Hello everyone,

I came back on hearthstone after a small break, and here is my try at highlander priest with the cards from the new solo adventure !

After many different versions, I decided to build a list that only uses standard cards that will remain in the standard pool after the rotation next week ! Climbed  to diamond 10 with it, which I believe is the old rank 5, this version seems pretty solid in comparison with my older tries, you have a mana curve more early oriented with many turn 3 cards playable, while still keeping enough value cards for lategame !

Here is a screenshot of my last winstreak, from diamond 10 to diamond 4, which is the equivalent of the ranks 5 - 1 from the old system I believe. I got 81 % winrate out of 16 games, however I did get lucky by facing a surpisingly big number of priests where the mu is rather simple for the list, but I think this archetype can get to legend, I'll keep the guide updated if I manage to reach it !

Down below, you'll find some general tips, some thoughts about other cards/possible substitutes that could fit the list, and screenshots at the end, feel free to ask me any question in the comments, I'll be glad to answer !

You have some great cards to help you control the board, aswell as cards that generate value on their own, and the "stealing" mechanics of the list is surprisingly good. A few examples are against embiggen druid, copying their boosted cards with Thoughtsteal  is often interesting, against dragon lists, stealing their drakes, or their drake-synergy cards ( like the hunter's weapon that doesn't lose durability ) are good plays, and stealing Galakrond cards against rogue or other classes can also help you out ! :p

When Murozond the Infinite came out, I didn't really like the card, but after trying her out in many games, I think it's actually a decent one. It helped me more than once to swing games by playing him on curve, and never losing board control afterwards.  The card is especially good against rogues, you usually win the board early, and when they try to take it back by playing their 0-mana cost cards drawn with toggwaggle or their galakrond, you just play murozond the turn after and they'll concede !

Interesting cards // Possible substitutes :

Other drakes can fit obviously, such as Dragonmaw Scorcher or the 5/5 that draws one card.

Half-Time Scavenger --> Kind of a zilliax turn 4, that can generate value even against control mu.

Escaped Manasaber ~~> I don't have that wing of the solo content, but I think it would be a good turn 4 minion for the list.

Sandhoof Waterbearer ~~> Great priest card, the healing effect is often useful.

And many more, if you have ideas for cards that could go in the list, make sure to share them ! :)

SCREENSHOTS :

Some screenshots to highlight how crazy games can get with this list... :)

A game against embiggen druid who played 3 times his Embiggen by turn 6 and yet, I still managed to win ! ( I had 30 hp there, I won like 2 or 3 turns after this one. )

It might be obvious, but when you are facing another priest with this list, you are quite happy, because you have the upper hand against rez priest, and it will be a skilled mu if you face a highlander list. Anyhow, you'll have time to play your cards, and with the RNG, you can get Emeriss and this magic happens...

Another crazy game gainst galakrond rogue this time, I had already managed to steal his 4-times boosted galakrond and play it much earlier than him thanks to thoughtsteal, and I had the opportunity to steal it again with Lazul, without having played my own galakrond, he conceded right after this turn...

A value game aainst priest where I managed to steal 4 times his Fate Weaver and mine was still in my deck...
