Decided to play this deck again today. And even without a card to draw the 1 cost taunts, it’s still easy and fun to play.

Something you might be able to experiment with is adding Octosari to the deck.
that's just another way to draw many of your 1 mana cards which went back through Spirit of the Dead if you don't draw Bwonsamdi.

this decky is super janky. the previous version with zola was so much more consistent. it is so dependent on bwomsamdi and the spirits just almost never feel good.

shuffling 1 mana card in your deck is not actually very good without being to draw them. Academic espionage is terrible without some way to draw cards like sprint. Bwonswamdi allows you do shuffle a bunch of stuff, and then draw it, which is super powerful. But there is only 1 bwomswamdi in the deck

I understand that drawing cards is very powerful. But like you said, it's only one card. In the games I played I got Bwonsamdi very early or not at all. And I think this deck would do better with some cards for the early game.

When you find a good way to protect the Spirit, you'll get so many cards that almost every draw is a Defender. The last game I played ended with me having 5 Defenders and 2 Spirits on the board, 6 cards in hand and 27 cards in deck. :)

I think this is one of the funniest decks around. But there is room for improvement. Might try some different cards to see what will happen.

yeah it's true... this deck is either janky AF or super fun. Hopefully deathrattle priest gets another couple tools to use next expansion.

Why Bwonsamdi, the Dead is in this deck? There are only two minions with 1 manacost.

If you can, build and play it. You’ll get it.

Spirit of the Dead shuffles 1 cmc creatures i to your deck when they die. Bwonsamdi draws them for you.

exactly...Bwonsamdi is there to reload your hand late game.

Smashed this list the other day with Big Spell Shaman, turns out plague of murlocs and hex is a pretty good counter :)

Yeah, that's a great counter for rez priest.

what about adding albathroses !!!! i made one and is really frustrating to play against.. only counter is normal quest priest

I like albatross but I feel that this list doesn't favor that card as much without Psychopomp and embalming ritual.
