I've been pretty bummed out since the last set of nerfs to Shaman that I tried to theorycraft an anti-highlander Shaman deck that uses Da Undatakah and Shudderwock to put enough birds in an enemy deck to be annoying. I tried to shove Spirit of the Frog combos which requires a lot of spells, leaving Shudderwock incredibly underwhelming when played.
Maybe if you keep Voltaic Burst, the Faceless Manipulator battlecry on Shudder would have an easier target to work with. The problem is that saving Voltaic (for a late game Shudderwock combo) can be difficult when you just want to use it to remove minions or use it with Spirit of the Frog.
Also Quest Priest will have x1 Mass Dispel x2 Mass Hysteria x2 Plague of Death and will likely play around Zentimo + Hex if you are Rank 5 or above. (As they don't need to overextend and have more than 2 minions on the board.)
Right now Shaman is in a really terrible spot starting from the top of the tier when DoD came out; shoveling all the way to the bottom with every recent nerfs. If anyone thinks that they can be a deck doctor or just agrees that this meme is hopeless please let me know. My next attempt will try to take out Spirit of the Frog and Zentimo and try to apply a Quest Revision with more battlecries minions so that Shudderwock will be a more powerful late game play. But I don't think it will be any good. With no way to go infinite with Shudderwock in Standard, there really is no way to get value out of this type of deck.
Also if anyone knows of an actual possible competitive deck for Shaman currently let me know.
UPDATED 1/18/20: Influence taken from SlipperyBum's deck which he linked in the comments below. I would probably put Jepetto in the deck if I had it. I think this possible could be a more refined version but without the Jepetto highroll possibility. I'll play some games with it to find out. I also added a Seaforium Bomber package to mess with Highlander decks even further. Good Whale Hunting out there brothas!
After playing a little bit I noticed the deck was a bit draw heavy. The deck really suffers if you fail to play Undertakah during the match so you are likely holding off to play Shudder in the end game. The other big problem is only having terrible ways of generating Shudderwock. So the orginal concept from SlipperyBum was to use Jeppeto Joybuzz and Baleful Banker along with Tunnel Blaster to get a high roll infinite Shudder. This likely is hard to pull off and is incredibly draw dependent. Instead because I lack Jepetto in my collection, I suggest a substitute of Khartut Defenders because it's still a good card on it's one. Having two will increase sustain while cutting some of the draw battlecry minions hardly hurts since you still have a great draw/cycle package already. I had to sacrifice Seaforium Bombers to put in Faceless Corruptors. DO NOT USE VOLTAIC BURST--this was added to play on a turn 10 Shudderwock to have more consistent results with Faceless' Battlecries. Also I decided to add Sunfury Protector like in the original deck back in to create a more defensive approach and also helping complete the quest faster. I will play some more games to see if this helps with tempo/sustain issues I am having.
Quick Revision: I think I will add Barista even if it's a little greedy. Removing one Khartut Defender might hurt but I think the high roll my be worth it.
[1 hour later] UPDATE: I just had the worst run in with a Highlander Mage that Polymorphed my First Albatross, used a SkyShiv on my Faceless (Yes, I didn't mistype Rogue--this MAGE got it from a random generation spell generated by a removal spell). then proceeds to Zephrys and get Hex to deny me my Khartut Defender. I'm giving up on trying to work this deck into a possible threat. There is just no tools available to activate or copy your Shudders like in the past. I'm off to try a terrible deck with only Spriit of the Frog, Muckmorpher, and Underbelly Ooze...because I'm a masochist.
Couldn't care less for the guide or deck but +1 for the name.
Delete shaman may solve this problem.
I think the key is to get rid of the spirit frog package, add a bunch of control, and then add barrista and baleful into it in order to get infinite shudderwoks. Then add a bunch of minion damage so that shudder clears the enemies board when played.
I have never upvoted a deck so fast in my life
I'm bummed out about shaman too. The only thing that is currently keeping it on ladder is galakrond which is such a boring and dumb card. Not much can compete with the galakrond ready-made archetypes and face hunter. I've been experimenting with all kinds of decks, with little success. Now I kind of wish I had'nt spent any money on this game. It sucks too because I've only invested in one class, since I'm not a millionaire, so now that it's unplayable I can't really do anything.
Anyway, I thought I could share my very own Albatross-Shudder-Undatakah deck from before. It's really bad, but earlier in the meta I managed to pull it off a few times.

Ooh I wish I had Jepetto to play this! I don't really think even Galakrond Shaman is doing well currently... One of the reasons I believe Galakrond Shaman is bad besides all the nerfs is that everyone playing the game has had to fight it at some point competitively so they know exactly how to play well against it. I find is sad that the only answer to interact with Highlander decks is with Albatross. And trying to make a combo centered Shudderwock in Standard mode and pulling it off is definitely more difficult than its worth.
I see Blizzard do this in Overwatch and Hearthstone. They often release something new that is well above the power level it should be and then systematically tear it apart by applying more and more nerfs.
Anyway...I have to ask why you put Earthen Farseer over Life Drinker? Also do you think the deck you linked is bad because of having inconsistencies due to having a lot of single copies of cards or just in generally not refined enough?
I think it's not quite refined enough, but also for this combo to work you are very restricted with which cards to use so I don't think it could ever be good. You can't use unconditional card draw battlecries or deathrattles, because you'll draw 9 cost 6/6 shudders, wheras you want them to be 1/1/1 so you can play 7 of them each turn. The reason I don't use lifedrinker is so that I dont otk - this is a meme deck after all. Basically you hold them hostage until they concede. All of the card serve a purpose, and farseer basically makes the game go on for longer by healing everything. It also activates quest.
Personally, I think you should consider running a heavier battlecry package and see how you can splash the deathrattle for albatross and Undatakah. Not sure Electra Stormsurge is doing enough in this deck, comboing with haunting visions or far sight is good value, but nothing game breaking.
Yeah I mentioned that in my description for the deck. I'm finally able to get around to mess with the deck so I will try to see what I can possibly do with it. Looking to remove Zentimo, Electra and Spirit of the Frog for more battlecry packages that help me with using Albatross.
