I try to update my stats every day:
Btw I'm really confused why the guides on the homepage with extreme high win rate in the title doesn't have a screenshot as proof. And so many upvotes! Hmmm....
I found this deck on cocosasa's twitter. I had an amazing time playing this deck. If you don't like reading, you can watch the video and subscribe to my youtube channel by clicking HERE
Watch part 2:
Watch part 3 with some hsreplay stats explained:
This deck has a good early game with secrets on turn 1, Sunreaver Spy turn 2 is insane on curve. Good mid game with the annoying 4-drops, especially combined with Redemption. And huge late game cards with Tirion Fordring, Kangor's Endless Army, and much more! This deck really feels like a meta breaker! No Psychic Scream in standard, FeelsGoodMan! And I haven't seen any silences (yet).
My favorite cards to start while having the coin: Redemption on turn 1, afk on turn 2(don't hero power) watch the video and you know what I mean. Turn 3 coin out Bellringer Sentry. Turn 4 another Bellringer Sentry or Annoy-o-Module. If you have Hidden Wisdom instead of Redemption, you do press hero power of course. Or play Sunreaver Spy if you have it on turn 2.
Now without coin, you should go for 1 secret and always Sunreaver Spy and keep also any 4 drop IF you already have the 1 and 2 drop. But in slow matchups you still can keep the Bellringer Sentry, it's just the best card in this deck. It will thin out your deck, meaning a few steps closer to good top-decks!
Situational keeps: Aldor Peacekeeper is good against mage and warlock, because of Mountain Giant. Harrison Jones is good against rogue and warrior. Mysterious Blade is good against rogue, they have lots of 3 hp minions. Consecration is always a keep against druid.
Remember, if you have the worst secret during mulligan, which is Never Surrender! and you also have Sunreaver Spy, don't hard mulligan for another secret. That's too greedy! A secret is better than no secret at all!
I have won all my games without drawing Commander Rhyssa if I'm not mistaken. She can be replaced by an Ironbeak Owl, good against Edwin VanCleef, the only game I lost because of not running silence :( Countess Ashmore can be replaced by Hecklebot. This is very good against aggro and it's a mech! Not so good against control, but you already have the advantage against control matchups, so you don't have to play it while it's in your hand. Harrison Jones can be replaced by an Acidic Swamp Ooze, but keep in mind not to play this while Redemption is active. You need the Redemption for your 4-drops.
I hope this guide will help you to climb higher on ladder. Up-votes will motivate me to do more guides in the future. Good luck on ladder!
New freeze mage post: https://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1268917-freeze-mage-is-back
Have everything except Ashmore. Good replacement suggestion?
I used Undatakah (I know it has nothing to do, but I never use this card, so...)
cool. really bad against hunter tho
isnt it sad that decks become so predictable rank5 and up?
hmm if I cradt this deck , it will cost me 7k dust .... gotta think a lot before it that's a lot >> meta feels unstable right now even there is deck in meta already
but solo adventure isn't out and waiting is free :D
Fun deck, but with more control and big minions coming into the meta, I find that reducing secret reliance and having mechs that can be more proactive is an interesting twist. Now, I removed 1/3rd of the deck which may make it seem like it's a completely different deck, but it plays the same way and I feel it has a better chance against the bigger minions.
I have removed (12 cards):
Autodefense Matrix × 1
Hidden Wisdom × 1
Never Surrender! × 2
Aldor Peacekeeper × 2
Commander Rhyssa × 1
Blessing of Kings × 2
Bellringer Sentry × 2
Harrison Jones × 1
Which seems like it guts the deck, but I have replaced them with:
Desperate Measures × 2 (which covers a lot of the secrets, especially if you have redemption already)
Humility × 2 (for the Aldor Peacekeepers)
Skaterbot × 2 (to launch your mechs and when you (Kangor's Endless Army) it gives them rush
Call to Adventure x2 (which will draw and boost your skaterbots or your Sentries)
Prismatic Lens × 2 (which is where Humility is better than Aldor as it can give you a cheap minion for tempo and draws 2 cards)
Lightforged Blessing × 1 (with rush minions, you never go wrong with lifesteal)
Shirvallah, the Tiger × 1 (with the added Prismatic Lens, it gives a lot of cost reduction)
Now Countess Ashmore has 2 lifesteal minions, and 4 rush minions to draw for you. Sorry for posting here if this is too much change, but really, the meat and potatoes are the same and this gives a lot of possibilities as the meta shifts.
Have you whiffed on Prismatic Lens a lot and drawn Shirvallah, the Tiger? Seems like a big risk
I never view Prismatic Lens as a whiff. If I pull a skaterbot, I end up with a cheap spell. Something is getting discounted. The only real whiff is when you draw two things that are the same cost and you chalk it up as a 4 mana draw 2.
I always can discount Shirvallah with enough spells. I've casted an 8 mana Desperate Measures with Shirvallah at 9, cause I know it will discount it right away.
Well u made a midrange deck into a weird and way worse control deck. Nothing exiting tbh.
Why is it weird? And why is it worse? Have you actually tried it? This deck on it's own beats Control Shaman and Control Warrior decently well, but with these changes it becomes an auto-win. There's nothing wrong in changing a deck to suit the meta.
Any reason you are not running Desperate Measures does it not fit or just no room for it?
In any case love the deck!
Why even run Ashmore? At most she's gonna draw 2, but in a lot of cases you'll draw Zilliax before you get to play her making her a 7_mana draw 1. Isn't there a better replacement?
I was wondering that myself. Even thought about including some more rush or lifesteal minions, but there are just no good options for this deck and playstyle, in my opinion. I also thought about replacing with Prismatic Lens, not really sold though.
10 : 1 from 8 to 5 in 2 hours!! Top meta deck! 55% warri all killed :)
Edit: 15 : 2 to rank 4.
Edit 2: 23 : 4 85% winrate from rank 8 to 3! only loose vs lucky draw!
Can anyone share some experiences with playing Commander Rhyssa? I don't have her, and I'm kind of hesitant to craft her, as I'm not that convinced of her impact, and usability in other decks as well.
So, yay or nay?
I got her as my free legendary. And I misplayed a lot with her in the beginning. She's not a card you should play early if you can avoid it. The value comes of getting double summons of redemption double hp on 2+ minions with never surrender, or sometimes draw 4 cards of hidden wisdom. Is she crucial? No I wouldn't say but just as the bellringer, she has the potential to seal the game if played at the right time.
Liking the deck so far. Using Subject 9 instead of Rhyssa since I don't have her and haven't been overly impressed from what I've seen. It actually is pretty nice to thin the deck for the mid to late game.
Could I put in Kangor's Endless Army for something?
Kangor's is crucial to regaining tempo. No other Paladin card in rotation has an effect even remotely similar to it. You can try a high cost minion of some sort but it won't come remotely close to Endless Army.
No games vs bomb warrior, sad.
