Deck Overview: 60-75% Win Rate Overall
This deck is NOT a OTK Boar deck! This is a tempo deck at its core, your goal is to hit the early Scavenger’s Ingenuity, and then play tempo controlling the game while dealing damage with Hero Power, Spells and Weapons. If you have a 1/1 boar in hand, make sure to play him first before copying your buffed board. The main reason this deck is different is because this deck plays Stonetusk Boar for tempo rather than only as a OTK. In general, getting down a 1 mana 7/7 applies so much pressure that you win the majority of the time within a turn or 2. Your worst match-ups are Res Priest and Taunt Druid.
Mulligan Guide:
In almost every match-up you are looking for Scavenger’s Ingenuity early, that is the most important!
Always Keep: Scavenger’s Ingenuity (Highest Winrate), Dwarven Sharpshooter
Sometimes Keep: Tracking (Play turn 1 to find Scavenger’s), Explosive Trap (Against Aggro), Ramkahen Wildtamer & Scrap Shot (If you have Scavenger’s Ingenuity), Faerie Dragon (If no other early drops)
Play Guide:
As I said at the start, this is meant to be a tempo deck. Do not be afraid to play a 1 mana 4/4 on turn 3 or 1 mana 7/7 later in the game. If you can copy it, then it is almost always the right play to get 1 of your huge boars down in order to push pressure. If a res priest gets taunts down early, or if a big druid gets down a big taunt, it is most likely gg, but against any other deck you always have a chance.
The keys are getting early damage through with just consistent pressure. You do this with early drops like Faerie Dragon, Stormhammer, Corrosive Breath for clear, etc… Most games your opponent's health will be in the teens by turn 4 or 5. This allows you to play tempo boars to push damage, and usually you set up lethal the turn after playing your boars. Obviously there are a ton of situations where you play boar with a spell for the OTK, but this deck is not just an OTK deck.
One of the most important tips is to work on only buffing 1 boar… If you have 1/1 boar and a 4/4 boar in hand. Make sure you play the 1/1 boar before buffing or copying, your goal is to make the biggest boars possible.
Results: This is at Legend Rank: I started 2-2 because the deck took some learning, but after that I went 13-7. I think when piloted correctly, this deck counters the meta very well and should have a solid 65% Win Rate.
i lack dragon bane what could I possibly replace him with?
running animal companion rn
That seems like a fine replacement honestly.
Animal Companion is fine but I'd consider an extra dragon (Evasive Feywing mostly) which is in the same cost slot and will help with Scalerider / Rotnest activations (and Stormhammer too)
However consider that Dragonbane is an absolutely good and safe craft if you're playing a lot of Hunter, it fits in basically every archetype from Face to Dragon to Highlander. Card can straight up win you the game with a single activation, especially if dropped on an empty board on turn 6 or with a single mid-sized minion, and will definitely win you the game if not responded immediately. It's basically a midgame-Ragnaros.
Aight thanx!
Thanx man!
Just wanted to drop a comment to say how good this deck is.
I've been trying myself to make a Dragon / Boar combo hybrid for a while, but couldn't find the right balance. I'd never have cut 1 Stormhammer and put Arcane Shots in there lol, but it actually works very well! Those Arcane Shots are saving my ass more often than I thought.
This one's perfect, and it's performing. It's also not as easy to pilot as it may seem. Both in when to start to go face, and Tracking often present you with hard decisions. It's also really fun that sometimes you draw combo-heavy hands and can go for a near OTK. Or viceversa, you can draw Dragon-heavy ones and it feels just as good ol' Dragon Hunter. Also had some games where the "Dragon" part of the plan failed and switched to plan B combo and it worked lol.
Amazing list, good job

Awesome deck.
So just tried this Deck and reached Legend for the first time. Started at Diamond 5 with 0 Stars and went 20-4.
Reached Legend with this deck! It's so great killing a Priest making him 24 damage in one turn LOL
So does this just lose to DH 100% of the time, or...?
No... It has a 52% WR against Demon hunter. Just mull for early clears and Scavenger's.
Playing the same Deck about 120 games i have something bout 54%. I cut one Scalerider for Maiev Shadowsong. it saved me some games so i could play around some Priest or Druids Taunts, cause we have no silence exept owl in meta.
Nice deck, I went up against rez priest and at round 9 I dealt 31 dmg to him with 2 boars and 2 kill command and 1 arcane shot (I'm lucky to have kept my coin) 1 taunt druid that got f**king lucky had 6 hp left and at round 7 started doing his ghey thing. But other than that it's really strong, sometimes you have a sh*tty hand and bad draws but that's life lol
Thank you guys for the support on my decks so far! I have a new deck here from one of my Twitch viewers that surprised me a bit with it's success. Check out the deck and let me know how it goes for you:
Amazing, Decent Decks!
