Tons of cool combos in this deck, I really think this could be T1 as I have an insane winrate with it, though the meta is quite new. Pulling out Highkeeper Ra from the Glinda + Cultist is a quite fun and a reliable win condition. Other alternative win conditions such as the strong Betrug or Dollmaster + Plot Twist (or any draw), or the N'Zoth board fill allow for a flexible game plan if you can't pull off the Mogu. You also have plenty of deathrattle taunt heals to sustain throughout the game, they even come back with N'Zoth.
This brand new archetype is powerful, N'Zoth has changed the meta completely.
Run 2x Plot Twist because the benefit of an early playable Zephrys isn't worth cutting a duplicate of another Plot Twist.
Hard mulligan for the low cost early cards that aren't tied to late game combos & Plot Twist. Always keep Quest of course.
- Mogu Combo Guide -
This is an alternative win condition in matches where it's a value fest. This deck stands on its own without it, but this is needed icing on the cake that allows it to win matchups it shouldn't. Ignore the combo in matchups where you wouldn't survive long enough to pull it off or would already win without it. This decision is super matchup dependent, so I won't write a guide on matchups just yet in such a fresh meta. If you don't use this combo you can still do Glinda + Mogu (or crabs) + Plague of Flames as a great late game board clear in this meta of board fillers.
SETUP: Draw Glinda with completed quest. If you draw Glinda already, use Baleful Banker to shuffle it back into your deck when you're cardless, then use hero power to draw her (this deck runs out of cards quite quickly).
COMBO: Next turn, 0 mana Glinda --> 6 mogus --> Grim Rally on Glinda ==> Mogu and that summons Highkeeper Ra.
HIGHROLL COMBO: If you used your quest hero power and happened to get Glinda at 0 mana, you can skip the turns of setup and have more mana leftover after the combo. When you pull off the Mogu combo, you have Baleful Banker for another RA later in the game, who could be discounted to 0.
Why Mogu Cultist?
I made a quick write up of the combo in the description. It basically serves as an extra optional win condition. You would run any supporting combo card in the deck anyways (Ex. Glinda is great with Zeph, or save it for low minion like the useless Mogu Cultist to clear board with Plague of Flames). With all these late game value decks with N'Zoth walls and super fast pace decks like Evolve Shamans, a combo deck needs to be versatile enough to win against the gameplans of both. Ditching the cultist route allows for that versatility.
Thank you for the deck looks promising, can you please add video game play if you can. Thank you in advanced.
Can you please write about the combo with Glinda and Mogu Cultist? Because not so sure about it as i never played it. Glinda on Board and then Mogus and then remove Glinda with Brewmaster and do we need plague of flames ? or if 7 Mogus on board they sacrifice themselves?
Good question! I should have elaborated more for those new to the archetype. I'm gonna edit the post now with an in-depth explanation of the combo.
Thank you for the fast reply , I had a crazy game now with a Priest I summoned RA and he copied it and destroyed mine, later with Nzoth, I had 2 Sylvanas when he played RA i took his... and won
Thank you for the funny moments :)
