Hello everyone!

I was late with guide, as I was expecting such activity around my deck. And I also made a video guide to this deck, the link you will find at the end of the article. My guide will be in Russian, but in English it was prepared by an experienced player Kadak and kindly provided a link, it will also be at the end of the article.


Let's start with the question: why is such a rather random deck now playing at high positions in the ladder? And the secret is its variability and flexibility. What does this mean? In fact, this is an opportunity to play differently against each type of deck. For example, against control archetypes, you can play tempo and push it very hard, playing mana with spells like Apexis Blast, Incanter's Flow and Font of Power.

But against aggro decks, you will be helped by defensive spells of the magician, such as Flame Ward, Blizzard and Ray of Frost. An important point of the game against Galakrond Warlock and Big Priest is that you need to use cards such as the Font of Power and the Apexis Blast as soon as possible. And all because these decks carry two copies of the Bad Luck Albatross (and the Priest can even resurrect them), and this is the bird that breaks your deck.


Mulligan is quite simple. Against Aggro / Token decks, leave: Ray of Frost, Ancient Mysteries or Flame Ward, Magic Trick, and you can also leave a Blizzard if you have a coin.
Against Control/Big/Combo decks: Incanter's Flow, Learn Draconic, Font of Power, Ancient Mysteries, and an Apexis Blast if you have a coin.

I can't say anything about replacing cards, since this is the most budget-friendly version of the deck. But if you have the Power of Creation or the Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron, you can put them behind the place of turning Polymorph or one copy of Deep Freeze.
