Note: You must be very aware of what your opponent is playing to have success with this deck. It is designed specifically to beat top-tier wild decks.
Some features of this deck:
- No Duplicates: Reno Jackson and Zephrys the Great are the core of this deck. Without them, you could fall short in a lot of situations. Secret Mage and Mech Hunter are the decks that you should look for these cards in your opening hand.
- N'Zoth Package: N'Zoth, the Corruptor works well with Shudderwock. I typically play N'Zoth before Shudderwock, but sometimes you'll need to play Shudderwock first. Use your best judgement. N'Zoth brings back (2) copies of Khartut Defender if its reborn died, Sylvanas Windrunner, White Eyes (be careful not to shuffle multiple copies into your deck to ruin your highlander status), and Rotten Applebaum. Not only do these deathrattle minions slow down aggro opponents early game, but they can generate so much value in a control game by being resummoned my N'Zoth multiple times.
- Silence/Transform Tech: Earth Shock, Plague of Murlocs, Devolve, Hex, and Spellbreaker work well for beating control decks, but are mostly intended for beating Mech Paladin.
- Weapon Tech: Gluttonous Ooze is a nice card for dealing with Secret Mage, Odd Rogue, and the occasional Pirate Warrior
- Board Clears: Lightning Storm, Sandstorm Elemental, Volcano, Earthquake, Shudderwock, and Hagatha the Witch.
- Secret Tech: Necessary for climbing in this meta. Kezan Mystic and Eater of Secrets will really surprise your opponent.
- Shudderwock Package: Shudderwock is a great card for winning control vs. control games. Assuming you play every battlecry card, you will deal (4) damage to their minions, heal your face back to full, summon every deathrattle minion that died, make their spells cost (5) more, silence a minion, steal one of their secrets, destroy all of their other secrets, add a random copy of a minion back to your hand (Zola the Gorgon), summon a minion from their hand (Dirty Rat), destroy their weapon, replay your horror's battlecry (Swampqueen Hagatha) and add a new horror to your hand.
Overall, I think this deck is worth a shot if you have the cards. You probably don't need White Eyes or Swampqueen Hagatha, but I find them useful enough to include.

Gonna take it for a spin!
Thanks for the fun looking deck, and great explanation! +1
I've only played a couple games so far, but it seems pretty fun (replaced White Eyes with Sludge Belcher cuz I don't have him).
First game was a Pogo Rogue, he quit after the constant Khartut Defender and Sludge Belcher taunts kept blocking him.
Second game was against a Reno Mage (he managed to get 4 Zephrys that game). Still managed to win by out-valuing his resources, so that was pretty fun.
Gonna actually try this in Ranked, see how that goes.
Nice deck. The tech and clears gives a strong feel to pilot. Put in Antique Healbot for additional heals and a place to stick Zilliax.
Spellbreaker is pushing it when it comes to good battlecries for a shudderwock deck. Until a minion is printed that says silence an enemy minion will we ever see it get play.
Shieldbreaker.
Ok, it silences only enemy minions with taunt, but it addresses enemy minions.
I love the deck and explanation, I will try it :)
This deck is fun! I replaced Sylvanas Windrunner with a Sludge Belcher because aggro decks got me a lot of times. Seems to work fine :). Or do you have a better suggestion for it?
Nice deck!
Deathlord also could be a good choice, as you can play him at T3. When Deathlord pulled a minion on your opponents side, you hopefully have an AOE in your hand at T5 ;-)
When you meet Secretmages, Deathlord also can help to catch the Explosive Runes.
That's actually a pretty good suggestion! I wanted to replace Sylvanas with a deathrattle/taunt card that I could play earlier. Deathlord should be able to stall the aggro damage a bit until I can play the board clears. Thanks mate!
Hmmmm. The problem is that normal renolock or controllock can easily outvalue this deck if you don't play your shudderwock with high value and fast enough. Also there is no draw for this deck which is bad
Interesting, because I usually don't have problems with renolocks. Just keep Hex, Plague of Murlocs and Devolve for their Voidlord or Mal'Ganis and you should be fine.
I run a similar decklist, but with Antique Healbot and Storm Chaser instead of Swampqueen Hagatha and Hagatha the Witch.
Antique Healbot can help too, if you don't have Reno Jackson or Healing Rain at the right time (especially against Secret Mage) and Storm Chaser helps to draw a strong AOE from your deck. Rank 3 was easy with this list.
Great deck and explanation!
