WELCOME!

You wanted to use Lock and Load in Spell Hunter, yet don't know how? Fear no more, my friend. Though Spell Hunter belongs to Wild due to rotations, with right choices, you will rock on!

HOW TO PLAY?

As said above, Spell Hunter belongs to Wild format due to rotations. Yet, some people might think that Spell Hunter will extinct just because of rotations? Well, fear more, as RoS actually raised the archetype far more than usual thanks to new cards: Marked Shot and Unleash the Beast. With Zul'jin, "5/5"s will be ready to strike, both in hand and the battlefield.

If you wonder how to play, keep on reading. This deck is far more value/swarm oriented than other Spell Hunter decks. Lock and Load refills if executed correctly. Secret Plan/Marked Shot refills with valuable cards. Rhok'delar refills your hand, too. In the end, play Zul'jin, and you will see that he will be just like 2nd Rhok'delar for you!

In short, this deck is very flexible when it comes to game-style. You can understand it even better if you check these cards:

  • Lock and Load: Ever wonder why 5-mana slot is empty, other than the fact that there aren't any 5-mana cards worth using? Sad to see that Spellstone is nerfed because it's used to be 5-mana. However, you can do shenanigans that are better than 5-mana pre-nerf-Spellstone. On turn 5, play Lock and Load>Secret Plan>Secret to refill your hand with new cards. That's why I like Lock and LoadIf you are lucky, you can get another Rexxar/Zul'jin/Rhok'delar, which is another reason why Spell Hunter rocks in Wild.
  • Zul'jinYou can swarm the board (Unleash the Beast/To My Side! etc.while refilling your hand (Secret Plan/Marked Shot/Flare). So, give it a try, and tell me if it works for you.
  • Lesser Emerald SpellstoneUpgrade and swarm the board with Zul'jin.

Here are my opinions as to why I didn't include these cards:

  • Tracking: I don't like discarding my tools.
  • Unleash the Hounds: I don't like Zul'jin summoning 1/1 dogs. Explosive Trap does the job better.
  • Wing Blast: Can be discounted to 1-mana, which is great. However, Marked Shot is better than this card.
  • Baited Arrow: Quick Shot is, without a doubt, better thanks to its cost. Also, how can you be so sure about summoning 5/5?
  • Crushing Walls: This card is super. Believe me, I tested it out before. However, it lowered my win-rate because it's expensive (7-mana) and it only worked out well vs Big Priests. If it was 6-mana, I would definitely add it. In short, not worth the dust.
  • Call of the WildJust like Crushing Walls, this card is super yet expensive. So, it's not worth adding it. If you Discover both, that will be amazing.
  • Barnes/Y'Shaarj: I'm not a person who likes to cheat 10/10 minion at 4 mana, period.

That's all for this deck. If you have any questions, feel free to ask, which I will be glad to help.
