Almost without fail, one of the first decks we build once a new expansion hits is a Hobgoblin Hunter deck. It seems like every expansion the deck gets yet another great tool. Looking back in time, some notable additions, The Marsh Queen to Toxmonger to Halazzi, the Lynx & Springpaw and now with the new card Magic Carpet. The Carpet, like the Toxmonger before it, buffs most of the same cards and happens to also get buffed by a Hobgoblin itself! The other new addition from Rise of Shadows is EVIL Cable Rat which provides two targets for Hobgoblin and depending on the lackey can be really strong with Toxmonger. Not every minion is a 1-drop here, the deck includes Annoy-o-Tron to protect our key pieces and Scavenging Hyena, which can quicky grow out control. Looming at the end of our curve is Deathstalker Rexxar, who acts as a great backup plan for when our opponent is able to recover from our big synergy turns.
