Guide on Highlander Control Warlock

Part 1

Hello everyone This is a long-awaited review of my version of the Warlock Control archetype. First of all, I declare that the deck is author's, so I do not advise doing it for those who have little dust or cards for it.

Part 2

After a brief introduction, let's get down to the main part, namely mulligan and card replacements. Against aggro / mid decks, leave table sweeps and good early creatures to trade profitably. For Example, Scalerider. Against other decks, leave Mountain Giant or Bad Luck Albatross to break Combo decks.

You can replace Lord Godfrey with Twisting Nether, but this is not desirable. Now about the concept of this deck. It is very unusual and peculiar. The Warlock Control version with Plot Twist and Augmented Elekk was played after the release of the Rise of Shadows add-on. I really liked it, so I decided to try to revive it again.

In the comments, RAGEdarky noted that to use Zephrys the Great and Dragonqueen Alexstrasza, you do not need to create a highlander version of the deck. But in the same place, UNICLOWN correctly noted that Zephrys the Great is needed here not only by the end of the game. After all, you can grab the table and kill your opponent on the seventh move by getting Bloodlust with Zephrys the Great.

Plans for the game vary depending on the opponents. Against aggro / mid opponents in the early game, defend and try to seize the initiative by the middle of the game. Against control / combo decks, try to grab the table from the start of the game and also grab the initiative.

Also, the comments asked a question about using Plot Twist and Augmented Elekk. Yes, UNICLOWN, you can guess correctly about the use of these cards. In a protracted game, resources will be important to you, so feel free to use Zephrys the Great and Dragonqueen Alexstrasza. Then use Plot Twist and Augmented Elekk to mix only the cards you need into the deck. This can be for example: Kronx Dragonhoof, Zilliax and Aranasi Broodmother.

This is basically all, write your reviews in the comments. And statistics for this deck will appear a little later…
