UPDATE 7/20 - Seeing much more aggro recently. Removed Twin Tyrant and added a 2nd Crystal Power. Allows for additional healing and removal!
Poim is back with the easiest legend of his life! This is now the 6th month in a row I've achieved legend. Need a brainless deck to hit legend? This is it! This type of deck has gone unnoticed for the last few weeks. After the recent nerfs, it has become strong again!
MULLIGAN IS THE HARDEST PART OF THIS DECK!
Mulligan Guide:
Generally, you are aiming to open with Strength in Numbers, Breath of Dreams, Overgrowth, Imprisoned Satyr, & occasionally a DRAGON if you already have Breath, ideally Emerald Explorer.
Against aggro you are probably keeping Wrath and Bogbeam, especially against early DH threats, Pirate Warrior, and any other smorc nonsense.
When you elect to toss or keep cards, think about your turns. For example, you are offered Breath of Dreams, Evasive Drakonid, and Overgrowth as your first three cards; you are probably keeping all three of them, even though Evasive Drakonid isn't in your mulligan guide. This forces an early ramp minion and compliments the Dragon effect of Breath of Dreams.
Against control you typically want to aggressively mulligan for ramp cards and the quest.
Substitutes- if you have a ton of aggro / hunters, you probably should tech in a Crystal Power
Missing the Prime or another big threat? Try adding Alexstrazsa and/or Twin Tyrant!
If you have any questions, feel free to ask them below and I will answer them to the best of my ability! It's a nice deck but it's far to reliant on the starting hand, so many games I've had to concede on turn 5 because I have no ramp or removal and they have full board, espically in this aggro meta this deck is just to slow. Might give it another go at some time.
I recently picked up the game again after a couple of years of inactivity.
This deck suits my preferred style of playing.
I have played it from angry chicken to Gold with a 69% winrate.
The only change I made is: -2 Winged Guardian, +2 Khartut Defender.
I initially made this change because I do not have Galakrond's Awakening but the extra HP has saved me many times from aggro decks.
Thank you Poimlok for this list!
I am looking forward to see how we can adjust this deck to the upcoming expansion!
Replacement for Winged Guardian??
Khartut Defender
Got legend with it starting from D5. Was actually stuck in D8 for some time had like 40 games 48% but later on had a lot of more success. Final stats are: 57% 89-68 worst win rate vs paladin , best vs warrior. Really fun deck to play.
First time in years that I had actually fun playing druid.
Great deck!
I don't get what the fuss is about. This deck destroys mages and priests if you just play around their removal cards properly.
Anyway, what are you thoughts about adding rising winds instead of twin tyrant? I feel the deck needs a lil more draw if your mulligan is bad.
Thanks for the deck! :D
Hunters is beat this deck((
I used this deck to get from D10 to D6 - at first I won every match except vs. warlocks. Now I have lost 10 of the last 11 matches. I felt the deck was working just fine, but if you are unlucky at can't do anything before turn 4 or 5 - you are screwed!
One question: Can it beat Priest?
Absolutely, my dude. Assuming you play around things correctly
I can appreciate you have success in legend but I’ve been playing this deck for a few hours and can’t even get successive wins in Silver (started ranked this season today - no, not a new player at all.)
honestly, I don’t get it. This deck gets walked over by almost any priest, Reno / Ascendant mage and Pirate warrior. How you got legendary with it is beyond me.
I’ve continued and it’s just lost to a few variations of Paladin including Libram paladin.
seriously. In silver, it can’t even win. This is hilarious and utterly ridiculous.
what does this deck win against consistently? Hahaha.
Completely luck based on Mulligan-ing a decent hand otherwise you’re completely outmatched. Stupid
Well, I said something like that before and the reply was "git gud" in different words. Also, VODs from his channel are propably deleted, cuz only one I was able to found were from d5 to legend - so dont bother trying to search for that (tried to find something on plat, but nope).
/facepalm
Strange how I've now had at least 7-8 people tell me they've hit legend with it and you can't get out of platinum....
Again, speaks to your skill overall as a player. You're looking at rank too much. You don't need platinum videos to learn how to get out of platinum, man. You need to sit there and willingly admit you are not a high tier player and know that there is always much to learn. I am not even a fantastic player and I learn new things and break bad habits every day. But you have to be willing to put in the time and study the game from various perspectives, classes, streams, hsreplay, and simply other players in order to succeed at a higher level, otherwise you will keep telling yourself that 'ITS NOT ME ITS THE DECK' and you will never get anywhere. Again, would love to help, but your salt on my post is frustrating =[
I dont need you to tell me that I'm not a good player, because I know this already. I just dont like when someone falsely advertise suboptimal deck as god-tier when you can play on autopilot "if you mulligan right", because right now, on average (and average players are overhelming majority in HS) you will lose more than gain with this deck.

(another site with stats - Big Druid isnt even presented here)
https://www.vicioussyndicate.com/vs-data-reaper-report-168/ - link to report from one of the biggest sites that report metas in HS
So thats it. You can call me whatever you want but ON AVERAGE (ye, caps intentional here) playing this deck will lead you to derank and losing stars. And thats what I said here from the beginning - you need perfect hand, otherwise you will lose around turn 7/8 to anykind of aggro/tempo, because you are so goddamn slow. Just be aware - I dont question your skill as a player, I just question usefulness of this deck to rank up.
PS: I always loved to learn from other so I ask you again - could you link your VODs when you play with this deck allway from bronze up to legend? I couldnt find anything, so... Either VODs are deleted by twitch (so there is 0 proof) and/or you streamed this from diamond5 just to showcase a new "braindead" deck.
I'm well aware of the WRs online dude. I use HSReplay every single day just like any other decent player lol
I hope you know I wasn't trying to be a jerk, but telling me this is false advertising is..... ignorant of you. You also understand that most players aren't playing Big Druid right now, or at least at the time I posted this list. If you want to think about it as far as statistics, the WR SHOULD be low considering how FEW skilled players are even touching this deck list dude. That was the entire POINT of me even posting this because hardly anyone even pilots the list lol
Now let me actually teach you how to use HSReplay because apparently you are also novice at that... https://hsreplay.net/decks/6AMHYPaKHiAH7Xg5WDwxUg/
this link here is to the original list! OMG! 56% WR?!?!?!?!?!?! CRAZY DUDE. somehow that's positive...
OH AND WAIT A SECOND! THE GRAPH! It shows a positive curve over the last several days of meta... is that... up to 60% positive WR?! That's... crazy!
Strange considering again, a bunch of people other than you having tons of success. lol. You didn't even click Big Druid and then click the most successful list within the title of Big Druid dude.... how you gonna try to link just basic 'at first-glance' info and call it support to your argument lol
My twitch vods only save for ten days, which at this point is far beyond when I was under Diamond 5... rofl.
I just want to state here that I'm not going to waste any more time arguing with a low skill player about Hearthstone WRs because he thinks HSReplay makes him knowledgeable....
good luck in your future endeavors. I wish you happiness in your life. I wish you the best of luck finding a deck that will cheat you out of your accurate rank!
This is such a goofy take considering how rng based this game is, theres no skill in having to wait till turn 7 to be able to even play a card. If you can't do anything then you can't do anything and with this deck you could potentially just have really unlucky rng every single game. It's great that a lot of people are getting lucky but telling people they're just bad at the game is silly.
Yep. This deck is so much rng dependent that is not worth wasting time with, but apparently I'm just bad at this game so I cannot discuss or argue :(
