I made this deck after messing around with Galakron Priest, I ended up deciding the Galakron elements weren't necessary and ended up replacing them with a Albatross combo. I've been beating every deck I come across except hand buff rogue. (Since they can buff the albatrosses). You have enough control from spells to get rid of any board your opponent puts up, and then constantly spamming the albatrosses using 'Grave Rune' and 'Pychopomp', you know you will be getting better draws than your opponent on average. If you don't draw the Albatrosses, you still have insane control with the spells and taunt minions, and you can always use 'Grave Rune' on the 'Khartut Defenders' to heal back to full HP from pretty much any amount. They also prevent a lot of 1 turn kills due to having Taunt and sticking to the board like glue. I've had multiple people close the client while vsing me in the last few matches, so if you want to mess with meta-decks and make your opponents rage quit, this is the deck for you. It's also really cheap to make!
Once the game catches on that is what you are playing it will bury the albatrosses. Once you have lost enough to maintain the 50% win rate they will show up in the beginning again.
Some feedback:
1) You might as well replace one of the 1-cost spells with Activate the Obelisk, since right now you're always going to draw dead on turn 1. Also it synergizes with Tol'vir.
2) Power Word: Shield isn't great because the only thing it synergizes with is Ziliax, as you don't have Divine Shield (double the life you added) or Inner Fire (turn that life into attack) or Lifesteal (increase the chance that you'll get two attacks worth of lifesteal with something) on anything else. Though it does get a little better if you add the quest in, as it's that much more life that can be healed back to full to complete the quest faster. I'd probably still go with Forbidden Words.
3) This is just an opinion, but I always found Shadowy Figure to be one of those "fun" cards that worked much better in theory than in practice. But I could be wrong.
4) Here's the big question I have: Why not just ditch Galakrond in general? He basically sucks in Priest. Take note of how many times his minions have saved your bacon, and how many times they sat in your hand the whole game. I started with a Galakrond deck too, but after a lot of playtime, I ended up with this: AAECAZ/HAgjTCqCAA42CA5eHA9aZA5ObA5+pA92rAwvWCoKUA5ibA5mbA6GhA6+lA9GlA5mpA9msA/KsA/2wAwA=
I was palying resurrect Priest And then I started playing your deck.
It's abseloutly powerful!
The strengh of ressurect + the power of albatros.
I won my last 5 games in a row
It is a crime that this deck isn't named, "Arise, chicken!"
Upd 2: just played against good-fitted control-Boom warrior deck. Won only 'cause of Galakron build. Quest would definitely not help in that matchup. And won it without albatrosses - random didn't gave me them unless opponent had only 7 cards in his deck, so I decieded not to give him more fatigue immunity. And it worked generally good, with some bad luck too (mass res gave me one of psychopomps, for example). When Galakron hero power gave me SECOND Catrina and I played her, opponent surrendered.
Still want to check quest setup when I will have it - yes, still haven't quest, maybe new cards megapack will give it to me tomorrow:).
I am little nervous about new cards from adventures. If they will be too powerful especially versus this deck...
P.S. I am playing priest with Madame Lazul hero. Special kind of joy - "Care to hear ya fortune?". Your fortune is - albatross, albatross, albatross, albatross, albatross...
Upd3: meet wery cool rogue. She first stole many random cards in her deck. Then - after many turns - began to draw "cards-that-weren't-there-in-beginning-of-the-match". Let's guess what she pulled:).
Also, mass ress and Catrina Muerte that I have are golden. What is much better then 1/1 albatross? GOLDEN 1/1 albatross.
Love this deck but I wonder if Injured Tolvir could be replaced? it just seems too weak of a card to add to your graveyard pool and seems to interfere with what we are trying to achieve. Thoughts on replacing it with something else?
at one point I had it replaced with the 2/2 deathrattle add a lackey to your hand, but it also wasn't that good to res. I like the card for vsing aggro match ups, but I don't have any ideas on what to replace it with, I would love to know if you find something that works though!
okay so i dont personally use a deck tracker so i dont blame anyone for not believing me BUT i decided to try this deck out in rank 5 and proceeded to go 11-1 with one loss to a treant druid that curved out perfectly. that being said, this is seriously one of my favorite decks of all time. its fun, troll-y, requires skill and has proven (for me, at least) to be EXTREMELY powerful. thank you for uploading this list, its seriously fucking killer.
