May Season Update:
Despite the Bad Luck Albatross and Altruis the Outcast nerfs, the deck, with some changes, was still decent enough to take me reasonably comfortably to Legend within a day. The win-rate has dropped a bit and is now hovering in the low 70s.
Games consisted of mostly quest Mage (still strong, but thankfully a bit slower), a nasty discard Warlock deck and pirate and armor Warrior antics.
April Season:
Despite the quick nerfs to Demon Hunter, I had good results with this Baku version, scoring close to 80% on Legend rank.
Mulligan is pretty straightforward, with many 1-drops to get the momentum going. Glacial Shard works well freezing your opponent or his minions in mirror matches. Consider keeping Bad Luck Albatross in your hand against Warlock, Priest and Mage in case of Reno. A final clever tech is the addition of Cobalt Spellkin. Currently DH only has two 1-mana cost cards; Mana Burn and Consume Magic, the latter of which makes quick work of taunt minions (or cycles).
Good luck grinding to a 1000 wins!
Update 14/04: After the umpteenth Mage broke my 10 game win streak, I wanted to post the latest results.
A good number of games later the win rate has not changed much. Statistically, odd-Paladin has proven most difficult, but the vast majority of "experiences" involve Mage. I've ran the same list and feel quite happy about it. The only cards up for debate are the pirates, as drawing Patches the Pirate before the others feels frustrating.
I want to give my two cents again, as there are multiple weird deck choices in here. Maybe the OP can explain to me why he did choose those.
Lowly Squire has proven really useful as the OP put him in his deck too. With these 1-drops that grow attack Beaming Sidekick could be a great consideration to make them more resilient. Much more useful than Shadowhoof Slayer, a 2/1 with +1 Attack that dies too fast to matter later in the game.
Mana Burn is there to lock out my opponent denying their power turns (needs you to know your matchups well). Glacial Shard is not bad, but that freeze and 2/1 body rarely matters anything close to my opponent not being able to play his Reno Jackson or the Mage Quest-Reward.
I'm baffled how noone is playing Silithid Swarmer. Maybe the best turn 3 play you can do and it kills almost anything leaving a body behind. As you are already attacking in your even turns this is my new go to option.
Last but not least I found myself to lack a bit of burst, so I included all the good legendary cards that either lock my opponent out (Loatheb) or burn him down. Such as Metamorphosis and Leeroy Jenkins. While Aldrachi Warblades could burst a bit too, more is considerably better as we probably die either way when we can't kill our opponent fast enough.

What are your opinions on this list? Do you agree/disagree?
Had a blast playing it and hit legend again after about 30 games.
But i made some changes to my suggestions earlier:
- 2x Silithid Swarmer
- 1x Cobalt Spellkin
+ 2x Frozen Shadoweaver
+ 1x Aldrachi Warblades
Cobalt Spellkin is just too slow and the weapon is overall more useful. And i am astounded how great Frozen Shadoweaver is. There are a lot of weapons in this meta you do not want to attack such as Pirate Warrior, Odd Rogue, Dragon Hunter and the mirror. If you do have a better idea what to put in the deck or have any question feel free to ask.
I try to collect all the ideas to Odd DH here:
https://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1345972-odd-dh-76-wr-from-p5-to-d5-post-2nd-dh-nerf
I would be very happy if you would like to join the general discussion, cause your ideas are really inspiering.
.
Ogre brute ?
Azzinoth ? metamorphosis ?
Already a third of the deck has cards costing 5+ mana and I can't see myself adding more. Most of my match-ups were quest mages and aggro decks and a turn 3 (or 2) 4/4 does more work than 5 damage on turn 6. I would however consider changing the Brute for Frozen Shadoweaver.
I don't know if my list is strong or not.
I don't know if my list is strong or not.
Thanks for all the kind comments. Feel free to give my updated version a go for the May season.
I hit Rank 4 today. I am calling it. I cannot STAND to face another fucking secret mage, rez priest, or see that stupid fucking grin of Reno Jackson again. I will go back to Standard tomorrow.
Across both mobile and PC, my overall record with this deck is 35-19 64.81% WR and 53-21, 72% WR, respectively. There were about a dozen games that were super close.
This was a very fun deck but you NEED Chief Inspector to deal with the secrets. Saved my ass plenty of times.
I removed all pirates, 2 BLAs, and Altruis. I replaced them with 1 Firefly, 2 Chief Inspector, Hench-Clan Thug, Wrathspike Brute, and Metamorphosis.
Try out the updated version!
don't be so mad about a "missing" tech vs secret mage! You do not face them at high legend
Hey guys,
I tried out this deck and made a showcase of it! I have to say that I am not some pro in wild but I used to play the game at that time so I guess I kinda know the stuff but it is not like this odd demon hunter have been here forever :D. If you are interested in a gameplay video with commentary you can check it out bellow.
I hope you can enjoy it :)
At what rank are you encountering Big Priest? The meta is like 50% Mage for me.
Same for me, only Mage and DH in the moment, havent seen one Big Priest between P5 and D5
86% win rate aganist all those resurection priests? yeah i dont know about that
Post post nerf version?
based on this list I tried to define a post post nerfed list. It brought me from Platin5 to Diamond5 with 76% win rate. You can find it here:
https://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1345972-odd-dh-76-wr-from-p5-to-d5-post-2nd-dh-nerf
I would really appreciate every feedback on the list and suggestions for improvement.
Updated it for May. I was able to reach legend in one day.
What do you think of solid replacements for Bad Luck Albatross and Outcast now that they are both even?
