Intro:
Hey everyone! My name is Funki Monki and all I do is create meta breaking (hopefully) off meta decks! Today I'm bringing you a community favorite - Libram Paladin! I've seen this deck being played in so many different ways, but nothing seems to be working for people so I went back to the drawing board and refined and refined the archetype until I ended up with this list! This list has brought me to Diamond 6 with a 62% WR (and then I started meme-ing with other decks).
Proof:
A few points I wanted to mention while building/playing this archetype:
- going Pure Paladin is not good simply because you lose out on too many good neutrals like Wild Pyromancer, Acidic Swamp Ooze, Novice Engineer and your win conditions of Exotic Mountseller and Replicat-o-tron. Pure Paladin doesn't have enough win conditions without these.
- Cycling cards are crucial, like Novice Engineer, Hand of A'dal, Call to Adventure. Because this deck is very combo oriented (need to draw BOTH your librams AND your discounters, your board clears are 2+ card combos of Libram of Justice and Consecration/Wild Pyromancer) you need to be able to draw your combo pieces.
- This deck has insane late game value with Librams so lots of healing is a must. In here we have the Wild Pyromancer + Lightforged Blessing combo.
- Be VERY sparing with your board clears and only use them when absolutely necessary. There is TONS of healing in this deck so take a few hits to the face and make your opponent over commit. Your hard board clear of Libram of Justice + Wild Pyromancer or Consecration is hard to come by and probably won't draw that 2 card combo again for awhile.
Mulligan:
Always Keep - Aldor Attendant, Hand of A'dal, Libram of Wisdom, Novice Engineer, Wild Pyromancer, Bronze Explorer, Call to Adventure
Sometimes Keep - Acidic Swamp Ooze (against DH, Hunter, Warrior, Rogue), Lightforged Blessing (against DH, Hunter, Warrior), Consecration (against DH)
I hope you like this deck and, as always, if you have any questions or have a suggestion please comment below (I respond to all comments)!

U mean like... turn 5? 4/7 body that ressumons himself?being too slow in a midrange deck?
That guy is way too slow in this meta. By the time you can get him out and buffed up you're pretty much dead.
Weak predictable build.Pure pally variations ( with librams,1hp pure,1hp with librams) took me to legend last month, and is so much more consistent. For example .. until i read meta reports i really thought some cards gonna be nerfed .. as winrate for a 4/2 weapon on a 4/2 body was almost all the time game winning. Ofcourse.. vs DH mulligan for consacration was crucial.Anyway .. i m shocked u dont see the obvious in a normal libram pally , with that guy that gets ressumoned if he has 4 or more health. And a few more options are here if u want them ... exploring adventurer and the new 1/2 miniom that summons a copy at the end of turn .
Oh well..Im out
4 attack,not 4 health.my bad
I'm having problems against Priest with this deck. Especially with Convincing Infiltrator, Khartut Defender, Catrina Muerte and Mass Resurrection.

I am probably doing something wrong, just got back into the game.
what about Murgur Murgurgle
He's not bad, but not really needed either. For late game pressure we already have Replicat-o-tron, Exotic Mountseller, Libram of Hope, etc. If you want to replace anything for Murgur Murgurgle I would replace 1 Replicat-o-tron or Exotic Mountseller
Thanks bro, also your vids are great btw.
This deck is fucking cancer. Again, blizzard somehow manages to fuck up or is it intentional at this point?
"Cancer"? Are you kidding me, lol.
Paladin has second worst winrate. So if you think this is cancer then you should uninstall hearthstone
Breaks my heart to say it, but unfortunately this deck is hot garbage in diamond 5 and up. This meta mandates speed, and this deck (even after the buff for aldor attendent coming tomorrow) is INCREDIBLY mulligan/top deck dependent to even maintain footing. It's slow as molasses and that inevitably leads to nearly every loss I've had with it (25 games and counting, 9-16 W-L)
Please continue to tweak and refine, however, because the core is essentially pretty good and the late game can steamroll IF you make it there. The eggregious absence of early game board presence and/or reactive tools leaves you smiling through several hundred DH/Rogue face hits as you *hope* to hit turn 4+ with some janky wild pyromancer combo.
