Hearthpwn

After 20 games in the platinum ranks, I'm 50% win rate.  

Need to make some changes.  Facing a lot of other priest decks.  For example Cabal Shadow Priest is a card I need to get in this deck mainly due to Convincing Infiltrator that has Grave Rune cast on it.  I'm seeing this a lot right now.  

Also need to get a Mind Control in there since most games last past turn 10.  

Not sure what to take out though.

Edit:  nevermind.  I decided to just play my dragon hunter and I easily got to diamond rank in a couple hours.  This deck is too much work.  

gonna try this with soul mirror and skeletal dragon instead of both alextrazas

Great deck, went legend with it yesterday and still play it at 6500-7000 Legend. I switched out Frizz with Sethekk Veilweaver.

I have made this deck a couple months back, (literally 26/30 cards were identical) and it sounds great on paper, but in play not having the galakrond priest value and removal makes this deck fall way short. What is the point of the deck when the galakrond priest is half the cost and better in literally every single matchup. 
This deck just auto loses to Galakrond priest on top of that. Just check out NA Grandmasters and LanguageHacker trying to run Highlander Priest against a usual Galakrond priest from Nalguidan week 6. (He had no chance...) The only thing this deck is better at is the Fun you get out of it.

TL:DR This deck is just a more expensive yet worse version of Galakrond Priest.
Ive said the same thing about other decks trying to make Hal priest work. Stick to Galakrond, cheaper and way better.

Yeah you may be right but somehow I went 6-0 against standard gala priest with it so idk

It's a shame too, I really enjoyed using Highlander Priest back in the day, but then decks became more optimized and the value of the highlander cards fell short. Even other off-meta decks were beating it, and I had to go to regular Galak Priest to keep up. 

I wanted to get back to using Highlander Priest, have a little fun with the nostalgia, but this deck made me remember why I quit using it in the first place.

It's not like he could've wasted a lot of dust since there are no Priest legendaries besides Galakrond so. 

Never craft Hearthpwn decks, most of them are toxic. Really bad meme decks or worse...only build a hearthpwn deck if u have one of these two conditions - 
' 1 - Enough collection to build a deck without craft anything

2 - if the deck exist and has at least 49% winrate on hsreplay (wich is still dubious)
In other words, don't craft anything unless u know it's safe. Most of Hrtpwn samples are bullshit from those meme players and they do it anyway even if this will screw other players.

I'm a little surprised you're not running Madame Lazul, Reliquary of Souls, or other high-value legendaries, while also using cards like Dark Prophecy. Any reason for it?

I just feel like my deck already has enough value to beat control and dark prophecy is really good against aggro decks somehow. You could definately replace it with reliquary tho if you want. I‘m also not a big fan of lazul, one toughtsteel usually works

How do you think the Dragonqueen Alexstrasza nerf will affect the deck?

It will definately make it a little worse but I think the rogue and dh nerfs balance it a little bit. Same goes for hunter cuz they also use alex so it‘s basically the same matchup as before

Hunter will most likely be cutting DQA altogether and going for a card with an immediate board impact like King Krush himself.

Yeah definately a good card for the deck, but I didn‘t use it cuz I already use some high cost cards and I wanted to make it a bit better vs aggro. Same with soul mirror, I think it‘s just too slow. But looking at the stats I‘m 6-0 vs control priests that all use both of those cards. But 50% of the time I‘m getting murozond through invokes or galakrond anyway lol
