A custom deck I've been tweaking and perfecting over the past 4 months. I've finalized the deck and I've managed to hit legend with it. This deck is favoured in every control matchup/big priest/embiggen/quest druid, and can do decently against Galakrond Warrior/Rogue/and Face Hunter. What's even more exciting, thanks to Leeroy and Acolyte moving to the hall of fame, this decks bad matchups become easier to beat.
A few tips:
Never hit face against quest priest, until you can press enough damage to seriously stagger the opponent.
Remember to check how much you're overloading
Make sure you don't overdraw via Hagatha's hero power. It's very easy to get stuck with 10 cards in your hand, so manage your hand accordingly.
UPDATE:
Due to changes in the meta I've added Elysiana and another copy of plague of murlocs.
UPDATE 2:
Replaced 1x Storm Bringer with 1x Lightning Storm
Utterly crap deck. You get destroyed by hunter and rogue
Like this deck, but as for me - highlander is more effective
Control Warrior is a great matchup for this deck though. You just play Elysiana at the end of the game and then play shudderwock to cast elysiana again, winning you the game.
I swear.... every time I play this deck it is nothing but control Warriors. Wtf.... Blizz is on to something....
Whenever I am about to jump from one level to the next, like from 8 to 7 etc, I it is always against the worst opponent possible, like highlander mage meeting face hunter etc.
Yep.... oh well. New expac coming soon so we will see how that goes.
Half the deck is rotating cards so this won't be able to work at all. It's best to just save your dust and wait for the expansion in a week.
Yes I know, that’s why I said do you think King Pharaos will still be playable in the next rotation? Or is Hagatha to important?
Dont count on anything being meta until about a week or two after release. While Day 1 Crafts are always fun to do, it always sucks when you're sitting there 4 weeks in with a shitty deck and no dust left because you crafted irrelevant cards.
Hey,
I am trying something similar, but I just started, so I don’t own anything from the rotating expansions. Do you think this can be a viable deck in the new meta? What cards would you suggest to use to replace some of the rotating cards?
thanks
Yah I subbed Elysiana for Plague of Murlocs but -1 Storm Chaser could work as well. To be honest, this deck just isn't that great against Control Warrior, which has made a big resurgence. I'm going to really have to change a few things If I want it to work.
Played one game in Legend, lost in fatigue to Control Warrior (they're back) who had Elysiana...so, I think this needs Elysiana as well? I'd cut one Storm Chaser probably, gonna try some more games these days.
I would suggest Platebreaker these days ..
Awesome deck! I tried something similar with Highlander, but this is much more consistent and viable. It's really fun to keep clearing boards of Zoo Warlocks and Aggro Hunter, while healing out of range. Too bad a lot of the cards are getting rotated out soon :(
havent tried the deck, but how again are you outhealing a Hunter please? You dont even have the "must have" shaman healing spell. The earliest is Zilliax that is also in Highlander. Dont know about your Hunters but the ones I face kill me before Im able to drop Hagatha or Walking Fountain. Zoolock never been a challenge.
I see more answers to rogues with multiple earthquakes or boardclears with more pressure ..
I must admit I have only played around 5 games (which I won all) around rank 4-3. 2 against Hunter, 1 against Zoolock, 1 against Galakrond Rogue and 1 against Quest Druid. You are probably right though and I got very lucky against the Hunter early game, but once you reach the later turns its usually smooth sailing, because you have so many board clears and removal options. An Omega Mind + Earthquake is usually a full heal. King Phaoris followed by a Shudderwock usually ends the game then. But yea like I said I have a very limited sample size..
no worries, was just looking for a way to beat those Hunters out there, but not beeing very successful. maybe 1/3 if they draw bad.
