This is my version of Pirate warrior. Just hit legend with an over 67% win rate – (I played and lost one game at legend).
I’ve encountered versions that included x 2 Town Crier, x 2 Restless Mummy and Captain Greenskin, but my version replaces these with:
2 x Sharkfin Fan – The synergy with weapons and Skybarge made for some excellent turns. Also allows a free 1/1 to use the Faceless Corruptor on
2 x Frothing Berserker – Made trading really awkward for the opponent – particularly useful when hidden behind a dread corsair.
Ancharr – To be honest I rarely seemed to draw this card and it really didn’t matter. It was useful for much longer games when I began to run out of resources, but otherwise the deck seems to have enough to overwhelm.
Captain Greenskin – could be good but I actually liked the way the x1 Faceless Corruptor impacted the board and allowed for trades.
Nice deck, got 13 win streak.
Do not like, too heavily dependant on draw and if you do not get certain key cards, you run out of steam by turn 6. Not for me and my play style, in this meta atm.
Sorry but this deck is too slow. No card draw. Every other meta deck is crushing it. Lost six in a row so far and each game I wasn't even close to killing them.
So out of 10 games, I won 6 and lost 4, around rank 14. I'm sure I still have some learning to do with this deck. But still, a 60% win rate is good. My major problem has been HD Mage with those pesky Dragoncaster plus Flamestrike combo. Happened to me twice already and I've lost both times. I lost to Embiggen druid and some tempo hunter deck that I haven't seen. Other than that, I have a 100% win rate vs the 3 paladins I faced, the 1 warlock, and the 1 priest. This deck also beats aggro hunter pretty well.
Update!! 76% win rate!!!
Currently 13-4 with this deck. After the initial post, I played a few games in practice mode to get a feel for the deck and I won 7 ranked games in a row without any changes. Ancharrr is a huge legendary weapon that helps insanely with draw power for this deck and I never mulligan it away if I draw it. I found that utilizing Upgrade! alone is not ideal because plenty of times the Hoard Pillager just brought back a 1/3 weapon. I cannot stress enough how much of insane synergy you get with Hoard Pillager and Ancharrr to pull those pirates out your deck. I found that Frothing Berserker is really hard to deal with as the creator of this deck mentioned because when going against Face Hunter, if you have enough pirates on the board and you intentionally proc an Explosive Trap, your Frothing Berserker will get huge. Lastly, I like the Faceless Corruptor because it deals with the only issue I've found so far when playing this deck.... and that would be against the Druid card Emerald Explorer. Quick way to get rid of an 8 health minion by transforming your low stat pirates. All in all, Great Deck! Let's see if I can win 7 more in a row! Went from rank 14 to rank 10 in about 2 hours. Super fast!
Update!! Made it to 20 wins! 77% win rate!

It may be viable, but I'm having a hard time with this deck versus both Face Hunters, which can just generate more tempo, and the control decks that are appearing to combat Face Hunter. Caught in between, I can't win with it.
Hey bud,
I'm going to add more to the guide to try and help. With Face Hunter sometimes it's good to armor up regularly and collect key pieces together. For example massive tempo swing can be gained when playing cheap pirates after skybarge goes down. Dread corsair can be saved and played for free with a reaper. Obviously, if you draw Ancharr you can splurge resources out there more freely and be super aggro.
BUT, as you say it has to be said the meta seems to be shifting to tech against the deck and in a taunt heavy meta it may not be so resilient - so we'll have to see. Face Hunter/ Pirate warrior was the response to shaman, and now we are seeing the rise against these decks lol.
On a side note: I'm currently working on a highlander paladin deck which if it proves viable I'll pop a list up for :)
I don't get Pirate warrior or how it can get to legend. It relies so heavily on RNG and synergy to do anything. You draw badly, might as well conceed turn 2.
It seems good only when you draw weapon in your first three turn if not it gets wrecked by every deck out there.
Face Hunter on the other hand only cares about going face, not so much synergy, hero power keeps steady pressure and lots of spells that ignore board or taunts. By comparaison Pirate Warrior feels like a lottery deck where you need the Legendary weapon or RNGesus on your side.
great deck, it is legend viewable for sure.
