If you want to perform well with this deck, I strongly recommend reading the guidelines carefully! It will probably be much more efficient than the trial and error approach.

I hope you will enjoy the deck! If you have any feedback or want me to add something in the guide, please leave a comment.

Hello everyone, this is Myu. I theorycrafted my Embiggen Druid before the release and started playing it from rank 5. After some refinement, I arrived at this rush-heavy version at rank 3. From rank 3 to legend, I had 70% winrate using this version exclusively.

Here is a video of me beating Firebat with an earlier version of this deck (look at his facial expressions XD):

Basic Idea

This deck revolves around a single powerful card: Embiggen. In order to get the most value out of it, the deck should mostly consist of minions. Without spells such as Swipe and Wrath, we need rush minions to control the board. The strategy of this deck is to play Embiggen as early as possible and overwhelm the opponent with powerful minions. Since we do not have any tools for tempo swing, it is very important to play on curve and avoid wasting mana. Try to plan ahead what to do in the next few turns.

Card Choices

If you are missing some of the cards, consider these replacements: Faerie Dragon, Evasive FeywingCountess Ashmore, Ysera, Ysera, Unleashed

Acornbearer: Very helpful for playing on curve. 1/1 can be used for Faceless Corruptor.

Strength in Numbers: After playing Embiggen, this sidequest pulls out at least a 4/4. High-rolling a 6+ mana minion usually wins the game instantly.

Firetree Witchdoctor/Vulpera Scoundrel: Any means of increasing the probability of getting Embiggen is good. They also make up for the lack of spell removals of this deck.

Vicious Scalehide: A great source of healing. After being buffed by Embiggen, it typically heals 6 with a 3/5 body, which is what you would expect from an unbuffed Zilliax.

Frizz Kindleroost: Although there are only 6 dragons in this deck, Frizz Kindleroost does make a difference. For example, after playing Embiggen once, we cannot play a 7-mana Emerald Explorer and a 4-mana Vulpera Scoundrel on the same turn, resulting in wasted mana. Frizz reduces wasted mana on average.

Batterhead: When the opponent’s board is filled with lackeys, elementals, or beasts, not having any AOE spell becomes a real pain. Batterhead resolves such situations with its attack frequency, allowing the minions we already control to go face.

Mulligan

Unless you have Embiggen in hand, do not keep ANYTHING except Breath of Dreams (not even dragons). Getting Embiggen is more important than ramping up on turn 2. Always keep in mind that the earlier we play Embiggen, the more likely we will win.

If you start with two Embiggen, keep both. Play only one copy on turn 1. Do not play the second copy until you are holding cards that can be played on turn 4, 5 and 6.

Discover

Spell

Unless you are looking for something specific for the immediate situation, follow this priority:

Embiggen>Breath of Dreams (early on)>Removals>Others

Dragon

Unless you are in a desperate situation trying to regain board control, choose the greediest option (such as Emerald Explorer, Ysera, Ysera, Unleashed). If you are not ahead playing against Shaman, choose Deathwing. When Shaman plays Galakrond, the Tempest or Shudderwock to summon two 8/8s, it is usually very hard to deal with as Druid. Deathwing has single-handedly won me a few games against Shaman.
