DoD update below. Could consider removing one hecklebot for Zilliax for magnetize opportunities.
Removed:
- Potion Vendorx2 - while this card is simply better than Voodoo Doctor, we now have better freeze and heal options available.
- Water Elementalx1 - replacing with better heal options
- Ice Barrierx1 - with the added healing from new taunts, one barrier is enough
Added:
- Ray of Frostx2 - 4 freeze spells in 2 card slots. This directly replaces Potion Vendor
- Khartut Defenderx2 - Reborn is awesome and the heal allows more freedom in the run and with other card choices
This is based off a budget freeze taunt mage build, but includes some more powerful rare and epic taunts from more recent expansions, such as Stonehill Defender, Tar Creeper, Dirty Rat and Hecklebot (since the boss has no deck their negative effect is negated).
Mulligan for Mirror Image and cheap taunts you can play by turn 3. Play your freeze spells defensively, saving Frost Nova for large boards. Try to discover a minion you can play the same or next turn with Stonehill Defender; or as in my one-shot, a Witchwood Grizzly can be a very effective discover. Too slow to put in the deck outright though.
Thanks, worked. Failed a few times but I subbed in two Wax Elementals and took out the goldshire footmen. The wax ele's can take two punches from big guys which seemed to work better for me.
