Hello! This is my take on spell rogue. I've had great fun playing it and I think it has potential to be a solid T2 deck. Went from rank 10-5 with 70% (21-9) WR. I love how funny it is to throw those 4* spell damage Fan of Knives or 6* dmg Sinister Strikes. Feels fresh after those annoying aggro rogues.
I do not run any Sap because this deck can draw quite well and often times you don't even need to pass through taunts when you can hit them for 15 dmg spell combos.
This is a fast deck though. It struggles against warriors mostly, but it's definitely doable with Arcane Watcher and Cold Blood.
Given that you most of the times need to fight for board early I've included EVIL Miscreant for early tempo boards. Edwin VanCleef combo-ed early can secure many games as well.
Try it out and let me know what you :)
5+ and I'll write a guide, cheers!
Here's my stats:

I'm 50/50 with this deck. What is a good substitute for Bloodmage Thalnos?
I've put Novice Engineer in his place, but I'm having a really hard time activating the Arcane Watcher without more spell damage.
Classic rule of thumb for subbing thalnos is: need carddraw? Loot Hoarder! need spell damage? Kobold Geomancer!

+ ancient mage
easy rank 3. Lets see how far I can go
0-4 murloc shaman has been wrecking it RIP
I ran in to one of these jokers running spell rogue on ladder a few days ago. I was trying a slightly handicapped (because I don't have all the cards for the "real" deck") version of control warrior.
The fella gave me a run for my money. He punished me with head crack over... and over... and over. When the dust settled, I had 4 health, no armor, when I got him to zero.
/salute, brave rogue, for trying something different and potentially awesome.
My very first game was bad, vs. some heal Druid and when I got him to below 10 hp, he got three taunts on board - the ones that revive, when healed for 5. Couldn'Ät break tzhrough it, sadly.
just tried it out turn 4 hunter was dead
-1 Acolyte of Pain
+1 Myra's Unstable Element
I won quite a few game with Myra as a last ditch option, with some minion on board you can deal 15-ish damage in one turn if you're lucky with the draw, you can use all your cards and have an instant refill for the next turn, might be worth it to keep it on mulligan.
gotta love it when myra's wins the game.
Where's the Malygos in this Malygos rogue? JK, nice deck.
Got from 10 - 5 with 19W 6L. Really good and fun deck

Cool deck. Love this archtype.
I replaced the Coldbloods for Violet Wardens, because I am a greedy bastard who don't want to craft them again, and because I wanted to build on the Spell Damage idea. It's works for me!
Been running this deck since day 1 of ROS.

Not sure why everyone is cashing it in now, did some streamer pick it up and not give any credit?
You can downvote me all you want. Check the dates, read MY guide (which is more than 5 sentences begging for upvotes).
Shitposting my reply doesn't change the fact that someone else is getting credit for my deck.
Hey there, no offense though, but why dint you build it in deck builder? Im pretty sure, that way less people reads forums, than the amount that checks the decklist. I dont get this attention hunting around a deck anyway, but no wonder why someone took your idea and it eventually ended up being ”famous". Next time maybe count with it. But i upvoted if it helps
Edit: By the way, there is not too many options in cards when we talk about this new kind of spell rogue, and the list becomes pretty much obvious, after you put two arcane watcher in there, you need spell power, a lot of card draws, and all the spells that can deal damage. Well, the list is pretty much abusing all cards of these criteries that are avaiable in the current standard. You dont need to be a genius to realize that, and im pretty sure this deck wasnt made from yours, the core cards of the deck are basicly coded to synergize with each other, and the other ones are different from yours... but its just my opinion.
My list is in deckbuilder and the forums. Hence why it has both a straight link and a thread. And no, many of the harder to figure out corner-tech cards are not as obvious as they might seem at first blush.
That said, I couldn't care less that someone else made front page with my deck. in fact that's why I posted it in the first place -- to get more people to try it. I just find it rather shotty to cut and paste someone else's list, throw in a few random off cards, and then downvote the guy who made the original.
He stealed your deck aswell then:

Same obvious (seems like im not the only 1 who thinks that), with some spin. Basicly your deck, but is modified, and it totally different, am i right?
Edit:
Forgot to mention, arent the "corner-tech" cards the actual different ones in each shot of these decks? Leads back to my first pointed out fact, why do you think it was copy paste?
We aren't talking about a metadeck which is going to be tightly hashed with thousands of people hounding the "perfect build". This is a true "rogue deck" where the key lines aren't as obviously spelled out. There are key cards that were included (and discluded) that make it painfully suspect where the core list came from. The OP list has a deviation of approximately 4 cards with a total of 3 cards that were never in my build with no other deviation in the main.
Your second example is actually what I would expect from a more experimental list. It features 9-10 deviant cards, misses some critical tech, and is instead working with a completely different aggro skein.
I sympathize with you because you gave a really great post with details on how to navigate this; it's not piloted as easily as it seems and it's off-meta enough to make it a lot of fun to play. Gave you my upvote which is all I can do :/
