matchup. The gameplay is similar to priest, play around their board clears and hit face hard before they can get their huge value plays. Similarly to paladin, Pressure Plate can be the MVP for you.
