Funny how the creator has gone quiet once his poor deck building skills have been bought to light. Zero board clears LOL
What a bad deck dude.
2 x Sethekk Veilweaver and only 5 Spells in your whole Deck 2 x 3 mana Spell + 1 x 5 Mana Spell wich means you can problably play them on turn 5 together ...ONCE, cause you cant cycle cause there is no mana left or this card has to stay on board 1 Turn - wich is nearly impossible. There is not a single 1 mana Spell - this is rly an epic Deck and no removal.
Pretty interesting to see how you try to beat a Druid when he has full board of 5/5 plus Taunt Turn 5 - 6 with Quest. No Removal GG
Demon Hunters are kicking this decks butt. Not enough removal
You're playing galakrond with Sethekk Veilweaver - it's an automatic call for Time Rip, you get 3 for 1.
With that, the fact there's no draw and little discover, I don't get why [renew] is not in the deck. I'd even consider Disciple of Galakrond, not for the count as much as the added card. That's why I like Skeletal Dragon and Psyche Split, but not Dragonmaw Overseer, which would be trampled, easy.
Time Rip is definitely a card I would like to add but Aeon Reaver fills the same role of time rip (Aeon Reaver gives you a 4/4 while Time Rip invokes Galakrond and synergies with Veilweaver). Both have their pro's and cons but were going to run time rip then we might as well run all or most of the other invoke cards.
This is not a bad idea, in fact I think it is a great idea because the Priest Galakrond and invoke were greatly buffed as result of the Hall of Fame additions, the new expansion Priest cards, and the rotation of A LOT of bad Priest minions. Unfortunately, even though the invoke cards are powerful and are essentially as good as draw a card, adding these cards would still lower the power level of the deck. This deck is a powerful midrange deck and the individual power level of each card is high enough that we don't need much card draw or card generation. I believe you won't feel like you need more value when playing this deck, and if the case arises where you do, you can easily remove some of the more midrangey options to lean into a more controlling style of deck.
Dragonmaw Overseer is a core card to this deck because we are often going to play a 1,2,3 curve and this is an extremely powerful card on turn 3. It is also not a good draw in the late came if minion combat is still the focus of the game at that point. This card has great synergy with our other early game cards, especially imprisoned hommunculus which awakes on turn three.
2x Veilweavers with only 3 buff spells.. not working.
Zero board clear spells. Your trying to jam every new card in. I would suggest adding 2x Penance and 2x Holy Nova and cutting some combinations of the Veilweavers, Chaplains and Overseers. Maybe even Scaleriders if your adding Penance. Good shell of a deck but will need refining.
I understand that there are only three buff spells in the deck for Sethekk Veilweaver. Ideally we would run more to better synergize with the card but the ones chosen either have great synergy with our deck and Apotheosis curves into Veilweaver. Shadow Madness is also a targeted spell that combo's with Veilweaver and helps protect it (bringing our total up to 5). Sethekk Veilweaver is an extremely powerful card on it's own and it is also a must kill threat for the opponent. It also gives us consistency with our 2 drops because before the deck only ran four.
Chronobreaker is a very efficient and powerful board clear that has great synergy with our deck. This is also a midrange deck that is often predicated on early tempo. Because of the individual powerlevel of our cards I do not forsee us falling behind often or needing board clears. Cards like pennance and holy nova have synergy with our deck but are overall unnecessary because we will be winning the early game in most occasions.
This definitely seems like the kind of priest that I want to play, my only question is why two Imprisoned Homunculus?
Imprisoned Homunculus is a very powerful turn 1 play that has great synergy with out deck and class. It is powerful against aggro and has great synergy with our turn three buffs, as it awakens on turn three.
i hope this works out! i'm rooting for priest this season
Although I too wantto play Dragon Priest, I am not under the impression that this will be an extremely good deck, like HL Rogue. Besides, it’s incredibly premature to now say this will be ‘tier S’, as you call it. You’ll run out of steam soon enough, no draw, and almost no card generation. You might kill off Aggro, but you’ll lose to other value-oriented decks like HL Mage. Just my 2 cents.
