This deck is good against the many N'Zoth decks in the current meta because it can do 30+ damage over the top. With Corrupt the Waters, Ancient Mage is like a cheaper Malygos.
The OTK takes 2x Ancient Mage + 3 of the 1-cost damage spells (either Lightning Bolt for 11 damage or Totemic Smash for 10).
One tick of Emperor Thaurissan discounts it to be playable in a single turn.
It's also possible to load the Ancient Mages into a Shudderwock and then use either Thaurissan or the coin to hero power and trigger Shudderwock twice.
(I tried an earlier version with Mossy Horror and 2x Quicksand Elemental. With the hero power, that can fully wipe your opponent's board and often wipe it again with Shudderwock. I took it out so that Shudderwock can more consistently serve as a double Ancient Mage +8 spell damage, which makes it possible to play the Ancient Mages more freely earlier on to strengthen a Lightning Storm).
The deck uses a Control Shaman base, with Witch's Brew, Lightning Storm, Hagatha's Scheme, and Earthquake to survive until the late game. It also has a lot of card draw through Novice Engineer, Questing Explorer, and Witchwood Piper.
Leave a comment if you have an idea to improve it. :)
Sounds hilarious! I'm glad someone finally hired the old bastard.
