Hey guys, first time posting so bear with me.
just posting my big Druid deck and seeing if anyone has any worthwhile suggestions. Been using this deck since reset and absolutely loving it. I exclusively play off-meta stuff and this is my favorite so far! Strat is pretty simple, survive early and get big stuff out and overrun them. I don’t use a deck tracker or anything so I can’t tell you my win rates but I can tell you HSReplay doesn’t do big Druid decks justice IMO.
some explanations of cards I’ve decided to use.
albatross: everyone wants to run highlander right now so great tech card and people like to forget and waste their highlander card.
embiggen: just a great card once you’ve hit 6 mana. You already can’t play 2 6 mana cards so might as well make that 6 mana card into a 7 mana 6/10.
crystal power: the extra health is great for helping deny board clear or healing yourself once you’ve stabilized. The 2 dmg also does wonders against DH
evasive when: just a great card to stabilize and not super easy to clear.
marsh hydra: great card to refill your hand and also stabilize.
Only 1 satyr/ overgrowth: 2 of each is overkill and they become useless dead cards in mid/ late game.
mulligan:
DH - dig for breath, bees, and strength. Bees does wonders against DH and if I don’t get it early I have a hard time catching up. Without beast you also face a terrible time catching up.
Rogue - overgrowth/ breath/ albatross: the key here is to try and ramp as fast as possible. I found mulligan for albatross to work well because they’re all about drawing cards and if they galak into a 0 cost bird then awesome!
hunter - albatross, strength, bees, breath: Albatross is my top mulligan against hunter for 3 reasons. 1) it ruins their bran they probably mulliganed for. 2) if they run scavengers then they may pull a 3/3 bird. 3) they already rely almost exclusively on top decking.
shaman - any early game renewal: i don’t face many and when I do it seems to be the mutate shaman. So try and remove their baby minions and ask RNGesus to not bless them.
Paladin - Breath, overgrowth, satyr, strength: just ramp here. Pretty simple. You have to be weary of Libram of justice (?) and consecration though. So what their mana and their libram discount.
warlock - breath, overgrowth, strength, satyr, bees: just ramp fast and take them out. Pretty sure I’m 100% win rate here. They just can’t control a wide board of big minions. If you want to mulligan va a possible Druid then same as demon hunter.
mage - breath, strength, overgrowth, satyr: you always win this match up unless they get something stupid with a 0 mana box. Typically you win before they hit 10 mana though so no Reno.
priest - breath, strength, overgrowth, satyr, Ysera, alaextrassa: W/r is good here if you decide to suffer through a match. Unless I’m just watching a movie I normally just concede to save time. If you decide to play through then ramp and watch for soul mirror and the 8 mana copy card and plague. I keep alaextrassa to hit them fast and hard. I use it as soon as I can. I keep Ysera to reduce chance of thoughtsteal.
warrior - breath, strength, bees, bog beam: I try to play towards pirate here. Egg warrior I haven’t seen yet, but bomb warrior is just so slow and as long as you start her your boards HP has a hard time clearing.
If hand full of seven Mana cards happens that often, I would think the Overgrowth draw would be helpful so you can get to playing them quicker. Otherwise, it probably means you have too many cards that are that expensive. I'm definitely not an expert on Ramp Druid decks, but with how powerful Overgrowth is in the Spell Druid lists, I don't see any reason not to run two of them.
Yeah I’ve made some changes and one of them was remove satyr and replace with overgrowth. Definitely helps.
Are u really have success with this deck on D5? Cause I m tired of playing DH and right now I m not even winning with it... looking for a new deck to climb to legend.
I m missing some stuff here.. dunno if it worth it to craft :S
What rank are u right now with this?
Made it up to D3 2 stars before I went on a losing streak. I feel I could definitely make legend with it if I kept at it, but after using it from bronze I’m playing with other random stuff atm.
the deck is definitely not the best though and I wouldn’t go out of my way to craft stuff.
I also just really enjoy Druid so that’s part of the reason I started playing it. Right now playing quest Druid and this.
Isn't the point of some 2 of's (even if you only need one) to improve consistency of drawing them? You'd hope that by the time you draw the second one (in terms of ramp cards), you're far enough ahead that you can withstand a slower turn as you've gained your advantage already.
That is the point to help with the mulligan for have 2x some cards. The problem is run in to though is drawing an overgrowth if I only had something like 7 mana cards in my hand. More often then not I just felt it didn’t help.
D5 is different then Bronze-D6 though so I might start running a second to help with my mulligan.
