I try to update my stats every day:
Btw I'm really confused why the guides on the homepage with extreme high win rate in the title doesn't have a screenshot as proof. And so many upvotes! Hmmm....
I found this deck on cocosasa's twitter. I had an amazing time playing this deck. If you don't like reading, you can watch the video and subscribe to my youtube channel by clicking HERE
Watch part 2:
Watch part 3 with some hsreplay stats explained:
This deck has a good early game with secrets on turn 1, Sunreaver Spy turn 2 is insane on curve. Good mid game with the annoying 4-drops, especially combined with Redemption. And huge late game cards with Tirion Fordring, Kangor's Endless Army, and much more! This deck really feels like a meta breaker! No Psychic Scream in standard, FeelsGoodMan! And I haven't seen any silences (yet).
My favorite cards to start while having the coin: Redemption on turn 1, afk on turn 2(don't hero power) watch the video and you know what I mean. Turn 3 coin out Bellringer Sentry. Turn 4 another Bellringer Sentry or Annoy-o-Module. If you have Hidden Wisdom instead of Redemption, you do press hero power of course. Or play Sunreaver Spy if you have it on turn 2.
Now without coin, you should go for 1 secret and always Sunreaver Spy and keep also any 4 drop IF you already have the 1 and 2 drop. But in slow matchups you still can keep the Bellringer Sentry, it's just the best card in this deck. It will thin out your deck, meaning a few steps closer to good top-decks!
Situational keeps: Aldor Peacekeeper is good against mage and warlock, because of Mountain Giant. Harrison Jones is good against rogue and warrior. Mysterious Blade is good against rogue, they have lots of 3 hp minions. Consecration is always a keep against druid.
Remember, if you have the worst secret during mulligan, which is Never Surrender! and you also have Sunreaver Spy, don't hard mulligan for another secret. That's too greedy! A secret is better than no secret at all!
I have won all my games without drawing Commander Rhyssa if I'm not mistaken. She can be replaced by an Ironbeak Owl, good against Edwin VanCleef, the only game I lost because of not running silence :( Countess Ashmore can be replaced by Hecklebot. This is very good against aggro and it's a mech! Not so good against control, but you already have the advantage against control matchups, so you don't have to play it while it's in your hand. Harrison Jones can be replaced by an Acidic Swamp Ooze, but keep in mind not to play this while Redemption is active. You need the Redemption for your 4-drops.
I hope this guide will help you to climb higher on ladder. Up-votes will motivate me to do more guides in the future. Good luck on ladder!
New freeze mage post: https://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1268917-freeze-mage-is-back
Was beginning to lose interest in my legendary tier decks when I found this baby. I gotta say, it's a lot of fun and runs at a tempo distinct to the current meta. I'm running Spellbreaker because I don't own Rhyssa, and the silence has saved me against VanCleef, Grave Horror, etc. Just went on an epic win streak, 12W 3L from rank 5 to 3. Enjoy!
Love the idea of this deck , I removed Rhyssa and use x1 acolyte instead
Super fun deck but I’m missing three legendaries (rhyssa, Countess Ashmore, and Harrison jones). I have enough for one of these legends, which one Ian most important to this deck?
my opinion;
craft ashmore.
1) Jones is easily replacable with ooze
2) rhyssa is not a must add for me since it is very situational and can have low value in some games, so you can tech in something different
3)ashmoore is very unique in its abilty, so its hard to replace
awesome I was leaning Rhyssa so thank you for the response!
Can confirm, this is a solid deck list. Got me from rank 4 to legend last night for the first time with a winrate of over 70% last night. It absolutely stomps warriors and feels to have a pretty solid matchup against almost any other deck. My favorite part about it is that its very consistent, and doesn't really rely on random rng effects to be able to win.
The main ways this deck I find struggles is when the opponent can create a big early threat before you can, since there's no hard removal at all in the deck list and aggressive decks. That rogue plays a 12/12 Edwin on turn 4 against you? Well, it's pretty much lost, unless aldor peacekeeper is in hand and even then it's going to be a hard match to win. Summoner mage is hard for the same reason, without an equality + consecration/wild pyro, there's no way to deal with it if they are summoning 4+ 8/8 giants by turn 5 or 6.
Aggro isn't too difficult, though if they high roll and get a nuts opener it's going to be pretty impossible to win. I think I managed to improve such matchups by being less greedy with my resources and focusing on stabilizing my life total rather than maximizing value. Early on, I'd try to hold off on playing out things like zilliax so I could magnetize it to something like a whelp and get a much better Kangor's draw. That makes sense against a slow control warrior, but usually the tempo and life gain is going to be needed, otherwise you die before the value even starts to matter.
Overall this is a pretty solid list! Worked out quite well for me.
Haha what a horrible deck.
Very funny deck to play. In 10 games met only 2 players with silence which destroyed my buffed mechs. And secret synergy goes wild with mechs here. Definetly reccomend to play.
How important is Hidden Wisdom? Can I replace it with something else?
Don't think so. The deck is desperate for card draw. And when you draw twice with Rhyssa... Damn, feelsgoodman.
Going to try this deck only because I am prescribed to your Youtube channel lol
10 straight wins from rank 19 to 13. Deck is awesome.
It's a fun deck but inconsistent and burns cards fast. It's also not that good vs control, but handles aggro quite well imo. As soon as they play a minion with big health it doesn't have a lot of ways to handle it. All you can do is wait for your mech combos and then hope for Kangor's Army. Shrink Ray would fix this. Also, if you're going to replace Ashmore, you need something with card draw. How about Weaponized Piñata? You can get value two times from it. Harrison is a dead card most of the time, so I would replace that with a more consistent card.
This deck is so good !
I remember climbing the ladder with my Paladin 2 years ago, and now it gives me the same feeling of invincibility I used to have with other decks.
The only problem I have is that over 30 games I never got a single secret in mulligan. In the video he has 1 secret + turn 2 + 2 turn 4 easy at every game, and then there's me who end up with Tyrion and 2 turn 5+ 90% of the time
Interesting you made it work. For me it is about 16% winrate so far. Too fast change of meta?
I love this deck and I have done super well with it on ladder, but oh dear god, enjoy losing to rogue all day every day
Watch the videos how I deal with rogues. Good luck!
How do you guys handle the agro Murloc Shamans? I've lost every single time to that deck.
Recently I've removed one Aldor for a Spellbreaker. Maybe it's just me but I'm seeing quite a few Mech Hunters and even the occasional Nomi Priest. No one is really running silence and the ability to screw up one of their giant mechs (Hunters) or a taunt (Priest) can catch your opponent off guard.
Also, in the mirror match, nothing will enrage your opponent more than you silencing a huge mech they've created.
Of course, this goes both ways - if silence becomes more popular this deck may be too vulnerable to it to be successful. Currently sitting at legend 1500-2000 with this and it's going well.
Man this is best deck ever, almost got my legend first time lol (from 7 rank 0 stars to 2 rank 2 stars, 78% win rate).
Swap Commander Rhyssa to [card]Crystalsmith Kangor[/card] works fine with Kings and zilliax
