This is my climb from rank 5-2 (2 wins were not recorded by tracker)
General Strategy:
This deck is surprisingly versatile. It can play for tempo and can also play for control. It really depends on your opening hand. If your opening hand consists a lot of 1-4 cost minions then you want to play for tempo. However, if you get an unlucky mulligan and don't have many minions to play through turns 1-3 then you want to play for control. This deck has an insane amount of value so don't be too greedy with your cards. For example, it's ok to use Grave Rune on a Bone Wraith, or Nightmare Amalgam before trading if you're going for more tempo.
*tip* If you have a Northshire Cleric and a damaged minion it is usually best to get the free card draw while you can.
*tip* Against Rogue, Murozond the Infinite is best saved for after they use Heistbaron Togwaggle's wand so you can draw 3 free cards.
Mulligan:
Always Keep - Any 1-3 cost card (except Shadow Word: Death), Bone Wraith/ High Priest Amet/ Twilight Drake (if you have a 1-3 cost minion)
Sometimes Keep - Zilliax (against Hunter)

I can't craft Cleric of Scales wtf?
played three games - all three times ended up in a similar situation:
gg i guess :") sorry to say that, but honestly the weirdest priest deck i've ever played
Easy! Because blizzard is favoring expensive decks and people who pay, by giving them amazing draws.
The moment they invented the "Zephrys" tech, the laws of probability shifted in favor of highlander decks.
Replacement for Ahmet ?
Mehmet
Why is dark prophecy in the deck ? What scenarios are you looking to achieve ?
It seems to me there are too many 2 drops to try to target one in particular that would be good. Also among the good 2 drops some are good because of their battlecry which will not proc here I guess. What are the possible highrolls you are looking for ? Pyro ?
personally replaced it with chameleos, working out better
Dark Prophecy is actually amazing just for tempo! The worst minion you'll get from it is a 2/2 which turns into a 2/5 which is pretty decent for a 3-drop already. But you'll usually get something better like a 3/2 or even 3/3 (Booty Bay Bookie), 4/4 (Millhouse Manastorm), 2/6 (Injured Tol'vir) or a good effect like Wild Pyromancer. It gets even better if you can play it after High Priest Amet is on the board because the minion goes to 7 health from Amet THEN gets the +3 health so you can easily get a 3/10 minion or better for just 3 mana! Dark Prophecy can also be tutored with Cleric of Scales if you don't have any other tempo 3-drops to play on curve.
This actually looks pretty fun. Priest's my favorite class, but Resurrect Priest doesn't really appeal to me. I've been playing Dragon Galakrond Priest and been doing okay (floating around 4) but I might give this a crack.
I agree with some other sentiments on here that even if he's not amazing, Chronobreaker is worth running at least 1 of. Bone Wraith has me tilting my head a bit, and Nightmare Amalgam seems to only be there because "cheap dragon". I'm thinking I might swap those two out for Chronobreaker and Penance and see how things work out.
Bone Wraith is great against the aggro matchup, and if you can land a Grave Rune on it, oftentimes that just wins games against the aggro decks. Whereas with Chronobreaker, your aggro opponents can just ignore it and keep going face then you have to still find a way of killing your own Chronobreaker usually by trading but that takes a couple turns and is too late.
Nightmare Amalgam is not only a dragon, but a mech so you can magnetize SN1P-SN4P or Zilliax to it. It also has great stats for a 3-drop to trade into other 2 or 3 cost minions on your opponents side. Sometimes I've even casted Grave Rune on Nightmare Amalgam for tempo because you get 6 mana worth of value for 4 mana.
81% WR but i bet no one is able to take this deck from R5 to Legend. Why? because highlander priest is a bad deck.
then explain the WR lol. Actually, a viewer took it to top 100 legend and another viewer got legend with it. You should try it before you criticize it
I've tried every form of highlander priest, galakrond or not and the cards just lack power to compete with other classes. There are tons of deck s where i went up to 90% WR but thats called a small sample size.
You went 81% with it, a viewer took it to 100 legend, but if the average player picks this deck he will get a WR lower than 50% guaranteed.
It's also a different story with playing this deck at r5 where ppl are trying out different stuff and not really focussed or rank 3 or higher.
I've just beaten a highlander mage, which is awesome. I usually have a huge problem with mages as Priest.
Madame Lazul made me discover his Cobalt Spellkin , which gave me Mind Vision , which gave me The Amazing Reno . I basically beaten him with his own cards. What an awesome game was that.
hahaha that sounds so fun!! Madame Lazul can discover some really great things in this meta especially fully upgraded Galakronds or a Togwaggle's wand :)
The deck is a lot of fun to play but I can't help getting completely demolished by people who go all out and full face. There's not enough presure and healing to keep me in the game :( This deck might just be missing 1 or 2 pieces to hold up.
This deck is full of dragons, why is there no Chronobreaker? That card is also a dragon so you can replace the odd looking amalgam in this deck
Chronobreaker is just too slow to play in any deck in my opinion. Just because it is a dragon doesn't mean we have to play it. The fact that its effect is a deathrattle and has no taunt means your opponent can play around it very easily. If played against aggro decks and they ignore it you still have to find a way to kill it yourself then.
Nightmare Amalgam is a good body of stats for its mana, is a dragon you want to keep in your mulligan for Cleric of Scales/Firetree Witchdoctor synergy, and also synergizes with the mechs of the deck, SN1P-SN4P and Zilliax.
+1 for not coming with a res. deck. But 80% is not realistic though. I would love to see a bigger sample size whereby you'll get into a more realistic win %.
exactly why I came up with this deck - I was tired of seeing so many Res Priest too! I definitely did get lucky during some games but honestly, most of the games were won very easily and skillfully. After more games, I still have a 67% WR over 50 games (even after a tilt streak :/)
