"No one expects the Reno Druid..."
This deck is super fun and is actually viable for climbing above rank 5.
Works well against a lot of aggro decks and can outlast most control decks.
This deck just works.
I would highly recommend giving this deck a try if you are tired of losing against the same meta decks over and over and over again. This deck is actually a blast to play in this meta.
Mulligan Guide
Against Druid: Currently, Druid decks are kind of all over the place in terms of play style. If you suspect your opponent is playing an aggro deck, look for Wrath, Zephrys the Great, and Reno Jackson. Scalerider can be good if you have a dragon in your opening hand. Otherwise, look for Crystal Merchant, Breath of Dreams, or Zephrys the Great.
Against Hunter: Look for Zephrys the Great, Reno Jackson, Swipe, Deathlord, and Crystal Merchant. Keep Wrath if you have one of the above. Keep Breath of Dreams if you have a dragon in hand.
Against Mage: Look for Eater of Secrets, Crystal Merchant, Deathlord, Reno Jackson and Wrath.
Against Paladin: Look for Swipe, Spellbreaker, Zephrys the Great, Deathlord, Wrath, and Poison Seeds. Keep Flobbidinous Floop if you have Zephrys the Great or Spellbreaker in hand. Reno Jackson can be good if you have a decent hand to start with.
Against Priest: Look for Zephrys the Great, Reno Jackson, Ferocious Howl, Crystal Merchant, Poison Seeds, and Breath of Dreams.
Against Rogue: Look for Crystal Merchant, Swipe, Reno Jackson, Wrath, Deathlord, and Zephrys the Great.
Against Shaman: Look for Reno Jackson, Swipe, Wrath, and Crystal Merchant.
Against Warlock: Look for Naturalize and Elise the Enlightened if Naturalize is the first or second card in your hand. If you find yourself constantly being queued up against Warlock, I would suggest teching in a Bad Luck Albatross.
Against Warrior: Look for Swipe, Reno Jackson, Deathlord, WrathCard Name, Crystal Merchant, and Scalerider if you have a decent hand with a dragon.
Synergies
- Flobbidinous Floop works great with almost every minion in this list. Your possibilities are pretty limitless with this card. Can be used as a full heal (Reno Jackson), An Elise the Enlightened endless mill combo with Naturalize, an extra N'Zoth, the Corruptor battlecry, two extra (0) cost dragons with Dragonqueen Alexstrasza, another Hadronox, another Ysera, Unleashed, or another Zephrys the Great. Remember Floop can also be used as an additional Zola the Gorgon.
- Hadronox can be resummoned with N'Zoth, the Corruptor
- Khartut Defender is sometimes all you need for a decent Hadronox/N'Zoth train.
- If you get Emeriss from Dragonqueen Alexstrasza, you will have a really fun time making your opponent cry when you play Floop and/or Zola next turn ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Replaceable Cards
- Elise the Enlightened is not necessary but can be used to out-value some control decks in the late game and swing some games against aggro decks pretty early if you have a decent hand.
- Hadronox is also not necessary as it is really only used in control games that last a while.
- Ysera, Unleashed is pretty useful, but not a required card to make this deck work. It's downside is it will add duplicates to your deck.
- Eater of Secrets can be replaced with any tech card depending on what you are being queued up against frequently. I find that Secret Mages are the most annoying decks to lose against personally.
Viable Replacement Cards
- Dirty Rat can work well against most combo decks you encounter. I wanted to put this card in the original list, but I feel like the list is really solid already.
- Baleful Banker could also be a viable card in this list. You could potentially play N'Zoth for 10 mana and play it again with Floop for 4 mana, letting you shuffle it into your deck with Baleful Banker.
- Ysera or The Lich King could work as viable replacements for Ysera, Unleashed and/or Hadronox.
- Branching Paths is a decent card and could certainly be teched into this deck.
- Witching Hour could be helpful if you want to center the deck more around Hadronox. You would have to be wary of Malfurion the Pestilent though because he summons beasts.
- Winged Guardian could be a nice addition to the taunt package if you have the new solo adventure set.
Changelog
2/23/2020: Took out Ysera, Unleashed and Primordial Drake. Added Winged Guardian and Scaleworm.

