I took a lot of inspiration from Hunterace's HCT Championship Deck.
Giggling Inventor- stops big druid and warrior(otk galakrond) minions from attacking face. taunts are annoying to deal with, rogue just can't sap.
Mutate - it's important to have as small a hand as possible because Hagatha's spell generation will be tricky to manage. playing this on 7 mana minions like giggling inventor is good as there's walking fountain and tirion in the pool, but beware of octosari. I lost a rogue matchups because of that.
Omega Defender- You will need defensive cards to contest the board. Also important to have cards that don't add cards to your hand.
Ancestral Healing - this is a life saver, Rush + windfury Siamat clears two minions and leaves a 6/6 taunt. Archivist Elysiana turn won't be too vulnerable. This + walking fountain same as siamat. Combos with Black Knight. Could be used emergency taunt to avoid lethal.
Mind Control Tech - can singlehandedly turn games around at 3 mana, can be replaced with haunting visions. I sometimes would switch between the two.
I'd be honest, I don't run the most optimal list. Having the optimal list will give you better chances against decks like Highlander Rogue and Highlander Hunter. Although I have defeated those, I still think those are the more difficult matchups. Against Big Druid(super popular right now) and Resurrect Priest? This is already nuts.
Cards not on my list
Shudderwock - I don't have this but I am doing fine without it.
Swampqueen Hagatha - I think this would be the best addition to the deck. I'm still on the fence on whether it would be a wise investment. I probably will craft it once I've tested the new weapon.
Zentimo - I don't want to be disingenuous, I don't actually have it but listed it in the reply(referring to the thread where someone asked about this deck), I just thought it works well with the deck. I could still stomp druids and priests without it, though.
Haunting Visions - replace mind control tech with this.
Weird Additions?
Loot Hoarder - This deck needs to survive the early game, and you need to draw. This card is perfect as presents a threat that is tempting to trade with.
Elementary Reaction - you have a lot of elementals. Hitting a board clear or transform effects is really nice
Bone Wratih / Khartut Defender - small floody boards like Rogue and Warlock will usually make the mistake of choosing to trade rather than use removal. That way, you can get to late game where you can stabilize.
Lifedrinker - same reason as Loot Hoarder
MVP of the deck:
Hagatha the Witch: It will clear the board and curves well with Dragonqueen Alexstrasza. Shaman spells are mostly removal, healing, taunts, transform. So you will live. The useless Totem cards don't even rot in your hand, you can just throw them away. Also, have you seen the two new spells?
Vulpera Scoundrel: This is an emergency Hex, Plague of Murlocs, Scheme, Earthquake. Even if you don't have those, it will give you at least one good card. If not, don't be afraid of picking the mystery choice. Shaman spells are just sooo good. And did I mention this is a ripe target for Explosive Evolution? 6 mana minions has the best random minions.
General Advice.
Don't be too conservative, use 3-damage scheme on a lackey board if it can save you some health. Health is your most important resource. After turn 5, you will have a lot of great comeback plays.
Post Hagatha, you will make your opponent run out of resources with your unlimited control power. Be careful with overload, and always plan your next turn. If your opponent is running out of steam or passed a turn, that would be a great opportunity to dump your overload cards.
Your win condition is bringing opponents to fatigue, Sometimes you just win by exhausting their hand while maintaining the board. I have Elysiana'd with three cards in the deck. Do it while you have the opportunity. Also, selecting a cheap (value generating)minions is usually the way to go. A random shaman spell is worth a lot now. Galakrond Priest value is shit compared to Hagatha.
LOL what are these? Statistics? Come on...
Yep, sorry. that's the best I can do I don't have the deck tracker thing. I play on mobile.
I just really wanted to share, please don't laugh at me that took effort.
So, I suspect I'm not getting this but how exactly does this beat Embiggen druid? I'm getting flattened whenever I see this deck. Tips appreciated.
Also losing quite handily to that old classic. Face Hunter.
I thought I misread it as 'you were flattening Embiggen decks'
Embiggen Druid has weak early game. Dont Bother building the board, Mulligan and try to draw for your Removals instead. If you gt scheme, you are probably set. There are 4 draws in your deck, its easy to get the stuff you want. Don't be conservative on using your removals, there will be plenty of that later.
