This deck combines the hignlander hunter and quest hunter in a decent way that works great in most games.
Mulligan: Keep all 1-3 cost cards except unleash the hound. If you have 2-cost minion, then don't keep springpaw. if you have the coin and licensed adventurer maybe you can consider keep Brann to play him out on turn 5 with 2 coins which is a very strong play imo.
In general, there are two winning strategies for this deck:
If you have many on-curve minions, i.e. a very good starting hand or a very good drawing, then you should be aggresive and go face. Otherwise, you probably draw many quest-related cards like Swarm of Locusts or Shu'ma, then you should consider finishing quest first and then go face.
Usually game ends on turn 7~9, either you lose for low health (vs face hunter) or you cannot control the board (vs rogue/priest/warrior), or you win with the strategies mentioned above.

Some tips:
Zephrys on turn 2: In most cases I choose Animal Companion as it fits this deck's winning strategies best. It summons a minion, and can usualy deal some damage while making your board stronger.
Dragonbane: try to play it on turn 6 not turn 4. If you are on low health, remember that the 5 damage also heals you if it has Zilliax's Lifesteal.
2/7: Hit rank 3, wr is still ~70% (43W - 18L)
2/9: Some tweaks. Now run with Ashmore, Flark and Primordial Explorer. This change will make this deck more consistent and lower the chance of losing board control on the early game.
Mostly lose to face hunter and priest.

Lol what? So many cards would be terrible if the quest alone was taken out. It's literally the entire point of the deck and post.
Everyone knows about "regular" highlander hunter people. This person wouldn't have posted the list if there wasn't something unique about it, which there most certainly is. Fun looking, unique and new deck that looks viable in the meta.
Shu'ma in place of Siamat make this deck worse than the actual Highlander. lots of stuff here doesn't make sense. Nice idea but doesn't work it's just waste of dust, if someone is trying to craft some stuff to play this stop right now.
No win condition. Highlander deck is supposed to be played like a control deck and this one is half of an aggro with bad control options. Highlander decks win by using their strong stuff near turn 7-9 and win after control most part of the board with value cards.
Imagine on turn 8~13 u draw microtec, licensed adventure, Hogstead or any of these bad stuff? I mean, u can see as a lost right away.
Please note this deck should be considered as a variation of the quest hunter, not the highlander hunter, so it is more important to finish the quest than maximizing every card's value in this deck. Therefore, Shu'ma is not necessarily worse than Siamat. For example, when you want to be aggresive and finish the quest as soon as possible, it is better than Siamat obviously.
I don't know why you think this deck has no win condition - the new hero power is so powerful and can deal 20+ damage easily with a few small minions on your board (just use unleash the hound/ jerkins with your hero power) and there are also many games that I won with enough damage even before I finish the quest. This deck is no way a control deck, rather a mid-range one that gives huge pressure on turn 7~9.
For your last point, I mean if what you say makes sense then any deck should not include any 2~3 drops, otherwise if you draw them on turn 8~13 "you can see as a lost right away". Am I right? lol
Agree with some points, but u know, some 2~3 mana cards are really powerfull bought later turns. See sap for example
Yeah, the point is you need those 2-3 cost minions to survive in the early game even they might be bad if drawn after turn 8.
I loved this deck. I didn't make any changes till the end and I would love to hear your thoughts on the starving buzzard.
buzzard is too weak in many aspects.
First of all, 5 cost 3/2 is bad in stats. While Halazzi, the Lynx is also 5 cost 3/2, it can replenish your empty hand and help you complete the quest and control the board. But what can buzzard give you? Nothing but drawing cards (from your own deck!)
Secondly, it is costly to combo with other cards. It can hardly be played on turn 5 as the only possible combo you can have on turn 5 is with desert spear, but you need to draw it first. Okay, maybe turn 8 buzzard + unleash the hound looks good, but then again, why I don't use Cult Master + unleash the hound?
Finally, there are many good other card drawing option for this deck like Countess Ashmore, so even you want to have more card-drawing cards in this deck, buzzard is not an ideal option in any sense. In that case, I think you can replace revenge of the wild with Ashmore.
Thank you for playing this deck!
Re-place Quest for Zuljin, or a weapon, maybe. IMHO, that would make the deck better, plain and simply.
No, then many cards should also be adjusted and it is only a highlander hunter now.
The quest wins at least half of all games for me. It is a very important winning condition in this deck.
Really fun deck. Good idea.
Thank you! Glad you enjoy it. :)
