I planned for this to be more of a meme deck but I've had a surprisingly amazing win rate with it, even boasting an impressive 22-12 record against the demon hunter plague (and going 44-29 overall). Hope you guys have as much fun with it as I have had!
Edits: Removed 2x Ambush, 2x Bazaar Mugger and 1x Blackjack Stunner in favor of 2x Questing Explorer, 2x Evil Miscreant and 1x Sky Gen'ral Kragg
More edits: Made a bunch of small changes to add more secrets and shadowsteps to the deck in order to boost the priest matchup
Just recently got back into hearthstone and jumped right into rogue. Been climbing with GalaSecrets rogue and I just wanted to try out something different and refreshing and this deck really peeked my interest. That being said. I don't have the Galakrond story expansion yet so is there anything you'd suggest replacing Sky Gen'ral Kragg with?
Welcome back man! Kragg is pretty important to any quest deck, but since you lack him I suggest just adding another secret such as Ambush!
I made a deck similar to this I too agree with dropping the mugger I have never needed it for quest by turn 5, but i'm not sure about questing explore if you don't get it in your mulligan or draw in the first 3-4 turns it's just a river croc because you really want to get you thief cards as soon as. Do you get togg of consistently as you only have 4 lackeys to use? I really want to make a deck like this the best it can be because i love this kind of rogue. What are your thoughts on blade flurry? as a possible one of ?
I agree with your comment on the explorer and Togwaggle and ended up removing them for more secrets and Shadowsteps, which I hope might help a bit. As for Blade Furry, I honestly forgot it existed. It might actually be a good one of in the deck; I'll look into it but in the meantime if you want to include it I would suggest removing an Eviscerate or 1 Shadowstep.
The only cards I needed for this deck (Togwaggle and Hanar) I was set to craft anyway for other decks, so I thought I'd give it a shot and I'm having a lot of great games with it.
Currently about ~65% WR in Rank 5-1 Platinum and Rank 10-5 Diamond. It has a problem with face hunter (too much damage and no healing to recover from it) and Priest in general (just outvalued constantly and always has the answers), but can DESTROY Demon Hunter.
Glad you like the deck! Face hunter is the worst matchup for pretty much any rogue deck; the lack of natural armor/healing in the class just makes it way too hard to keep up with the face damage. I tried a lot of cards but usually the best way to beat them is making a huge Edwin :l. As for the priest matchup I removed a few cards (including Togwaggle, thought he was a bit inconsistent with our low lackey count) in favor of shadowsteps which help the value game a bit, still a difficult matchup tho. Good luck on ladder :D
Just logged to tell you that this is an amazing deck. Not only it's fun, but also doesn't suck like your good old meme decks.
However a small suggestion that I haven't tried yet, but I noticed that you run out of cards in your hand very quickly even with Dirty Tricksx2. I was thinking of maybe Sprintx1 or weirdly enough Candle Breathx1 (Considering that you can get a dragon from your Dragon's Hoard) instead of Ambushx1. Don't get me wrong as Ambush is amazing late game, but I feel that having 2 of it sometimes is not really necessary.
As mentioned, I haven't tried this switch but I think it might work with the lack of card draw, outside of Dirty Tricks.
Thank you for the feedback, glad to know other people are enjoying the deck! I have been experiencing the same problem as well and tried experimenting with your cards. Sprint and Candle Breath were a bit too slow, especially since Candle Breath was pretty inconsistent. Right now I'm testing replacing the secret package with the stealth package, which does come with slightly more card draw in the form of Skyvateer + Greyheart Sage.
Those actually were great changes, but I did a slight modification using a couple of your cards while keeping the secret theme.
So removed one Ambush, Edwin and 2 Backstabs, added two Miscreant, two Skyvateer plus one Greyheart, Drawing/Generating cards is not an issue anymore, plus I'm still doing good vs the demon hunter plague, unless they draw on curve, in which case, sometimes you can't win vs luck.
Keep up the good work. The meta is still shaping but so far so good actually.
