May Season Update:
Despite the Bad Luck Albatross and Altruis the Outcast nerfs, the deck, with some changes, was still decent enough to take me reasonably comfortably to Legend within a day. The win-rate has dropped a bit and is now hovering in the low 70s.
Games consisted of mostly quest Mage (still strong, but thankfully a bit slower), a nasty discard Warlock deck and pirate and armor Warrior antics.
April Season:
Despite the quick nerfs to Demon Hunter, I had good results with this Baku version, scoring close to 80% on Legend rank.
Mulligan is pretty straightforward, with many 1-drops to get the momentum going. Glacial Shard works well freezing your opponent or his minions in mirror matches. Consider keeping Bad Luck Albatross in your hand against Warlock, Priest and Mage in case of Reno. A final clever tech is the addition of Cobalt Spellkin. Currently DH only has two 1-mana cost cards; Mana Burn and Consume Magic, the latter of which makes quick work of taunt minions (or cycles).
Good luck grinding to a 1000 wins!
Update 14/04: After the umpteenth Mage broke my 10 game win streak, I wanted to post the latest results.
A good number of games later the win rate has not changed much. Statistically, odd-Paladin has proven most difficult, but the vast majority of "experiences" involve Mage. I've ran the same list and feel quite happy about it. The only cards up for debate are the pirates, as drawing Patches the Pirate before the others feels frustrating.
How do you do it, honestly. I’ve tried this and so many other things, and it’s just amazing how bad my luck is. You guys should watch me, it’s like some kind of vendetta against me. Im not kidding. Things will be going well (and by that I mean, MAYBE 3 wins in a row) then I hit a bad stretch....every day this happens...where I’m left just shaking my head after multiple games in a row due to witnessing such amazing luck for my opponent. It’s crazy.
thanks for letting me vent. It’s just incredible.
Which varation made you on your decklist?
Maybe, just maybe you don't play the deck right and are just not as good at the game as you think you are?

I feel you, took just over a 100 matches to get from D5 to legend. I found that I got some easy wins on the mirrors, which there were alot of, with the majority of people still getting familiar with the deck. Glacial shard on turn 5 can absolutely turn things around.
Took out the Pirates for a Hench Thug, Metamorphosis and the Horror Dog thing
10 games:
Control lock: win
Hunter with charge boars: never did anything to stop his control and being rushed by 6/6 boars loss
Galakrond quest Warrior: lol not even a game... nothing you can do
Waygate mage: Lucky win
Quest Jade shaman: no turn one drop nightmarish curve of deck is giving fits, squeaky win
Quest Reno Shaman: again no one drop and crap hand, 6th game in a row i go second... Reno but i still manage win casting 6 manaburns helped
Retard Hunter: autoloss, went second again, no turn 1 drop...
Dragon Priest: going second again, win thx to manaburn
Awaken Priest: again second , turn 6 win between silence and freeze/mana burn that went very good win
Priest: and again second, noticing a trend/bug, consecutive manaburn followed by loatheb kill him
So 7 out of 10, which is better than i thought it would do at gold 7 now

Changes i will test: 1 Tar Creeper out and some weapon kill in gives me some armour as well.
I managed to get to legend today with my own version of control Mecha'thun warlock deck while destroying odd DHs and mages. This will get nerfed soon but You might want to check it out:

Is the pirate package worth it? i am thinking about replacing it with fire flies, add more fuel, harder to remove
I think it is underestimated
very good deck hit legend with this yesterday;]
Happy to hear!
I was using this list to hit legend within an evening!
Faced dh with your list and crushed them
most players play it wrong imo; they waste their coin or trade without using their face

very good bild, thanks
Thanks for the deck. Took me D4 to legend (first time).
From Platin 10 to Diamond 5 with 2 loses.
On Diamond 5 15 Games lost! Wtf?!?!
Yea, lots of secret mage or big decks with massive recovery. What class do you have most problem with in Diamond 5?
really, all:
i win no game, the murloc pala spawn consistent 7 op murlocks on turn 4.
The quest mage with the big boys, the warlock spawn some big boys with spot or he gives them.
@Baldanders19: When you have a Mage or Warlock as opponent, mulligan first for Bad Luck Albatross (because of Reno / Zephrys). During game try to play Cobalt Spellkin and keep all (1) mana spells until the following scenarios occur:
Questmage with 5/6 or 6/6 quest -> block him (depend on his available mana) either with several Mana Burn or Loatheb, if you can kill him in your next turn.
Warlock: Keep Consume Magic and silence the Voidcaller / Voidlord. Go face.
On this deck I got a lose streak from 2 diamond to 5 diamond. I came across only quest mage and minion paladins.
