Hello everyone!
I'm v1ci0us, Hearthstone player since beta and Twitch streamer (no sellout, I stream in italian language).
This is my masterpiece: the Combo Resurrect Priest.
The deck is actually insane, I've beaten all T1 decks that are being played in meta.
All games were played live on my channel on European server from Diamond 5 to Legend.
Get some upvote and I'll post a guide!
Vod of a solid run 10 games win streak here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/720995465
Regarding the early game:
x2 Breath of the Infinite
x2 Holy Nova
x2 Renew
Khaarhrj
And most of all you have Hero Power to manage the opponent aggression.
Once you play your main engine cards: Khartut Defender & Infiltrator you should be good to go.
There is a lot to be said, player experience and meta knowledge have a key role.
I understand the deck is difficult and not for new players.
You should be able to bait opponent strong cards as sap, force oppo aggression in the matchup where Plague is strong resummon infinite Khartut while playing against Bomb Warrior.
Some example:
Against Druid you like Infiltrator manipulation.
Against Paladin you want a T9 board reset with Plague and Infiltrator
Against aggro decks you are looking mostly for Breath / Nova and Khartut
Against Control decks you want to play Resurrect
Manage risk / reward and you'll get your wins!
Thanks for the feedbacks.
Well thirteen days later I almost complete it, I just miss the Mindflayer Kaahrj
.
I'm still learning how to play it, I have a hard time against DHs and their Magtheridon because I always revive their 1/3 Warders instead of my minions. And against the rogue if I don't get some [card]Breath of the Infinite[/card] or Holy Nova in the first turns. The same with shaman, if I can't do it in the first turns those totems already have health 3 or more and they stay at 4 attack then my Shadow Word: Ruin doesn't catch them.
Well, try to mulligan for Kharut, Inflitrator + those AoEs spells. Otherwise, you are on mercy of RNGJesus with card draw...
Thank you.
If I notice that, it is a deck very susceptible to RNG in the draw. I guess most decks are.
I go 4-12, 25%, and every time I learn why I lose.
I think for the most part my opponents on Plat 10 know my deck more than I do.
For example:
Priest, copy my deck with Psychic Conjurer or Thoughtsteal and use the combo against me.
Mage, they summon spell damage minions (Astromancer Solarian, Wand Thief, Firebrand, etc) and wait and attack until I summon an Convincing Infiltrator or Khartut Defender, then they use Devolving Missiles or Polymorph, and when I resurrect, I get only sheeps
I guess this deck worked two weeks ago when everything was warlock and rogue. Now then...
In 16 games I have only used Shadow Word: Ruin once or twice, Galakrond, the Unspeakable once. Most of the time those cards are in my hand doing nothing. Because there are many minions at the table or they all have attack less than 4.
When I use Soul Mirror I know that in the next resurrection I will get ...
This is the BEST deck I ever played in this meta, no doubts. Since the release of new ranking system in april I've tried many different decks, including some priest variations. But nothing even came close to this one - this version with slight changes (I'll write about them later) can defeat any other deck currently in the meta. Rogues with their ability to SMOrc your face (they are better than hunters with this) can be bit troubling, but if you survive to turn 5, you're golden. You can outlive kael'thas druids with board full of 10/10+ minions and outtank 6+ bombs vs bomb warriors with that deck, this is crazy :D Bonus points for playing priest - sometimes other players just concede at start xD
Currently I have "only" 56% WR, just because RNG can f***k you with card draw, and I'm still bad (plat1 right now). Yep, this deck is not for players that just started to play HS - requires extensive meta knowledge and 13k dust price is high. But if you can afford it and you are into 20+ min matches... Try it. You wont regret :)
My changes: - Breath, - Kaahrj, + Penance, + Reliquary of Souls
Why? I do not have Kaahrj, also additional healing sometimes (+ direct ST removal) is handy in specific matchups (rogues...) like someone wrote elsewhere here. Plus taunt with lifesteal is super good in lategame, esp. when you copy it a few times :D
I am having reasonably good results at Diamond with a similar deck: I have removed Galakrond, replacing him with the quest and replaced a Shadowy Figure with a Reliquary of Souls
Yep, deck is only for experienced players. I am at 60% win rate with this deck and I did make some changes cause there was a great need of removals for the first 4-5 turns. I took out one Psychopomp and mindflayer for 2 penance. The strength of a Rez Priest is it's res pool. When you mass rez or when catrina muerte summons a psychopomp..well you know the feeling. So one is enough. Soulmirror can be a polluter depending on what's on the board when you use it...bear that in mind. A good mulligan is key to success and that's where what v1ci0us said is true: having a good player experience and meta knowledge. Ex: I like to keep Shadow word ruin or mass dispel against libram paladin..works very well most of the time. Bear in mind that you need to heal frequently to reduce the cost of Flesh giant.
Here is an example of what this deck can do against the top tier deck. Was not a good match but it shows that this deck can come back from a tough situation.: https://hsreplay.net/replay/hZ755BvERkA4Cn5eQP5p65
How can I win against a Hunter who summons three 10/10 from his hand? How?
Priest is only good for high Legendary or Diamond, but not for scrubs like me; if experienced as I am
Deck is cool. But you are such a dickhead, the way you behave and BM.
I like the deck idea. Personally, I don't find it to be even remotely competitive in nature. Great idea though! Keep it up!
Honestly, you always want to keep Khartut Defender and Convincing Infiltrator. I often keep Psychopomp too. Rezing either one of these two cards has a huge win rate against aggro. Against rogue/hunter/dh, (almost guaranteed aggro), also aim to keep Penance and Holy Nova. But even then, I'd still keep the two taunts over these cards. If i get a Khartut rez chain going (Through Psychopomp, a turn 8 Psychopomp into Grave Rune, then Mass Rez, etc), its a guaranteed win. Aggro cannot sustain enough damage/card draw to deal with infinite Khartuts, or even Infiltrators. Against control/tempo or any non aggro, it becomes a value game. The mulligan has way less impact. Mulligan is only important against decks that want to eat your face by turn 6. Otherwise, this deck can outvalue pretty much any non-priest deck. Win rate against pure paladin is pretty consistent.
Thanks for wasting my dust in crafting all these bullshit cards
We've found the #DeletePriest player, who didn't even craft any of the cards and is just here to complain about Priest.
I don't feel this deck is THE deck. I mean you have:
- 0 one mana minions
- 1 two mana minion, which needs other deathrattles to set up, so no early game option.
- 1 three mana minion
- 3 four mana minions of which two you cannot play unless you have a dead minon, which is not likely the case with this few early game minions.
If you don't draw your early removals, you're done.
can u share mulligan?
it is as easy as any other mulligan, dont keep 4+ mana cards, depending on aggro heros like hunter/demon/rogue/paladin keep clears the rest mulligan for low mana cards
No, you will often keep Khartut or Inflitrator based on the matchup
exactly what v1ci0usss said
i dont haveSoul Mirror, its the only one i dont have and wanna try deck, how important is it, dont wanna craft.....any replacements....thanks
Soul Mirror is a double-edged sword in this deck. it can save your life or outright win u the game, but if used incorrectly, it can f up ur rez pool. More often than not, its your rez pool that nets u a win here. Mass Dispel may be a decent addition (a second one if u already have one)
