Anka: if you don't have Anka in this deck, there will be games that you lose and otherwise would have won. She lets you convert your unplayable 9 mana Anubisath Warbringers into playable 1 mana cards. That said, she is your backup plan, not your main win condition. Also, her use is extremely niche and there's a fair chance Necrium Apothecary will be nerfed in January. I'd say: try this deck without her for a few days, see if you enjoy it--if you do, think about crafting it to increase your winrate; otherwise, move on.
Flik: again, he's not directly tied to your win condition, and you should still win most of your games without him. He's the reverse of Anka, though: he doesn't greatly synthesize with this deck, but he has ubiquitous utility that fits well in pretty much any deck. At his worse, he's a Vilespine Slayer that doesn't need an activator; at best, he can utterly destroy decks like Shivalla and Pogo. I anticipate him getting comparable levels of play to Zilliax and Miscreant. I'd say: if you think you're going to play Rogue a lot for the next year then craft him, but the con is that he's not going to increase your winrate for this particular deck as much as Anka will.
UPDATE: I looked at some actual data on HsReplay. It looks like Anka has a winrate around 67%, around as much as Apothecary. Keep in mind a lot of that is "win more"--e.g., you play Blade on 3, Apothecary on 4, Anka on 5, and your opponent just concedes; Anka didn't really win that game, she just ended it quicker. Conversely: Flik has a slightly below average winrate (~50% versus the average ~55%), but I think a lot of that is "lose less"--e.g., you're in a hole, you play Flik to remove a threat, and sometimes that edges out a win and sometimes it doesn't.
True. Someone was telling me this was a meme deck.. so for some reason I'm hesitant to craft the expensive stuff but it looks fun and possibly climb worthy?
should i craft flik or anka?
both
Should I craft Anka? Or is there a replacement? Some say the Welp Version is more consistent and better but not sure.
i just did and played 5:0 (rank 4) to this point. started playing rouge few days ago, so the deck seems to be good ;).
anka was played each match and had enormous impact. i think there is no replacement :/
Yes, imagine for instance how terrible it would be to destroy the opponent's Necrium Apotheracy, the other copy of and potentially before the deathrattle gets abused.
it would also destroy your own apothecary though. and that would stop the opponent from triggering their deathrattle. your trying to see a unlikely event of your apothecaries going off before your opponent's and then you destroying theirs. what im trying to say is that your example sucks and doesnt prove that flik is good.
Flik is amazing card for any rogue deck. I bet you are a 15 rank noob
Good lord this is fun.
I feel like the game is fun again after dying to shamans for a week straight. Get the legendary, it boosted my win rate by 50% with the anub combo
It might be fun for you, but your on the other side this time. Its very unfair to play against this, if you coin apothecary on turn 3 and you have no silence the game is lost.
Such bad game design, a 4 mana that can cheat out he deathrattle of a 9 mana. Blizzard lost a lot of customers with this expansion.
Rightfully so, how the testing team did not pick this up is ridiculous. THe shaman power level was insane and they should've seen this in testing. But creating a 4 mana card that can cheat out deathrattles is stupid. This will also deny any good neutral/rogue deathrattle cards untill apothecary rotates out or they nerf it.
Yes. The idea is to buff them using the Apothecary/Anubisath method. Instead of 1/1 pirates, potentially - you could have 10/10 pirates (depending on how many times you're able to trigger the deathrattle.)
This deck brought me from raank 15 to 5 in two days. very underrated deck. The best deck for shaman counter. 90% wr against shaman for me. Sucks against hunter but with good luck and hitting buffs on heal cards you can take him by a chance.
I placed in two acolyte's of pain. Seem to have better draw. Be careful on buffing them tho...
Played 7 matches, 0 wins. If you dont have the luck to draw the Necrium Apothecary, you're dead by turn 7. Great idea, but it didn't work for me. Maybe i'm too unlucky :(
0-4 here....don’t want to drop any further...moving on. I’ve seen better versions, like that have Spirit of the Shark in it. I’ll try one of those.
spirit of the shark in this deck? nah man.
Bloodsail flybooter?????????????????????????????????????????????????????
another rank 15 idiot doesnt understand how deck works
no carpet? Seems too greedy with 4x draw cards. Also sunfury protector is a bad card here.
