Saviors of Uldum Guide
Total Deck Rating
I made some changes and it got a lot better. Check pls: https://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1301564-the-true-new-highlander
I've been playing something similar (might post later) but more focused on fighting for the board than getting back with mass removals. Aldor's, Spellbreakers etc help wonders.
Edit: I've also never ran out of threats, so the Immortal Prelate seems like an unnecessary liability.
Yap 100% agreed.
I made this before the expansion came out ( I expected more Mage and Warriors) and i also found there is no real need for the Prelate anymore. Either games are over too fast or vs Warrior eggs are enough. The only reason to run Equality is Priest, and Mage i faced them more often lately .
Didn't find a good quest yet...opened Pally and Warrior quest (horribles, all the way and i think they will still be horrible for more 2 exp at least)The battlecry shaman quest is only for greedy decks full of legendaries and other bullshit like shuddertrash, too expensive and can be nerfed anytime.Nice try dude, but bad deck on my rank.
So, my experience with the deck so far has been universally poor, not necessarily because of the design, but because Making Mummies can't compete in any way, shape, or form with the other quests. I played games against Rogue, Mage, Druid, and Shaman. In every case, there isn't enough board removal or protection from minions to either survive long enough to complete the quest and find Undatakah or create enough of a board to threaten them before they complete their quests and begin doing all the wonderful things that said quests can do. The Mage game can probably be dismissed as random chance, since he was also playing the new Yogg spell (multiple Blizzards), but the others take advantage of the main problem with all of these Reborn minions: by and large, they're too fragile to be useful.
A bunch of two Toughness minions is not that much of an obstacle for most of these decks because they're not that much different in Reborn state from the way they started (1 Toughness.) I had similar issues with a more aggro/midrange version of a Reborn deck, using mechs. Opponents can either run past them or remove them with minimal effort (Lackeys, etc.) and they don't do enough damage to threaten your opponent before they draw another 2-in-1 spell (Druid) or multiple Battlecry (Sandstorm Elemental) or similar multiple Battlecry (Spirit of the Shark.) The other downside to Reborn minions is that they don't change the game state when they arrive. They're just vanilla guys that you occasionally have to kill twice.
Admittedly, I'm not a real fan of combo decks, which this is, so maybe it's just not for me. But, again, the real problem I'm having with it isn't the concept. It's the quest. As I feared when I saw the preview, it's just not as good as the others because it takes too much setup time to too little effect.
Ok i except that. But for me this deck works fine so far . Maybe I only got lucky with my match ups. (Only Warrior Priest and Paladin)
Like I wrote in the other comments, I would suggest to cut Khartut Defender and one Questing Explorer for a second Bone Wraith and another Lay on Hands, maybe even a Countess Ashmore.
My last match was really fun against a Taunt Warrior, but of course if Druid and Shamans become the best combo aggro decks this style of deck is probably not suitable.
Would Da Undertaker even work with the hero power? Think he requires being played.
It should work, if not, it’s a bug by Blizzard.
The battlecry only defines what Deathrattle he gets, after that he’s a Deathrattle minion like Cairne. Stuff like Faceless Manipulator already works perfectly fine, and so should the Heropower.
You should drop Khartut Defender since it muddies the pool for Da Undatakah. It's a good deck idea though.
Yap, I thought about that quite some time and eventually he should be a second Bone Wraith.
But i already played that kind of deck with the Mechanical Whelpling, and surprisingly it almost always worked out. But yeah, cutting the defender is certainly better.
( edit: i played 10 games so far from rank 7to 5 and only lost one because the opponent Paladin yoloed out a Shirvalla for 25 dmg otherwise I had him crushed. Additional to the Karhut Defender i took out one Questing Explorer , for another Lay on hands . Not sure about that but I felt I needed more draw , and it’s also nice for Shirvalla.
And oh yeah my last opponent was a Bomb Warrior with no new cards and I crushed him . Endless Undertakers are nothing to laugh at:)
I think you need to 2 mana spell for buffing Undatakah with Lifesteal! It keeps all enchantments!! That way when you make 2/2 copies, they have it too!!
Yeah, I already tried that.
Its ok but not super good , the 2 mana spell is generally only good against Warrior on the undertaker and when they can’t silence him I generally won anyways. Even with Pyromancer it didn’t feel strong.

This is a great deck! :)
Good job, bro.

Its aimed to eventually copy the Undataker , so even if Control Warrior runs a silence, the second one is enough to carry the game. Before Sn1p Sn4p was a thing , that always was a free win for me. Also conjurers Mage is a decent matchup.
