This is the deck that I used for my run from d4 to legend (I was playing a lot on my phone so I didn't record full statistics, but I had some huge win streaks and it took me less than 30 games overall)
A standard Guardian Druid, without Dragons but with King Phaoris. There are 1000 ways to win, but none feels as good as playing Phaoris with a hand full of expensive spells and then following up with Survival of the Fittest (which can be for free sometimes if Phaoris summons a Kalecgos;)
When the deck can ramp early with Overgrowth/Wild Growth into Guardian Animals (or into a 5-drop + Animated Broomstick as 2nd best alternative). Animated Broomstick is probably one of the most key cards in this deck actually, allows so many turnaround plays and board clears where you would otherwise be dead in the absence of a taunt.
Worst matchup seems to be Bomb Warrior, but even that is not so terrible. It can sometimes lose to aggro like Face Hunter if you don't draw well early on, but I'd say it is at least a 50-50 matchup. hsreplay claims that Guardian Druid loses to Libram Paladin, but I am 4-2 vs them so far, again the possibility to have a big swing turn in more than one way has won me some matchups vs Pally that looked grim. Every other matchup is at least ok+
Any chance theres a temporary replacement for Phaoris? I know hes the star of the deck but I haven't gotten him yet T-T
Without Phaoris I would consider running Speaker Gidra and possibly cut the 2nd Overflow and/or the 2nd Survival of the Fittest and add perhaps 1-2 copies of Exotic Mountseller as an alternative way to generate (a.k.a. cheat out) some value
I don't even think he is that good. First of all you struggle hard against aggro with guardian Druid, any card that is 10 Mana simply handicaps you. Eventhough you can ramp quickly but then again, at 7 Mana you have to play Guardian Animals (so no 7 Mana spells left) and if you have Kael you wanna play Survival. So when would you even play Pharao?
Only time I can think of is to get one or two 10 Mana Minions but then you need the Taunt ones - I d say too risky. Rather put an Exotic Mountseller..
I find the current meta is a lot less aggro than before. I mostly face other druids, tempo mages and bomb warriors. I often find myself at 10 mana with an empty board where both Overflow and Survival of the Fittest seem quite underwhelming plays, while Phaoris can instantly create a large board. This deck doesn't run many minions so if your opponent manages to clear your 4-5 beasts you are only left with Ysera. There is where Phaoris becomes important. Another source of big board presence
A well balanced Druid variant, with Phaoris as the kicker! I enjoyed playing this deck, in a meta that is looking difficult to stray away from established builds and cards.
