changed day 4
Most versions of Highlander Hunter have Zul'jin. Viable without him? Haven't, and dont want to craft card that will go to wild soon.
Sorry but this deck is weak. I had win rate around 70% at the first day. Now im losing absolutly everything.
Weak deck. Can't clear big boards and doesn't put enough pressure for an early lethal against control. Secrets don't do much against all the big minions in this meta.
Welcome to midrange anything
yeah i saw it after day 3 i just have a winrate about 44%
day 1-2 i have a winrate about 82%
Yup, did that, works nicely!
What cards did you guys add? instead of the secret set ?
That will decrease the value of Zul'Jin. Is he still worth it then?
Hi Guys. I have this cards but i dont have Veranus. And i dont want to craft it,it is necessary? Or i cant climb in rank without him?
Hey guys,
This is propably the only reno deck I had the dust to craft and since I consider reno decks the most fun in hearthstone its kinda sad but what can a F2P guy do huh. I replaced Veranus with Faceless Corruptor which seems to be verry strong in the expac so I thought there is no reason not to include it too.
I made a showcase of this deck if you want to check it out. I had nice first game where I actually was a reno mirror, he was playing mage though which I generally consider not a bad matchup for the hunter but not really sure since we played the expac so little so far and even though I made a slight misplay going face carried me a lot :D
If you want to check it out the video is bellow and I hope you guys enjoy it :)
I'd say drop the secret package entirely and run more early game minions/dragons. Drop the bow and use the new Hammer that doesn't lose durability.
What can we throw in for aggro? All I am playing is aggro
You can throw in a control warrior.
Hunter sucks against aggro. You can only win with hunter if you have the tempo yourself. This deck already runs every AOE option you have and there aren't really good taunts that you can add.
this deck will evolve into even better version, i'm sure.
try Bad Luck Albatross to counter other highlanders. those decks can use many tech cards, and those stats are great for this hunter deck.
i don't have the new dragon, should i use Dragonbane ?
Which one? Alexstrasza is very very good, massive tempo swing late in the game. Veranus is solid especially with Unleash the hounds. You probably could be okay with veranus but it is just a very good protective battlecry and the stats are very aggressive as well. I have actually swapped out poacher and put in dragonbane in, he does more than poacher does.
I don't know what I am doing bad but 8 games and 6 loses... Looks like good but probably it isn't... From 18 to 20 rank
EDIT 1: 15 games - Wins 7 / 8 loses.
EDIT 2: 22 games - Wins 12 / 10 loses.
EDIT 3: 25 games - Wins 15 / 10 loses. Earn rank 15.
I am at rank 10 currently and going the hell up very fast with this version. I have faced Gala Priests, Quest Shammans, Gala Shammans, Dragon Druids, Quest Druids only however. Only card i am missing is Veranus which i have replaced it with Evasive Wyrm which does a great job for me.
Awesome deck!
Edit: Rank 9
I ran your list but instead of the dragonmaw poacher I ran Dragonbane.. it is such a solid card at almost anytime in the game. Mid game it can absolutely close out your opponent.
Was tempted, literally been playing for a day now and haven't had a good poach.... reckon it is worth it for the long run?
dragonmaw poacher was only added day 1 cause i expactet a lot of dragons so it seems the perfect tech card for me
