I got stuck at rank 5 playing the most common tempo mage these days. Switched back to this one that I remembered from last year, and I promptly won 6 in a row. It always pays to switch up a few cards anyway, but if you get stuck like I did, try this one out. 
If you show interest, I’ll write up a full guide of what I’ve encountered. 
Short/Quick game plan, though: if you can, save at least one Apprentice for the final blow with reduced spell costs: Frostbolt, Roaring Torch, and/or Fireball.
