Hey Guys

Corkthomas here.

Basically

This deck actually has a good amount of value! It brings together the old League of Explorers crew minus Elise. We got some really fun deathrattle toys in rogue last year! I'll post a highlight of this deck when I get a chance.

How to Play

This is a Reno deck, but there are some redundancies for consistency, including double battlecry Spirit of the Shark and Brann Bronzebeard which helps with cards like Shadowcaster, Coldlight Oracle (one of my personal favorites), Unearthed Raptor, and Elven Minstrel

The trick is kind of to trust that the value will come if you wait long enough. Against aggro, this deck obviously does quite poorly, but I did include some early game (including our favorite murloc Sir Finley Mrrgglton

As far as the deathrattle of it all, I included Loot Hoarder for draw, and picked Cairne Bloodhoof over Mechanical Whelp because I think the 8/10 statline is more impressive, and as a rogue you have to know how much fun it is to bug priest with 4 attack minions. I did also include some heals in the form of Mistress of Mixtures, and I was even considering switching out the Worgen Infiltrator for the Voodoo Doctor

Obviously the deck packs a lot of draw, including a Sprint which is probably interchangeable for Gadgetzan Auctioneer. Not to mention the freebie with Cavern Shinyfinder for the Necrium Blade

The real crown jewels are Sylvanas Windrunner and Ragnaros the Firelord because the deck includes a ton of mechanism to generate copies of them, including an infinite deck capability if you combine Gang Up and Lab Recruiter (just in case). You don't always need it, but it can be helpful against mill or fatigue decks.

Although Ragnaros and Sylvanas both pack a punch (especially with all the copy mechanisms), I did include N'Zoth, the Corruptor as a means of pushing should you suddenly need to flex a ton of value. Not to mention Emperor Thaurissan is a great way to enable copying him.

In case you run into the problem of running out of health but have too many cards in your deck, Myra's Unstable Element is an excellent activator for Reno Jackson

Mulligan

- Try to aim for the small minions at the start

- Cavern Shinyfinder is good because it will enable deathrattle synergy

- Reno Jackson is a must keep against many aggressive classes

- Card draw is really good, and there is a variety so pick your favorite for the match-up

- Remember to weight 1-cost cards as combo activators

- Don't be afraid to use the 0-cost spells in the early game, that's what they are for, as well as combo enabling.

Possible Adjustments Against Aggro

Come to think of it, maybe I should have squeezed in a Sludge Belcher, Safeguard, or Rotten Applebaum in order to slow aggro and make a wall for myself. It certainly would have helped against wall priest and odd paladin. I will count that as a possible modification if I ever start running into aggro on ladder.

Let me know what you guys think!

Again my philosophy isn't strictly to achieve high winrate but rather to have some spectacular hearthstone. It's not quite a fiesta deck because Malchezaar isn't invited but... still quite fun! Sorry Elise Starseeker, I don't think you can improve my deck with your golden monkey :/

Warmly ~~  🔥