Highlander Rouge is a powerful deck, especially after Galakrond Rouge lost leeroy. I personally don't believe it is as good as people think it is generally. I just reached diamond 9 with quest druid and finished with an 80% win rate. I had 100% winrate (5-0) vs highlander galakrond rouge and none of the games were even close. I understand it matches up pretty well against other decks though.
In the next expansion (after the meta settles) I don't foresee highlander galakrond Rouge seeing a lot of play because regular galakrond rouge will be a lot better once it receives all of the new powerful rouge cards. It's possible highlander Rouge will be better BECAUSE you have so many good cards and you'll gain the benefit of running Zephyrs and Alexstraza but I don't think it will happen.
I understand it can be premature or even foolish to call decks "Tier S" before the expansion even drops. I have done this because after a good amount of theory crafting, and getting the opinions of other's who know the game very well, I have identified Beast Hunter, Galakrond Rouge and Dragon Priest as the best decks. I also believe these decks power level will be much higher than every other deck.
I believe this priest will be very successful because; it has a very powerful early game curve that is superior to almost all of the other decks in the meta, is very versatile and has a lot of good cards to sub into the list to become better against different kinds of matchups, it destroys aggro, and has very powerful card generation and value tools. It also has shadow madness to steal away other deck's prime cards, which subtracts from their potential value and significantly adds to yours.
I don't foresee highlander mage being extremely powerful in the next expansion and currently have it down as a tier 2 deck. It has powerful value tools but I think priest matchups up well with it in the early game and because of it's galakrond will have more than enough value in the late game. The priest galakrond is getting a powerful buff because a lot of the worst priest minions are rotating out. I believe priest will have enough value to stand up to most, if not all, value oriented decks, and has powerful value options that can be subbed in to help improve those matchups if they become an issue.
I think this archetype isn't viable yet, but in any case, I would try to fix the curve a bit. By that I mean filling the 4 mana spot with good and synergistic stuff like Twilight Drake, Evasive Feywing and Maiev Shadowsong and getting rid of dicier cards like Dark Prophecy and Psyche Split.
I think this archetype is definitely viable because it is highly favored against aggressive decks and has a lot of late game value that is comparable (if not better than) to most other decks.
I considered twilight drake and maiev and decided that they were not better than the options already in the deck. We have enough dragon synergy and twilight drake, on turn four, is often going to be around a 4/4, 4/5 statline which is worse than other cards already in the deck.
Evasive feywing does not synergize with deck. This deck has the option to be aggressive in the early game against control decks, and of course evasive feywing would help with that, but that is not the decks biggest strength or what this list is designed to emphasize. We also cannot buff evasive feywing with any of our buff spells and it is bad in minion based combat, which this deck excels at.
I can definitely see maiev making the list because it has great synergy with our early game plan. I'll definitely evaluate any cards that seem weak once the expansion drops and update the list accordingly. Maiev is one of the first cards I will be looking to add.
Dark Prophecy is terrible get it out of there
Dark Prophecy is a pretty powerful card. It lets you often create a 3 mana 3/5 or 3 mana 2/6. Both of these are good in a midrange priest deck. This doesn't even account for the highroll potential, especially because you can discover (Millhouse Manastorm is an example). Most of our other 3 drops are also either win more or reactive so Dark Prophecy is a solid median.
Thank me later y'all ;0 (14/15 from rank 10 to 5)

Just realized that Shadow Madness will be a staple card in Priest decks, if Prime cards will become popular.
It looks good, however Im not sure if 7 Dragons are enough. Also Galakrond is weird while 0 invokes.
7 Dragons is the standard amount of dragons to have at least one to activate your early game dragon cards. It's also hard to add more due to how many insane priest cards priest will have at it's disposal in the new expansion. All of the priest invoke cards are getting a lot better when most of the worst priest minions rotate. Invoke cards will be more like draw a card/add a minion to your hand that you would play in your deck. That being said I still wasn't able to find room for these cards and the neutral cards are low tempo as well. You mostly want to play galakrond for the hero power in the late game to gain value from your improved hero power.
