Intro:
Hey everyone! My name is Funki Monki and all I do is create meta breaking (hopefully) off meta decks! Today I bring to you a very unique Rogue deck that got me to legend. In fact, so unique that it DOESN'T use Galakrond ON PURPOSE! Crazy, right? This super aggressive deck was made after the most recent set of balance changes and underwent quite a few variations of Stealth Aggro. Ultimately I landed on this version which carried from Diamond 3 - Legend this season.
Here is my climb from Diamond 3 to Legend:
Strategy:
This is a very aggressive deck and are looking to close out games ASAP. On average you should win between turns 6-8. The first 1-5 turns is about board control. Sometimes it is best not to attack with your stealth minions right away and instead wait to use them to trade up into your opponents 2 or 3 cost minions.
Always prioritize minion damage/development over spells/weapons. Your stealth minions generally are weak and have low health so the sooner you can get them on the board and doing chip damage/trading the better.
Skydiving Instructor is actually pretty cool in this deck. Not only does it pull out your stealth minions to synergize with your other cards but it thins your deck. Thinning your deck is important because instead of top-decking that Worgen Infiltrator when you're looking for lethal you topdeck Eviscerate, thus making the deck more consistent in its job.
Mulligan:
Always Keep: Blazing Battlemage, Spymistress, Worgen Infiltrator, Skyvateer, Akama, Greyheart Sage
Sometimes Keep: Backstab (Vs. DH/Hunter/Rogue), Ashtongue Slayer (going first and have a turn 1 stealth), Edwin VanCleef (going second), Skydiving Instructor (going second and you have a turn 1 minion)
I hope you like this deck and, as always, if you have any questions or have a suggestion please comment below (I respond to all comments)!

Just opened Akama in a pack and deciding to make this deck. I am off to a great start at D5 - I can see myself climbing with this deck. Thanks for this. :)
Hey i am trying your deck and is really fun and unique , i am missing 2 cards tho Skyvateer and Skydiving Instructor , do you have any replacement suggestion it would be awesome , or i guess i will have to buy the adventure :P Thanks in advance.
so sad, both of them are the key cards, u need to save 1400 gold to get them, keep it up!
got them now , it feels so strong !!! keep it up as well.
Hey FunkiMonki, thanks for the deck.
I returned to HS in April after a 4 year break, and while I'm not that good i try to enjoy playing the game.
This deck and your videos on YouTube help me to do that, so thank you.
I really enjoy and prefer off meta style decks and plan on playing just rogue this month to ladder in standard.
I'm thinking this of playing this deck and a stealth malygos type deck, any chance of getting your thoughts on a possible deck list.
I don't have Kronx or Hanar (I don't want to play secrets) or anything Toggwaggle, and don't have the dust for them.
Thanks for what you bring to the HS community, keep up the good work.
Hey Funkimonki, I have a lot of trouble playing against Highlander Hunters. They take good control of my board with Explosive trap and snuff me out very quickly with their damage output, any tips?
I've been playing around with a variation on the default "Shadows of Shattrath" deck. I dropped one Hooked Scimitar as I prefer the Waggle Pick. Just been subbing different cards in and out like Faceless and Pharaoh Kitty.
Cool deck! but as someone who plays a galakrond stealth rogue deck, I've found Akama to be very underwhelming. It seems like he's in the deck just because he's a 3 mana stealth minion, but wouldn't Jungle panther just be better?
or is the 2 extra heath worth it because of cards like Explosive trap, Holy nova, and flame ward?
I feel like shuffling a card in that is 5 mana do nothing, would be counter intuitive for an aggro deck as well.
Thank you! :)
Yep, that's just it! His 4 health makes him very sticky and guaranteed to stick around for a turn to combo with Cold Blood, Greyheart Sage, Ashtongue Slayer, etc. Because this deck is so aggressive most times you won't even get the chance to see Akama Prime. You play Akama on turn 3 ideally, even if he dies on turn 4 you're not very likely to draw it in the next 3 turns that the game is decided in. If the game does go on longer past turn 7 chances are you're playing against a slower deck like Priest and having the Akama Prime can actually be very useful. He feels worse in the Galakrond version because on average games are much longer so you'll see him more often, and there's more expensive cards in that deck making him feel 'clunky' overall.
I've been playing a bunch of Stealth Gala Rogue with Akama and he doens't feel clunky for me tbh, i love to throw HP (to avoid AoE) or Rush lackey on akama prime.
Anyway, you made a sweet deck Funkimonki , grats on the legend and keep up the good work!
loved this deck so much, but still cant argue that will be hard match against druid :', its ok cause rogue still dont have enough good area spell except from stealing other ! haha good job!
Thank you, I'm glad you like it! Yeah, Druid is a tough matchup. You have to try and burst them down very fast because if they get to turn 7/8+ then they can usually stabilize with taunts and heals.
I can tell you for a fact this deck did not make it to legend. As a player who has made it to legend and knows the meta very well, its clear that this deck has more bad match-ups than good, and unless you draw on a perfect curve you will get obliterated by both control and aggro decks. He obviously put rank 3 - legend on purpose just to get this deck noticed, but it certainly won't hold up agains the current meta that's for sure.
I was first comment. I got to legend with this deck and continued to win at a 70% win rate even in legend before the reset. Posted proof with that comment. Are you playing the deck correctly?
Did you even read the deck guide? My proof of my climb is right at the top of the page lol. I can provide more pics/screenshots if you want but figure that would be excessive. That's cool that you got to legend before but so have 15,000+ other people just last month alone in NA so please don't go assuming you know more than everybody else.
I just devastated a face hunter with this deck. Extremely satisfying!
hahah nice!!!! Always feel good to out face a face hunter :)
Lol so mad.
Why u post 4 hours ago and edit 3 hours later. Nobody really cares to take your negativity seriously. Lol so mad.
The stealth package is pretty hard to change up, same reason why every Galakrond deck looks similar. My deck is 1/3 different from that deck recipe tho. A lot of the cards I put in this deck are very specific to the current meta
