I've managed to climb quite fairly with this deck.
But I think Frenzied Felwing could be replaced, as it was more than once a dead card in my hand.
Also it doesn't pair too well with Expired Merchant and Nightshade Matron IMO.

What do you think it could be replaced with ?

Version of this deck with Bluegill Warrior, Wolfrider and Abusive Sergeant instead of Frenzied Felwing, Argent Squire and Guardian Augmerchant and either one Voidwalker or Zephrys the Great is strong (and would be less dust). Just made Diamond with it successfully racing DH for damage without drawing Imprisoned Scrap Imp.

I've fallen in love with Zoo this season.

I've been playing a similar version with more charge minions & raw face damage. Climbing is a lot faster and you only really lose against your bad matchups (eg. Warrior, Priest w/ 3 Holy Novas & lifesteal BS, poor mulligan). Plus you can outrace the face hunters and sometimes ignore your opponent's minions to setup a nice lethal from hand.

In (best to worst) :

• +2 Bluegill Warrior : charge, cheap minion, can also serve as a rush when you don't have the carpet
• +2 Wolfrider : buffing this with the imp is insane (5 damage from hand!)
• +2 Abusive Sergeant : 1-drop, classic zoo support, helps with trades / lethal from hand
• +2 Leper Gnome : 1-drop that also helps get that extra damage against the harder matchups

Out (worst to best) :

• -2 Flame Imp : the face damage hurts too much against close matchups
• -2 Frenzied Felwing : too slow for my taste, charge is nicer
• -1 Guardian Augmerchant : same as above, need to make room for the sergeant
• -1 Zephrys the Great : this list wants the game to end by turn 6-7 where he's very rarely active
• -2 Argent Squire : divine shield is nice, but once again, face is better

i think Summoning Portal is great addition !

well, not really.

this deck may seem good for ''budget'' reasons only maybe, but it is actually working wonders against high cost decks as well.

so, no replacements from other cards in my opinion.

So far from Platinum 5 to Diamond 4, lost 2-3 times in the whole run and used Zephrys probably twice to win the game. Would recommend owl or some removal if you dont have him.Unfortunately didn't have the tracker on :/

I don't have Zephrys, but I do have Kanrethad Ebonlocke, is that a good substitute?

I would like to reply once again for everyone who reads this thread.

Kanrethad might seem like a good substitute but, it will affect the carpet + 1 cost demons synergy.

So, If you wish to play Kanrethad instead of Zephyrs, you might look for few other options to add instead of 1 cost demons.

0-4 taunt might be a good option.

If you do not have Zephyrys, you might go for essentials such as weapon removal or silence.

so a hoothoot or an abusive oose might do for you.

Karethad does work for the deck though and it has some late game application. Just plan your turn accordingly. I use him when I don't have carpet in hand or on the board to flood early, especially if I've already ISId.