Possible recommendations for improvement:
-Replicatotron is basically useless until late game.. I love the meme dream, and I personally love to chase this dragon myself, but in this deck like so many of my own trials it falls incredibly short and is left limp in the hand. Could this be swapped for say... an unconfident orc x 2?
- Call To Adventure (x1) seems to be more draw filler than anything else, and it's an awkward investment at 3 mana with no board presence. Would Bloodmage thalnos (buffs consecration, draw, earlier body, lower cost) be a possible replacement?
I've really wanted to make Librams word at D5-> legend, and I agree that it has fringe potential if done correctly. Great initial start though, will be following this to see if we can get it over the ladder meta hump as a community *fingers crossed*
Yeah, upon further review (after watching your videos 1+2) I see that this is more of a joke deck than anything that is actually ladder friendly. Should've done my research prior. Oh well GLHF.
Just a one moment about Call to Adventure: it’s draw Aldor Attendant that cost now 1 mana crystal.
yeah not having acolyte of pain hurts a lot.
No offense, but I highly disagree with you and here's why:
Firstly, I have experience playing many different kinds of LIbram Paladin decks over 60+ games. After the new update I took this deck to Diamond 3 (1 win away from Diamond 2) with an 8-2 win rate.
Secondly, you mention that it gets steamrolled by aggressive decks like Rogue....but Rogue isn't an aggressive deck, its a midrange deck which makes me think you are exaggerating your claim. In fact, there is only a single deck in the meta that can kill you by turn 4 and thats Tempo DH if they get the absolute perfect draws and you don't do anything for 4 turns. Out of all my games the soonest I have ever died was turn 5 and that was with a terrible draw (which happens in card games) against Hunter. Since the new update, the meta has slowed down considerably as well which only makes this deck better.
I agree that draw is necessary which is why there are 5 card draws (2 Novice Engineer, 2 Hand of A'dal, 1 Call to Adventure) or more with Lady Liadrin. Anymore card draw and you start taking out win-cons and removal.
Replicat-o-tron is actually very good in this deck! If you have a token on the board, its a 4 mana 6/6 worth of stats which is great tempo. If one of them sticks on the board you can severely punish your opponent. If you put any sort of buffs like Libram of Wisdom, Hand of A'dal on it combined with Lightforged Blessing its game over against a lot of decks. It also acts as a way to multiply your Libram of Wisdom to take advantage of other card effects like Exotic Mountseller or Wild Pyromancer if you don't draw your Lady Liadrin. Best advice for you is to not wait for the perfect card to combo with it. There are times that I'll play it as a 4 mana 3/3 just to soak up 3 damage so I can last until my mid-late game heals and stabilize.
Call to Adventure is great now because it guarantees you draw your Aldor Attendant. Because this entire deck is focused around Librams this just makes sense. You cycle AND reduce your Librams which can be the difference of a turn 6 Libram of Hope or a turn 7 Libram of Hope.
The only card that I believe has some wiggle room in this deck is the Acidic Swamp Ooze if you're not facing a lot of weapons and maybe 1 Exotic Mountseller.
After all this text I want to say I appreciate the constructive criticism of the deck! I hope some of these answers clarified my reasoning behind these cards. If you're still struggling with the deck but are having fun with it, feel free to link a replay or two of your games and I can help ya out!
U probably suck bro, i just got to rank 1 with it from rank 4 yesterday with quite ease. I dont know my win ratio coz i play mostly on mobile at work.
Ty for a Deck... is best deck, too much fun for me....cheep and strong....vs all clases.
You're welcome! glad you're having fun with it :)
