BETTER SECRET PALLY -> https://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1311540-mysterious-secret-pally DONT RUN Zilliax IT SUCKS, BUT RUN IT IF U PLAY SN1P-SN4P AND FIND A SLOT FOR 1 Spellbreaker.
This is by no mean the best version of secret pally atm, but the deck is budget/accesible for most players. I did reached a legend(EU) rank quite early with it. Use this deck to climb from rank 2 to legend in 3.5 hours(10/10/2019). This deck is quite similar to tempo rogue, but you have less tempo/face damage and more buffed big minions simi-aggro midrange feels. Big advantage of this vs tempo rogue are hunter/warrior/control matchup are much better since Mysterious Challenger give a big turn-6 power swing. I tested other version such as secret semi-highlander that is less aggresive as well as secret-mech version, but this deck works the best for me. The deck is very solid and cheap, but the deck hurts alot more than other deck if you drew badly.
Playstyle: Don't always go face value trade could be good especially vs hunters/murlocs. Since you have a very few minions in the deck, hero power is actually quite good. Try to plan turns ahead and keep a minions alive for Blessing of Kings. Sometimes it is good to not press hero power depending on your secrets (mostly lategame, gain as much tempo as you can in early game) Make sure you play right secret depending on the situation. Also, secret order matters. In tempo matchup It is better to play Autodefense Matrix first than Noble Sacrifice. Noble Sacrifice has the most value most of the time since it combo with Avenge so try to play other secret first if you can.
Overall Mulligan: Look for Secretkeeper and Sunreaver Spy. Don't keep secret if you don't have synergy cards. Keep Mysterious Blade if you know is it a tempo matchup.
I even keep Mysterious Challenger in some matchup since it is so insane. There are specific cards to mulligan in some matchup that I will highlighted below only if you really know what the opponent is playing.
Matchup:
- Druid: Ok to bad matchup. If you highrolled good secrets+secretkeeper it is a win. There are not a lot of cards that can clear it.
- Hunter: Very good matchup. Will win most of the time even if they run flare.
- Mage(Flamewaker): Very good to ok matchup, but if they highroll with cyclone/girl/flamewaker they will win. Try to save Truesilver Champion charges. Save Spellbreaker to unfreeze your minions and push face damage if you can.
- Paladin(otk): Very Good matchup. Try to save some cards and plan turns ahead for Mysterious Challenger. KEEP(if it is otk) Mysterious Challenger
- Paladin(Mirror/Murloc): Ok to bad matchup. Try to get Mysterious Blade. Murloc highrolled with lense = loss.
- Priest(Combo): Ok to bad matchup. If you start first and get the board = win.
- Priest(Quest/Control): Very good matchup. KEEP(if it is control) Spellbreaker.
- Shaman: Ok to bad matchup. Try to get Mysterious Blade. Mostly 50-50 if we both played fair, then we will win. If they played evolve then we lose. Just nerf mogu already blissard.
- Warlock(Control): I didn't faced alot of them, but I think it is a very good matchup. I lost once because super highrolled.
- Warrior(Control): Very Good matchup. Try to plan turns ahead for their clear cards(Warpath/Restless Mummy/Dynomatic/Brawl). You don't want to press hero power in the late game. ALWAYS KEEP Mysterious Challenger in all situation who plays tempo warrior anyway .
- Rogue(Quest/Tempo): I have never seen such a bad matchup in hearthstone since freeze mage vs control warrior. Try to plan for juicy Never Surrender! since it will proc most of the time. If they get backstab/lackey/si/edwin start it is gg. If Secretkeeper is alive somehow you can snowball and smorc them down or you can just concede to save your time xD. You can consider running Hidden Wisdom too.
Upgrade:
-2 Candletaker then +1 Commander Rhyssa and +1 SN1P-SN4P (you might as well add Zilliax too for magnetic combo)
If u faced alot of shaman(you will) you can experiment with +1 Hungry Crab and -1 Spellbreaker. If you really hate them -1 Blessing of Might then add another Hungry Crab. You might as well run 2 Crystology and atleast 5 one attack minion version(2 secretkeeper/2crab/...) or you could run only 1 Crystology with (2secretkeeper/2crab). Hidden Wisdom is really good vs tempo matchup, but close to useless and it will eat 1 secret spot in control matchup. Tirion Fordring or Ragnaros the Firelord are probably the best heavy drop card to put in the deck. I found out that Dread Corsair is not that consistent and probably bad card in the deck. I will update a new version if I can.

Enjoy the deck. If you have a suggestion or question feel free to ask me. I will answer if possible.
