The idea: if they can't kill your minions because of Stealth, then you'll always have targets for your big buff spells.
Since several people have asked, I'll post here: this deck did very well (70% ish) up to Diamond 5, then hit a clear ceiling and dropped to about 50%.
I'm still playing almost my first draft of the deck, so I think there must be a lot of room to refine the concept. Maybe today I'll screw around with the list.
Update 9/27/20
OK, this version is still experimental; for example, I probably want two Angling Rods or two Truesilvers instead of one of each. But so far, this deck is 65% (13-7) at Ranks Diamond 5 thru 3, which is much better than the previous version was doing, so I'll go ahead and share my progress.
Update 9/28/20
Been playing a few games with the displayed version of the deck -- I swapped out one card based on winrate statistics. However, the winrate statistics proved to be very inaccurate compared to what they looked like 30 games later, so basing anything on them was probably foolish.
In any case, both the original and the "updated" version have been about breaking even 50%, not helping me climb nor dropping me below the D5 rank-floor.
Update 9/29/20
Updated the deck based on some stats with a bigger sample size, and a few hunches. This latest version is 12-12 so far, at the border of Diamond 4/Diamond 5, so ... could be worse, but could be better too.
Update 10/15/20
I have been playing other decks instead of this one, but ... I decided to take it out for a spin again today, starting at the bottom of Diamond 2, and I just went 7-0 to hit Legend!!! So apparently this deck can still be viable at those ranks with a bit of luck!
I recommend playing at about 7 am Eastern Time on the NA servers. Seems like an easier meta.
This is only my second time hitting Legend! (My first was with Even Shaman back in the Genn/Baku days.)
Update 10/16/20
11-11 so far in Legend.

Interesting, even though they're both "Stealth Paladin," his is pretty controlly, while mine is quite aggressive. Very very different decks.
The deck never performs, it's your performance that matters. :)
LOL
what rank did you get with this deck? i am missing micro mummy x2 and don't wanna craft them if the deck doesn't perform well.
Sorry, I haven't checked Hearthpwn in a couple weeks. Just now saw this comment.
This deck performed very well (70% or so) climbing from Plat 10 to Diamond 5, then it hit a clear ceiling. At my current ranks, it only wins about 50%.
Yeah dude! I had the same idea recently. How's this working for you?
+1
Also at which rank are you using it?
This might be the decisive argument for me to finally craft High Abbess Alura
I've yet to use it for serious competitive climb, but did jack around from plat 10-plat 5 with it with decent success. Unsure how much of that was due to novelty and opponent not knowing what to expect.
Stealth deck or not, High Abbess is a SICK card in priest and paladin. Super fun, would definitely recommend craft if you can afford it (provided you've got the rest of your meta essentials covered).
Haven't played HS much in the past two weeks or checked Hearthpwn. Sorry for not responding.
How's this deck doing for you since you commented?
Did you call me? Devolving Missiles
Interesting, but not convinced of the agent braggart in this deck.. also, Paladin does not have burn like rogue to finish it off or remove board obstacles...
Aggreed on the first part. Also with the burn. But you could argue that your way "to finish it" is always buff a stealth minion to max, so no need for burn.
On the remove board obstacles part I do not agree since paladin has some boad clears.