Yeah, let's do this. You can find me on Twitch @ >> https://www.twitch.tv/aeterahs <<
I will most likely start streaming in March. I've got a few more things to set up and then it will be time (❛̃ ͜ʖ❛̃)
Credit: This list was inspired by a deck I played against on ladder piloted by Kizer#1422.
This deck is completely dependant on Zephyrs to remove practically anything. For me it is losing vs every single deck I come across. Aggro stomps the crap out of it unless you have lucky mulligan and draws and it loses to all other control decks consistently.
I'm currently 1 - 9 and doubting I will get another win until I hit rank 18 or so and face people with basic cards.
Maybe I've just had the worst luck possible every single game, but to be honest, I've not lost consistently like this for ages.
is zola a safe craft, not sure if I would use her in other decks than this and some meme combo decks?
Well I crafted it, lets hope it works
zola is a must have for reno decks imo
Can't beat quest mages. Someone have any advices?
PS nevermind, just find out in previous comments
Nice one. Real fun.
This is the HIghlander Deck I've been tweaking for months with 100's of games: https://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1308974-legend-ga-highlander-wall-druid

</section>I feel like Ysera, Unleashed could be replaced with something else. There's already so much value in here, and hardly enough time to play everything. Also, it really disrupts Zephyrs and Alex if you play it ahead of them and leaves you with a dead card in hand until then. So, I chose to replace it with a Wardruid Loti.
I crafted Elise the Enlightened back in the day too, so I was really hoping to use it at some point. I can't use it, though, cuz my hand is often really full and I can't play all my cards cuz of how much everything costs, which is a huge bummer. I replaced her with a Rising Winds until further notice.

This is the best version of the archetype.
Didn't played much with this deck, cause I reached rank 5 quickly, but I gonna say that I enjoyed (almost) every single moment of playing it. Comeback from 1 hp, beating secret mages, pirate warriors, token druids... But the best moment was when I decided to try it (in my first game), when I had 15 dmg pyro. I lost only twice so far (cube and zoo warlocks, as I remember). Well, I'll play with this deck at ranks 5 and higher for sure, and I'll see how good it really is. Anyway, unusual deck for fun and wins - that's why it has a +1 from me.
The only replacement was: Ysera, Unleashed -> Ysera
Pretty sweet! I especially like the looks of Twilight Drake in your build, gonna try it.
When I fooled around with reno druid, I tried Twig (the legendary weapon) and found it to be pretty good, just as a tempo play at some point to drop some fatties against secret mage and what not.
I also have liked the sidequest that gives you 3 claws. It is just a fine early game play, not super fantastic or anything, but you attack twice, gain some cheap spells, do some attacks, gain some armor.
There is also a really fun infinite combo with twig + elise + floop. Turn 9 (or whenever you have 9 mana), play Elise, duplicating Floop + twig. Play twig. Next turn, play Floop (Elise), duplicating twig and floop. Play twig, destroying old twig and giving you 10 mana. You have 6 mana, of which you need 4 to play Floop again, copying twig and floop again. So for every iteration, you have 2 mana to do something. For example, activate your hero poweror play a claw from the sidequest. This is really situational, and doesn´t work if you have random expensive cards to the left of floop+twig (Elise copies the cards on the left first). But if you pull it off for the win you get an achievment unlocked. :-)
Cool deck, the only problem is 16,000 dust -_-
Oh this deck is FUN!!!!!!!!!!
no Zilliax?
Swizard and I came up with something very similar to this; I'm not sure if it was borrowed from us or whether it was created independently, but there are a few cards different. It's probably the most fun druid deck possible right now, and I don't normally like druid (9th in portrait wins on ladder for me) Our version had Firetree Witchdoctor and Netherspite Historian for a bit more early game that scales well into lategame with the discovers, Brann Bronzebeard , Frizz Kindleroost, Barista Lynchen, and Spiritsinger Umbra for the obvious synergies, and Blackwing Corruptor for removal as some of the biggest changes. The other differences are minor and mostly because I didn't have a few of the cards I wanted to use.
The one card Swizard and I disagreed on was The Curator. I like it because it pulls Hadronox when you don't have him (or Winged Guardian if you include one; we didn't at the time because the adventure wasn't yet released) and a dragon, plus it's a taunt for Hadronox to resummon, but he thought it was too slow.
Emperor Thaurissan would probably be a pretty good addition as well, due to all the lovely and fun greed in the deck :) Embiggen might work, but it might also slow the deck down too much; I don't have a copy so I haven't tried it. I also thought Lucentbark and Splintergraft would be fun choices, but not optimal, and I didn't have them to try.
I’ve been playing Highlander Druid for over 6 months now, and I have to say that mulch is a must. It’s life saving against mech pally, and super helpful as a mill/removal piece. I run a heavy N’Zoth/Haddy anti combo package (coldlight, dirty rat, deathlord (Zola and baleful to help bounce, with Elise to combo), and I’ve had a lot of success with it. Especially because a lot of the meta is against Quest Mage/mechathun decks, the ability to beat combo decks is nye essential in any decent control build.
Good call! I didnt even think of that. I'll have to try it out.
Great deck but its pretty useless against quest mage (but then again pretty much everything is which is why that stupid deck needs to get nerfed)
+1 good info wrote :-)
Can you explain how to win Reno Quest Mage(Vargoth one) with this deck? Armour gaining plan doesn't work. 4 out of 5 players playing it on 3+ ranks
Tech in a Dirty Rat. You could also play Flobbidinous Floop as a Dirty Rat for a second shot at pulling part of their combo. That and Naturalize can help burn some of their deck.