EDITED: Sup, you made it this far. I'm sorry to tell you, but this version won't be updated anymore with all shamans running around this is not the best version. Also, I feel like it is not right to just made an update version on this thread. I will still make a new thread for a secret pally if the winrate is sucessful. I will still answer your questions if possible. Cheer!
I appreciate giving credit to my deck. I would love to hear why you decided to cut the crystology, brazen zealot, and beaming sidekick package, especially when they are pretty cheap too. I can see why you included dread corsairs (I even suggest running this instead of rhyssa in my version as a replacement), blessing of might, spellbreakers, additional copies of noble sac and redemption, but candletaker seems a little odd to me. I guess it would be a great redemption target but beyond that I can't really understand why you choose to use it.
As for your comments on my deck, I agree spellbreaker is definitely a good substitute if you are facing a lot of nzoth priests, but I don't really understand why you found ziliax to be a bad card, it's very good in board centric matchups and has synergy with pretty much all secrets. I found snip snap to be a little too slow to make the cut, but I can see you promoting it for the magnetic synergy with ziliax, i actually did run both in my old version.
Sup! I'm apologize for the late reply. I didn't get to play as much lately. Your version is definitely better with crystology packages. Originally, I thought crystology will force you too much to run 1-attack minions which are less impactful when drawn later on and brazen zealot is not as good if you can't protect it. I tested the crystology packages and they seems to do better for overall consistency as well as giving more flexibility on curve. I don't have Commander rhyssa and snipsap, so I included the candletakers as a cheap choice since I don't have any 3-drops or the crystology packages. My original idea was like how the old secret paladin works, you try to take the board by using sticky minion on curve to build up a strong turn for mysterious challenger. Zilliax is indeed quite good as a standalone card and along with secrets synergy, but I found it too slow vs all those shamans running aroud the ladder and I didn't find myself to need heal that much. The moment I need heal, the board is already get taken by opponent and I can't do much with zilliax alone. The card play winrate is pretty low too, lowest in the deck actually.
I made a new version of this deck without spellbreaker and I included rhyssa, sn1p sn4p, zilliax, and ragnaros. Currently 3-0 but I have yet to try it in ranked. Is there any replacement for Blessing of Might? It seems like a decent card but idk.
I still recommend to run atleast 1 silence in the deck and as for blessing of might it actually provides quite high played winrate against slower matchup, but it is indeed pretty bad vs tempo not to mention that there are a bunch of shamans on the ladder right now. You can replace it with hungry crab(don't craft it tho u better off run crystology package with Brazen zealot). Currently, I'm still testing new version with crystology quite similar to https://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1311540-mysterious-secret-pally which seems to work better. Keep this in mind that this is by no mean the best version of secret pally, but the keypoint here is it is budget.
Thank you for the answer. I'm still running spellbreakers they are actually so clutch against tempo mage and control decks. And overall I'm having a blast with this deck.
Even though it's a budget deck it feels like it can win against pretty much any deck. Only real problem I have is against quest shamans who run the evolve package, but sometimes I even beat those if I get a good start lol.
Really nice deck man! I love it a ton gonna keep playing it. Currently rank 13 in standard which is the highest I've ever gotten in standard before. I got to rank 5 in wild last season but ye :P
Glad you enjoy the deck! Shamans are really tough if they got the rabbit+mogu+evolve or useful lackeys. According to hsreplay this deck WR against shaman is 52.7% while the other version that I linked above(crystology) is more consistence and much better with 59.9% winrate which is a bit more expensive, but you can switch the expensive(useless after event rotation) card like Commander Rhyssa to SN1P-SN4P or just a Candletaker is fine too. Other popular matchups are also better and some are worse. If you really want to climb I recommend the other version. Good luck!
Swapped in Ragnaros and High Priest Thekal (always use when I have lifesteal on Pally) and have gone 3-0 so far
Nice! Glad you enjoy the deck. Feel free to play around with the deck if you see fit.
Why 2 spellbreakers?
There are quite a number of control deck running the 6-mana reborn guy/other strong deathrattle/taunts in n'zoth type deck (priest/warrior) in legend. It is almost a win auto win if u just waste their turn with spellbreaker. It is also quite decent against mage since they will usually try to slow you down with freeze. You can use spellbreaker to unfreeze your own minions and push face damage. However, It is almost useless vs other tempo matchup. You can change the card too if you face alot of tempo matchup(shaman/rogue/hunter/mirror). I still recommend you to run atleast 1 copy in the current meta.
EDITED: actually Shieldbreaker might be good too, but not too good vs mage.
Thank you. I really like this deck. Had some good results yesterday. I appreciate you taking the time to post it.
No problem. Glad you like the deck!
