I Finally made a shaman deck i could hit legend with in this meta, which as all of you probably know already is not easy. I have tried all other types of shaman decks and found all to have too many holes to be reliable.
This deck is pretty well balanced and with good early draw can beat just about any deck (though i do find thief priest and rogue to be the toughest match up). Please try an let me know how it works for you guys thanks.
Mulligans
vs aggro hold any of these cards Sludge Slurper,Invocation of Frost,Hagatha's Scheme,Devoted Maniac and Serpentshrine Portal. Totemic Reflection is also a possible hold depending on if you have coin.
vs control (basically any Priest deck) hold Sludge Slurper, Totemic Reflection, EVIL Totem, Hagatha's Scheme, Marshspawn, Hex, The Fist of Ra-den, Plague of Murlocs, and Devoted Maniac
If you are having problems with wide boards you may want to consider replacing 1 Totemic Reflection for a Hagatha's Scheme. If any would like to give some input to what is better please do. I am still experimenting with it.
The problem with the quest is it hurts your early game by making mulligans less effective. It only allows you to be able to flip 2 or 3 cards instead of 3 or 4 cards. That makes a huge difference in getting the cards you need to compete with hunter or demon hunter in the early game.. and we know what happens if you only draw high cost mana cards in the first few rounds..game over usually. So I would not recommend it.
As far as a second Hagatha's Scheme that could help but because of demon hunter running the meta right now I think some of the other 1 and 2 cost cards are more important to have in your opening hand. But It's still a strong card change consideration.
I would not remove EVIL Totem the value it generates with Totemic Reflection is too good and can be a game changer late. Good luck
have you thought about Vargoth?
Im not sure how Archmage Vargoth would help, most shaman spells repeating would hurt more than help.

Yoooooooo
Thanks for the deck. Getting back my Shaman love with this!
I like how this deck can clearly snowball in someones face. For now I am in Platinum (getting back from Diamond 5 previous month), on a 16-7. 4 of those losses were againt DH's and the other 3 against Rogues. Still figuring out how to battle DH correctly, but I probably have to accept the fact that if they draw perfectly, I lose.
Although having Mana Tide Totem, I do have some draw problems from time to time.
Glad your doing well with the deck. I know it's difficult to play Totemic Reflection on Mana Tide Totem without losing tempo and getting a beat down by aggro decks, but it's shaman's best option for multi card draw right now. Shaman has always been weak at card draw and it probably always will be.
I gotta disagree. Shaman had really strong card draw with Spirit of the Frog last year.
It was good but not so much for control decks. Either way it's unfortunately gone now.
Small update. 28-16 now. 64% winrate and still having a blast.
No expects a Shaman, no one expects a Gala Shaman. Lovely responds I received. A DH even whispered to me: "WTH happened, I had the perfect hand". So thanks for that, credits to you!
I did switch 1 Totemic Reflection for a Frost Shock, the additional freeze helps a lot against the 43% DH's I get as enemies. But I problably switch it around some more if I encounter more different opponents.
My true hard counter seems to be a Face Hunter. Just nothing I can do. Too much direct unavoidable dmg. No time for me to set up a weapon or trade with the Invoke minions (with the damn Hunter secrets). For now I am 1-5 against them.
Have you considered running Hoard Pillager + maybe a Cobalt Spellkin? Seems like you could do some fun Reliquary of Souls stuff with it (since it's the only 1 mana legendary minion in the game atm)
Cobalt Spellkin could be a possibility but not both. Putting both cards would basically create a new deck and i think it would be a worse one at that. What card to switch out would be tough but it would probably be one of the Hex cards or Totemic Reflection.
Man Drexler, I have to say so far, I'm freaking loving your deck! (I made an account just to tell you this) This is honestly amazing man! Thank you so much for sharing. So far I'm 6/1 vs DH. (I haven't even SEEN Lurker out of all of my games so far XD ) I've always loved shaman and It sucked at how in this exp they weren't that great. Seriously man.. Ever since DH came out I've been getting shit on by them and I didn't want to play rogue because I always hated that class. So again... I thank you for making a deck like this. Keep up the fantastic work!
Your welcome! I'm glad your having success with the deck. I too basically only play shaman which is why I made it after only getting rolled with other shaman varieties. Good luck hope you hit legend with it.
To my experience priests are just fine but i found problematic the new highlander stealth rogue, i won only 2 out of 10 matches against this rogue.
Plague of Murlocs is a very underrated card and when used in conjunction with most any invoke cards is a pretty good counter to stealthed minions or any overly buffed spell resistant minion. Good synergy with The Lurker Below for a board clear if you have 9 mana to spend.
Any replacement for The Lurker Below?
The Lurker Below is pretty good vs DH but if I had to replace it, it would be with another Earthquake or Lightning Storm.
You can try Waste Warden for same-type AOE
