Update 11/09

Sorry for late update. I am making small changes that will be final to this deck. I cut Lightning Bolt as it was too often I got stuck with only spells in hand and no minions to play. I added 2xSurging Tempest to have a guarantee turn1 play vs aggro decks. I have added 1xDevolving Missiles to have any chance against paladin and to get through taunts. Finally I added 1xEVIL Totem to help a bit with value. Why not 2x? Draconic lackeys slow you down so much in Scholomance that it is impossible to win fast matchups and also antisinergy with Voracious Reader. Why not Trick Totem? It kills your own minions too often.

Update 08/09

Hey guys, thought I will update you with my WR on a bigger sample. Today i hit 42 games around 2k legend on EU with 67% WR on SHAMAN before balance patch. I think that is a crazy good number. The only games i tend to lose is if i get stuck with hand full of 0 mana spells and no draw at the begining. I'm trying to calibrate the deck to minimize that issue.

What i have been testing today? Tried to put back EVIL Totem instead of Voracious Reader which worked fine for few games, but i don't think that is the way. Seen Boarcontrol playing Totem Shaman after patch with Ancestral Healing and been testing it myself in 4 games. Worked great to dump your hand to draw more with Voracious Reader but i will continue testing if I won't be running out of resources too early. I will update you tomorrow. If you have any suggestions, lmk!

Update 07/09

I mixed it up a bit. Basic draw engine stays untouched - Mana Tide Totem and Voracious Reader. As we include Mana Tide Totem, we add the Totem package. I thought Bloodlust will work great as a finisher with totem package but it is a bait, it is too slow in this meta and when you are stuck with 2 copies before T5, having nothing to put on board = you lose.

So we transition to finish games with spells instead, adding Serpentshrine Portal and Lightning Bolt that combo very well with Diligent Notetaker and Wrath of Air Totem and even Intrepid Initiate.

Now we have the unicorn, WR stays at 77% with new version ;)

Only card I am debating on is Shieldbearer which feels both amazing and very bad at times.

As always GL & HF (and abuse it till it lasts)!

He protec, he attac but most importantly he draws cards!

Hey guys, I still haven't given up on shaman and I'm coming at you with a new aggro deck. It has potential to insanely pressure the board early, has build in draw engine and even if you can't finish your oponent early, you still can force them to use all their answers and follow up with Totem Goliath into Totemic Reflection and Bloodlust to close out games.

This deck literally eliminates all the weaknesses of aggro/spell/totem shaman being slow, clunky and lacking draw.

With this shaman you build insane boards early, you pressure them and draw cards. This deck maximizes the number of cards playable early to minimize the chance that you will float any mana or get stuck with only 0 mana or 5 mana cards in hand early, which happened to me a lot with Totem Shaman.

Is this T1 deck? No! Shaman will not have a T1 deck this expansion, his power level is just too low.

Is it the best shaman deck currently? I believe so! And i played many of them.

Mulligan with this deck is hard. So take some time to practice. You will want to plan your first 3 turns ahead to put as much stats on the board as possible and not float any mana! Keep combo pieces. Fish for Mana Tide Totem and Totemic Reflection vs slower decks. If facing faster decks, get on board as fast as possible, and overwhelm them with stats. Keep Shieldbearer vs aggro, it comboes well with Diligent Notetaker and Storm's Wrath. Never keep Voracious Reader in your opening hand unless you can dump your hand on T1. I almost always keep Mana Tide Totem in my opening hand.

You kinda have to get ahold of it but when you do, you will demolish.

I played this deck around 2000-1500 Legend, I can only imagine what a powerhouse it would be in lower ranks.

As always, GL & HF!
