Ehy guys,
This list is a Quest pally, if you like that comment and rate this deck
Crystology is the fast engine to draw the 5 Reborn minion that you need to find for unlock the quest, and also tutor the Acolyte of Pain who still cycle
Murmy, Temple Berserker and Micro Mummy are tutored draw for Cristology
Mechano-Egg and Mechanical Welp are the tool after you unlock the new heropower,
Bad Luck Albatross, Kangor's Endless Army and Da Undatakah are the tools to challenge control deck (denied them 2 or more draws - Flood you battleside)
Just remember to have not a tunnel vision on copying only Bad Luck Albatross for a meme thing, for sure denied them 2 draws is pretty powerfull, but also is a slow play.
Lightforged Blessing is a target for prismatic lens and maybe have a big miniot at low cost; also this card is a tool to hold long fights and the Lifesteal is copyed by quest hero power
Zilliax is everywhere and also is a magnetic for welp/egg, with Annoy-o-Module
Bone Wraith and Ancestral Guardian are the tools to made your quest work and help you to hold the mid early game.
Shrink Ray is a tool to stop big dragons that you must find with DoD, then you can rebuild your bot with a lot of taunts
Siamat is to be an extra difensive tool because I will not play tirion for the deathrattle, and also is a god target who can be copied (2/2 with divine shield-rush-taunt-windfury are pretty boring to take out)
You should must Hard Mulligan to find Crystology and this is a must to hold, then you should hold every minion of 1-2 cost
Remove to your starting hand every 5 cost cards or more, the twinspell spell and the albatross.
Acolyte is pretty good in starting hand if you are vs control-mid.
You should finish the quest around turn 5-6 like the old quest paladin.
For the first days you could play probably Dragonmaw Poacher instead Shrink Ray
EDIT swapped Shrink Ray with Consacration, to many aggro. If meta start to be slow i will put them back
EDIT 2 this is a ShamanStone so i'm playing -1 consac -1 lens -1 kangor army for +2 shrink ray +1 acolyte. I'm still thinking to add a second shrink for a consac or a 4/2 lifesteal.
Edit 3: meta is a bit faster swappinf undertaker and siamat for kangor army and general sky
Guys what would you recommend to replace Da Undatakah? Running low on dust, thanks!
Against Priest its Auto Concede. They just kill / silence everything.
First of all, I like how the only DoD card in here is Bad Luck Albatross lol. This is by far my favorite deck so far. Played 10 games with it, lost 2. I cannot stress how important Shrink Ray is versus Galakrond Quest Shaman. If they get off Dragon's Pack early, then you're pretty much screwed without Shrink Ray and Consecration won't help you. I will say that it is IMPERATIVE you get Emperor Wraps as quick as possible since this will pretty much secure you the game with your infinite Mechano-Egg and Mechanical Whelp combos. I removed Kangor's Endless Army because it was turning into a dead card. Two games in a row I used it and it summoned two Micro Mummy's, so I replaced it with another Shrink Ray because of all the Quest Shaman's I went against. Out of the 10 games I faced 8 Quest Shaman's, so for now, Shrink Ray is a must have in my opinion. Let me know what you all think.
This could be a good idea, kangor could be pretty much value in a Control meta, i will swap the kangor with shrink, ty for the tip
Keep in touch after nerfs, this deck has so damn potential
I'm finding Bad Luck Albatross to be pretty bad in this deck in higher ranks. It has good stats but compared to what other people are playing, it's meh, which kinda sucks because he is the only DoD card in the deck and I really enjoyed playing him. I saw a priest run it and it was pretty OP. Since I wanted the deck to be competitive, I ended up replacing him for Khartut Defender which has increased my win rate significantly, and it also synergizes with Making Mummies and Da Undatakah which helps with all the aggro decks in this meta, especially Quest Shaman. I've ended the game with full health 3 times already. I also took out one Shrink Ray for another Consecration because mostly what all people are playing are lackey's and murlocs it seems, so it's good to have that board clear on turn 4. I've won 4 games in a row so far, I will post stats later this week and tell you how it's going.
@bojak I accidently posted it on a wrong deck lol
You sure you talking about the right deck my dude?
This is deck is pretty good against control decks with lots of removal, but not against decks against 'steamrolling cards' like the new Warlock Legendary Dragon that summons non-stop 6/6 dragons, as this deck has literally no direct removal (except kinda zilliax).
Unluckly is a problem for the class, if wasn't for shaman i would rush shrink ray x2 instead x2 consac, also i'm trying a list atm who have +1 acolyte of pain +1 shrink ray and - albatross - 1 prismatic lens; work a little better in this fast meta but also is troubling a lot to hold shamanstone (68% playrate lel) Probably i will edit the list this afternoon.
Unluckly for the list, it must wait a month or two, just for wait a nerf to mogu 3/4 and shaman quest.
I think this deck still solid, but not in a so damn fast meta
Just take this list in mind
Fun deck, I used to play the non-albatross version a lot. However, right now I'm queuing 70% of my games against quest galakrond Shaman, and lost every single game against it.
RIP SHAMANSTONE, let's see after the nerfs
For everyone who is following this post:
I linked a gameplay by Kadakk to the list if you want see how this deck work
Hey guys! Im a big fan of quest paladin myself and tried to play it in the past on competitive level in masters tour qualifications and I got top 10 with in the beginning in the new expa (the one where got the q introduced)
I was very happy to see this deck and I have to admit shuffling albatros into your oponnents deck is pretty fun and in my case it was also game changing and I was able to defeat prolly the most broken deck atm meaning quest/gala shaman even though it was real close.
I made a video featuring the deck trying to explain how u deal with things with this deck a win games! So if you want to watch the vid and learn something about the deck I will be happy if you do so.
Hope you can enjoy and see you guys :)
Ehy man, glad that you liked this list.
Also if you gonna check some others spicy ideas, check my other decks.
(Not every deck is good, something was created before i could see every cards or was just a spine for some other deck)
If i could tell you maybe check the aggro priest (more meme but i played a similar type last months) or the wax lackey rogue (for sure much solid)
Also i'm gonna tell you that every list you will see is on theorycraft, i'vent updated them/not sure i could try every of them for lack of dust
"For the first days you could play probably Dragonmaw Poacher instead Shrink Ray"
this one is really funny =)
Have great times with this deck, thanks!
You are welcome, man
I played someone in low ranks on ladder with this - didn't feel like it did enough to keep up with the tempo that DoD cards are putting out. I was even piloting highlander hunter - probably the best deck for this given that Albatross turns off Zeph and Alex - and it still didn't come close to keeping up with the high tempo plays I was putting out.
Not sure why this is rated so high. There is no defense against early pressure/aggro.
I just replaced 2 shrink ray with Concecration and usually it's enough.
This deck has a lot of sticky early minions and taunts and heal so games against aggro have positive winrate..
