Disclaimers:

1. This archetype was not created by me, I got the deck shell from brazillian pro player Neves. The list was recomended by my friend and streamer Carvalho, so I gotta thank him as well.

2. I used this deck from Bronze 8 (or something) to Diamond 1, 2 stars. And then I lost some games and switched to Druid to get Legend. I've not played much since then but this list still seems strong to me from the little i've played with it on Legend.

Playstyle:

This deck plays out as typical midrange hunter, using some broken dragon-related cards as ScaleriderRotnest Drake and using your Scavenger's Ingenuity to find Zixor, Apex Predator and Zixor Prime. Sometimes you'll aggro your oponent with Scavenger's Ingenuity into Zixor, Apex PredatorCorrosive BreathFaerie DragonStormhammer and maybe even Scalerider in the face. Other times you'll play more like a control deck using your removals effectively and favorably trading with your creatures to win out later with Zixor Prime buffed or hiting face with your big dragons. The deck gives you a lot of options, although not being so hard to play and master.

Tips:

This deck has a really high potential to kill at turn 6-8.

Coin out things when you're trying to aggro your oponent.

Hardly ever keep more than one cost 1 card.

Never keep more than one cost 2 card if you don't have the coin.

Play on curve when possible, but don't restrict yourself too much.

Scavenger's IngenuityZixor, Apex Predator is really OP to aggro (don't play this only as a way to clear threats), and Scavenger's IngenuityZixor Prime sometimes will insta win you some matches.

Maiev Shadowsong is a tricky card, if used correctly it will win you a lot of games.

Veranus reducing the life of only 1 or 2 minions is not that bad.

Matchups:

Mage:

I consider Mage to be a bit of a hard matchup for this deck (45% WR) since it has many ways to deal with our stuff early and scales well into the late game. The best way to deal with mages is usually to play an early bufeed Zixor, Apex Predator and go full aggro style on them with our other early game cards.

Great Cards to Have in the Opening Hand:

Dwarven Sharpshooter, Tracking,Faerie DragonScavenger's IngenuityAnimal Companion.

Paladin:

The most popular paladin deck nowadays (Pure Paladin) is strong against aggo-midrange strategies in general, but i feel like it's easy to aggro them out, leaving us with a prety nice 50% WR. Try to play as agressive as possible, considering his removals (ConsecrationTruesilver Champion, etc).

Great Cards to Have in the Opening Hand:

Dwarven Sharpshooter, Tracking,Corrosive BreathScavenger's IngenuityAnimal Companion, Scalerider.

Warlock:

Galakrond Lock is a tricky deck to play against and probably the worst matchup tied with Galakrond Rogue, witch I'll talk about later. If you play correctly and draw good enough it should be fine, but in general it's something around 40% WR. Try to play around his removals but don't play too slow or you'll lose your momentum. Experience in this match will reward you and give you the ability to percieve when it's fine to take risk.

Great Cards to Have in the Opening Hand:

Dwarven Sharpshooter, Tracking,Faerie DragonScavenger's IngenuityAnimal Companion, Dragonbane.

Hunter:

I did very well against most of the hunters I've played, I feel like this version is just perfect in dealing with threats as well as applying pressure when in the advantage. I would like to say that the matchup against Highlander Hunter and Beast Hunter is 70% WR for us, but I'll be conservative and say that it oscillates around 60 to 65% WR.

Great Cards to Have in the Opening Hand:

Dwarven Sharpshooter, Corrosive BreathScavenger's Ingenuity, Faerie DragonAnimal Companion, Scalerider Stormhammer.

Warrior:

Does this class even exist nowadays? lol. Joking aside, I'm feeling really good playing against this class and I garantee you that if you are playing correctly you should have at least 65% WR against Aggro Warrior and other variants.

Great Cards to Have in the Opening Hand:

Dwarven Sharpshooter, Corrosive BreathScavenger's IngenuityAnimal Companion, Scalerider, Stormhammer.

Rogue:

I should say that I may be playing wrond against Galakrond Rogue, but I'm feeling really bad in this matchup and would say that we have about only 40 to 45% WR against it. If you can be fast enough with a good hand it should be fine, but once Galakrond enters the battlefield it will be really hard to get back to the game. It's also dificult for us to deal with the lots of threats generated by her Lackeys and Galakrond invocations.

Great Cards to Have in the Opening Hand:

Dwarven Sharpshooter, Corrosive Breath, Faerie Dragon, Scavenger's IngenuityAnimal Companion, Scalerider.

Druid:

It's fun to talk about the matchups against this class because I feel like they should be hard for us but they actually aren't. Token Druid sometimes feel too slow, so if you play around his buffs and Savage Roar you can kill him really fast (60% WR). Agains Ramp Druid all you'll need to do is beat the sh*t out of him before anything happens, Maiev Shadowsong and Rotnest Drake will really help you out with closing games (55 - 60% WR).

Great Cards to Have in the Opening Hand:

Dwarven Sharpshooter, Tracking, Faerie DragonScavenger's IngenuityAnimal Companion, Scalerider.

Shaman:

I'm not playing against that many shamans in the last matches. I feel like it's a good matchup but we don't have a specific shaman deck for our analysis to relly on. Due to the class seeming to be weak and we having a good matchup against midrange i feel like we have around 55-65% WR.

Great Cards to Have in the Opening Hand:

Dwarven Sharpshooter, Tracking, Faerie Dragon, Corrosive Breath, Scavenger's IngenuityAnimal Companion, Stormhammer.

Priest:

Ressurect Priest feel really scary at first, it heals, removes (sometimes), plays taunts and may mess up with our Zixor, Apex Predator. But the lack of early game plays in the deck makes it really dificult to deal with our ealy threats. So if you play around his answers and curve out good enough you should win about 60% of the games.

Great Cards to Have in the Opening Hand:

Dwarven Sharpshooter, Tracking, Faerie DragonScavenger's IngenuityAnimal Companion, Primordial Explorer.

Demon Hunter:

Finally the talk in the town: DH. In the first day of the expansion I felt really weak angainst it and got mad all the time. After the nerfs and me figuring out how to play against it, i feel now that we have around 50-55% WR against most of the strategies. Try to trade favorably and keep you removals (Corrosive Breath, Rotnest Drake ) to his important threats (BattlefiendSatyr OverseerPriestess of Fury.

Great Cards to Have in the Opening Hand:

Dwarven Sharpshooter, Corrosive BreathScavenger's IngenuityAnimal Companion, Scalerider.