I went 10-1 at rank 12. Does amazingly well vs the new wall druid. One game I must've created about 10 infiltrators and then he just conceded.
Thank you so much, that means a lot! I'm glad you achieved so much with it. Your comment made my day.
Crafted Psychopomps and tried this deck. And I laughed wery loud. Was playing versus Quest-Shudder shaman, he completed quest, he summoned Shudder (who copied Siamat's shield and rush). My Galacrond actually was usefull and helped me to make it until... some turn... when I had 12 cards in deck and opponent - around 28-30:). Aaaand he surrendered with full hand.
I don't know how effective this deck generally is, but no other deck made me laugh as good as this.
Also. What card is better to replace if I want to include Catrina in deck? (got her from Shadows preorder and of course want to use xD)
I would remove a Power Word Shield for Catrina, I think she would fit very well with all of the taunts! Good Idea!
P.S I'm glad you are enjoying it! That is why I posted the deck here originally, for people to have fun! I was having a blast playing this deck so I just though I'd spread the joy.
Also I have question about rogue. About new legendary Flik Skyshiv.
Rogues are generally risky opponents (they can just return albatrosses in your hand, removing all buffs, for example), but Flick... "Destroy all minion copies wherever this copies are". And rumors are that he can destroy minion copies even in your "pool" so you can't resummon them anymore. Somebody tested it?

Also - figured out about "Galacrond vs quest priest". Galacrond is better if you COULD flood opponent's deck with birds. But if you could not (just didn't rolled albatrosses untill wery lategame), then quest looks definitely better... But there are, maybe, other ways of doing quest priest.
Your suggestions? Should every other cards be the same for "Alternative albatross version - with quest, no Galacrond"? (Quest/Catrina/Spirit of the dead/Mass dispel" as one visitor suggested here).
Just came up against a version of this. Very, very cute - would be a lot of fun to play in a casual setting, though seems too cute against competitive decks unless you get a high roll (ie. lots of birdies in the opponent's deck early, and your opponent drawing at least a few of them).
Personally, I won - though I also rolled fairly well (Dragon's Hoard Galakrond, while my opponent got lots of birdos in my deck early, my two DH legendaries were Shudderwock - so very high roll there - and Prince Liam to turn all those birdos into random legenderies).
The good thing about the deck is that it high rolls often, I don't know why it does, but it seems like you always draw albatross in your starting hand, along with pychopomps and grave runes. The combo a lot of other people don't see goes like this, you play albatross, you play Embalming Ritual on the albatross, you then play grave runes on it. Then you use the Shadowy Figure on it, and all of the effects stack. So by turn 5-6 you can have a full board of albatross. You can repeat this cycle with any other minion in the deck, it works well with Kharut Defender, since they all come with reborn already.
First 2 games...your opponent has left. Lmao
Psychopomp is nedeed for this deck, yes? And how good this card generally is? Worth crafting, will be playable on next hearthstone year?
I didn't played as priest for long time, want to create priest deck now. Have all cards from this deck but no Psychopomp, even one of them (sad, opened lot of Uldum packs). So, want to know - worth to spend 800 dust on them if I want to play priest more - or not?
I think he is pretty important, he's not 100% needed, but he helps you survive early aggro if he hits the taunt minions. I don't know if he is playable next expansion or not, I haven't kept up with that kind of information.
The Galakrond priest package just isn't very good when climbing rank 10-1.
I've replaced the Galakrond cards with the quest/catarina/spirit of the dead/mass dispel.
There is no win condition with Galakrond. Quest Priest can atleast infinitely buff minions in the late game