The other best card to mulligan is Far Sight, as theres a chance you can have a big turn 4 turn.
Your discover cards are cheap, try to find board clears, removal.
After you stabilize with hagatha, it's difficult to lose. Manage your resources wisely and plan your turns ahead.
I've been playing highlander control shaman for the last few days, mines a bit similar to this, i'd say more refined than this list and isn't really any cards i'd want to swap as i would in this one.
Here's my list: https://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1329253-highlander-control-quest-shaman
I play Highlander Galakrond and it works pretty well. I tried before with a non Galakrond one and my success rate was very low.
I don't know abou this deck but without Shudderwock it looks really weak if you ask me.
Electra is pretty useless. Not many spells you can combo with her. In many cases she will be just a 3/3 drop. Elysiana is also a card that will in most cases cramp your hand if you draw her too early. Mutate does not have many possible targets apart from giggling inventor. You will not get much value out of it.
Slow down there, Mutate is not only limited to Giggling Inventor. Siamat is a good target too, Alex discovers too.
I do agree that Shudderwock will make this deck a lot better. I could just not bother to craft her as she's rotating.
Electra combos well with Scheme and Earthquake, really good against Embiggen Druid. It's a surprise lethal, board flood, value with post hagatha discovers.
You may not believe it but I have consistently brought Control Decks to Fatigue with this deck. Archivist Elysiana is a really good card here.
I don't have Hsreplay but I've listed my winrate with this. It's over 50% but I can't seem to get a long streak, I'm floating in rank 4-5
VS Embiggen Druid - WIN
VS Highlander Hunter - LOSS
VS Galakrond Priest - WIN
VS Quest Rogue - LOSS
I actually gave in and crafted Hagatha and put haunting visions, it really made the deck better.
VS Quest Rogue - WIN
VS Embiggen Druid - WIN
VS Embiggen Druid - WIN
VS Combo Priest - LOSS
VS Embiggen Druid - WIN
VS Highlander Hunter - WIN
VS Quest Hunter - WIN
VS Highlander Mage- LOSS
totally agree here, even the Galagrond version you face fatigue when facing some control - and these games are crucial to climb, just sucks losing after 35 mins. and Electra is a nice surprise.
Aye. Removed and added some cards, for example this deck really needs Shudderwock instead of Elysiana. Thanks for sharing btw.

Nice Deck,
I really wouldn't really replace Black Knight and Ancestral Healing though, they won me a lot of games so far. And on all Embiggen Druid games, Black Knight killed some huge-ass minions.
Thalnos > Loot Hoarder = Agree with this too.
I actually already gave in and crafted Swampqueen Hagatha, The first time I used her was turn 4 after getting hit by far sight, I got the 10 mana spell too, opponent just conceded. No regrets with the craft. Although, I'm praying Shaman will have good control cards this april.
usually play the Galagrond Version but in this Meta I need space for BlackKnight or Mindcontrol Tech or Khartut, so yea maybe miss out on the 2 8/8s with rush and 5 Armour
still no chance against Galarogue or treantDruid
Hagatha's Hero Power is a lot more valuable than Galakrond's is all I'm saying. Galakrond runs out of steam fast. It's just two burst turns(if you have shudderwock), then nothing. Hagatha will give you an almost endless removal , defenses and healing. (Even without shudderwock)
Mate...Zentimo will rotate in april? if so doesn't worth to craft, electra is another 'cause rotation.
Nice tips, I will move some stuff here, thx
No problem.
Any idea how to Replace Electra storm surge and Black knight?
Black Knight is just really good in this meta. I actually just took that inspiration from usual Zephrys discovers, so Faceless Manipulator, Fire Elemental, Doomhammer,
Big Game Hunter and Spellbreaker are close to what it does too, or maybe when Boompistol Bully comes along you can slot it in.
Electra Stormsurge - it's a great card too, try using Zentimo or have both Haunting Visions and Mind Control Tech.
Or taking another inspiration fron zephrys, Thunder Storm.
